    We also have a samsung induction stove. Having issues with it now as it is 7 or 8 years old. We also bought the extended warranty which we used as the oven stopped working after cleaning. Presently the burners on the right side work intermittently. One other issue with our samsung induction stove is that when you are cooking on one burner and turn on another then you loose heat from original turned that was turned off. The reverse happens when you turn off a burner(frustrating). Not great when cooking heat sensitive food. On the positive side it does do a great job boiling water. We will not be purchasing another induction stove. I should also mention that the samsung repairman said that samsung makes a pretty good tv.

    • @Linus007
      @Linus007  Рік тому

      Thank you for the information on your experience. The oven that I have here is brand new, but it is important to know of issues. I have read here in the comments that some people have seen issues after using the cleaning mode which introduces a very large amount of heat into the oven. I suspect that that heat is not vented away quick enough and that has caused problems with electronics for the burners.
      One can argue with that might happen with a regular stove if electronics are used to vary the heat levels.
      I am not having any of the issues that your experience with one burner losing its heat if another is turned on.

    I purchased a portable version and end up using it exclusively, so looking to replace our coil range with this Samsung unit. My only concern is my aluminum pressure canners. I guess I'm going to have to purchase a portable coil burner for canning season. I wish they made a range with 3 burner induction and one as radiant to cover the odd duck cookware.

    Thank you for showing your new stove. I’m considering an induction stove and am wanting to know if you compared this stove to the Samsung NE63B8211SS/AA or the Frigidaire GCRI3058AF by chance before making your purchase. Appreciate your thoughts.

    • @Linus007
      @Linus007  Рік тому +2

      Go with the Samsung range. Frigidaire has the boor seal on the door, and food can drip on it. Samsung's seal is on the range. The Samsung sheet metal is better sealed than the Frigidaire. I like having knobs to turn the burners on and off. This is important to quickly change the setting. Frigidaire uses a button to raise and lower the temperature.

    I am considering the Samsung version without the air fryer/convection as it is less expensive but think I might be missing out on the air frying. • @Linus007

      I recommend a separate air fryer that specializes in that function. A specialized air fryer device will function better. The air fryer on the oven is great, but the extra cost could be better spent on a less expensive device.

      i bought the non airfryer/convection version myself. I already have an air fryer and frome what I've read, the range air fryers dont perform well in general. There is still the convection option to consider. I have never used convection, so it seemed unnecessary to me and the difference was significant. Something like $400-500 more for the convection version. I'm having it installed today, so hopefully I like it!

    • @Linus007
      @Linus007  Рік тому

      @@wuliwong the convection option is wonderful. Meals cook faster with or the same amount of time with lower heat. The food cooks evenly. My comment about the air fryer should not colour your options. For us, the air fryer is amazing.

    • @robertstitt9943
      @robertstitt9943 Рік тому

      Well, I purchased the air fry/convection version of this range. I don't have a separate airfryer so I went with this. Having had a convection oven I liked that feature too. Haven't used the airfyer option yet so we'll have to wait and see. Took 3 months to actually get it as it was back ordered. Don't know if this was a production issue with Samsung or if everyone was buying them. My previous range had the controls at the back, hated having to reach over hot pots/pans to adjust the burners. So, I'm really happy with the front controls. Love that it's wifi as it is connected to my new Samsung microwave that's installed over the range. Have it set so that when the range turns on the under neath lights turn on lighting up the stove top and the fan turns on too. Took your advice and purchased the Lazy K silicon mats...work like a charm. The feature where the individual burner turns off if a pan is removed and the burner is still set to "on". Saved me and my wife already. Love the precise heating adjustments and the really quick response to changes. Just a note, had to buy some new pots and pans. We have some Al Clad that will work and some Costco non stick (they worked awesome on the old stove but weren't induction rated) but I wanted some non stick. Decided to get a set of "Made In" non stick. Great pans. Again, thank you for your review and insights.

    • @Linus007
      @Linus007  16 днів тому

      @@cavy95 so far no warping. The pads have no impact on that. Warping could be caused by a sudden change such as washing a hot pan cold water. That is a quick change in temperature is hard to accomplish from room temperature to extreme hot.
      We are using heavy iron, skillets, and enameled pans. We do have one pan with a steel bottom to it, and it has been used to rapidly boil water. I guess it is possible with a very thin inexpensive pan, but we do not use those since it is easy to burn food.
