So many people wanted to actually meet Greta Garbo and were never able to do so. Garbo had a Swedish temperament and liked her privacy. It worked for her image at MGM and the Studio played upon this personality trait. As Garbo always said "I want to be alone" in the movies for her private life she said "I want to be left alone". And thankfully for the most part (even though she had to endure those seeking an interview or photographs) Garbo was left alone to enjoy her friends and those close to her.
@@garynilsson416 Little is said today about Nils Asther, but during the Golden Age of Hollywood, he was known as the male Garbo. They remained good friends throughout their lives. In fact Garbo kept a painting by Nils Asther in her New York home which was sold at the first Auction of the belongings in her apartment.
Garbo iced out Freddie Bartholemew ( “Anna Karenina”) after passed along a family request for Garbo’s autograph; what would she have done to Cora Sue for trying to set up a meeting?
I love these stories .
Without a doubt Garbo was and still in my opinion the most beautiful divine face I’ve ever scene. Undeniable. Thanks for this sweet memory ♥️👍😊
What a treasure, so glad we've had so many wonderful interviews and stories from Cora Sue.
More, please!!
She is still so beautiful

Even Bette Davis in a 1970's interview stated that she always wanted to meet Garbo but was never able to get a meeting set up.
So much bad publicity. Turns out she was nice
