I love this format, thanks to your videos I went with Cafe induction, and no regrets. Look so beautiful in my kitchen

Really appreciate your videos- thanks! The 36" induction range market looks like a disaster, so much so that I'm considering 30" for our full kitchen remodel. Is that crazy? I cook all the time, and all that matters to me are: reliability, knobs, bridge element, solid oven and broiler, and a unit that isn't overly noisy (I keep reading about "cooldown fans"). What would you advise? I was sold on fisher and paykel until I found out it vents out of the front- that's sounds awful! Thanks again.

For those that are asking, I have the 36" F&P Induction. Got it a few months ago, and the oven is now non-functional. The knob controlling the oven in particular broke, the electronics behind it. It felt flimsy. The knobs are not as comfortable as other gas ranges I'm familiar with like Viking and Thermador. The cooktop itself has a perfect design, which was why I got it. They have a service rep coming and have been responsive in that way, so we'll hope they fix it with no fuss. Besides this oven problem, I love the design and will likely bring it with me when I move.

The Bosch 800 Series HII8057U slide-in drops down onto the counter so the glass top sits against the countertop and should prevent spilled liquid from going down the crack between the stove and the cabinet. But look beyond the back of that overlapping-width glass top, there's the less wide metal vent that goes across the back of the stove. That vent is only as wide as the counter cutout, not as wide as the glass. That leaves a gap between the vent and the edge of the countertop at the very back of the counter cutout. Unless you plug that gap with, say, chewing gum, surely something is going to go down there, and it will be quite an operation to get in there and clean it up. Is there some installation technique that is supposed to take care of that gap? Has this ever come up with any of your customers?

Count me in as another person disappointed you didn't include a Fisher and Paykel, I just had to make this decision and ordered their 36'' contemporary model. I don't live in a huge metro so there's not a lot of places selling higher end appliances like this and they mostly focus on gas here, the result is while there's a good variety I can buy the only model on display I found was that Thermador. After my online research I was leaning towards the F&P and getting hands on with the Thermador didn't change it, the top seemed unimpressive to me, less power than the F&P or Bosch, far to much real estate taken up by the controls on top, and being touch-only is a complete deal killer for me, when I need to fine tune the power I want a knob not capacitive touch. You can't redo the video but I'd still be interested in hearing where you'd rank the F&P.

    • @BelgianTex

@@YaleAppliance1 Perhaps you could talk about Fulgor Milano? I wouldn't even put them in the "emerging" company realm anymore as they've been around for a while. I've looked at them in person and they seem well made, solid frame and knobs, good burner wattage, nice oven features and adequate size (comparable to Bosch, Wolf, Miele size).
For me right now it's a toss-up between Miele (checks all the boxes but the most expensive), Wolf (smallest size cooking surface but awesome oven) or Fulgor Milano. The local dealer who does sell them did confirm they have very few service calls on their induction ranges, but it remains a bit of an obscure brand. Any insights on Fulgor Milano would be most welcome

Bertazzoni wins hands-down in terms of aesthetics. All the others are DRAB with their ubiquitous stainless steel, white, or black finishes. WHY is it so difficult for manufacturers of ANY appliances to think and see in color?

Maybe you guys have already done a video on this, and if so, would you be able to guide me there? I'm starting the research for a new induction stove. I am in Canada, but not sure if that matters. I had an older Samsung induction, which when cooking on two of the burners on one side, it would split the power between the burners. I often cook with 3 or more pans, boiling in one, frying in the other two, and the Samsung I had, was a struggle to manage the power available at times. Would you guys be able to explain how each stove top works? You mention the twin burners, does that mean there's only two? Not 4? And the Thermador having the best top, but what if I need to cook with 3 pans?
Great video, and content. Learned a lot here! Thanks for putting these up!

Man, i was about to order that AGA 48" range...sad to hear that it is flimsy...I even managed to justify to myself the smaller ovens as a positive feature, 😆
The only other 48" induction range i could find was the one by Fulgor-Milano...do they suffer from the reliability issues of the other Italian brands?
Since I am looking for a 48" would you advise is to wait for the bluestar, F&P, and others to release their 48" instead of going Fulgor?

    • @YaleAppliance1

@@YaleAppliance1 thanks. Who all are coming out with a 48" range and do we know when we can expect it to be out? I know you mentioned Bluestar and F&P - anyone else? Say Wolf or Miele?
I have already started the addition and renovations...I could just do a 30" temporary range and ask my designer for a filler solution for the rest of the space till a 48" I want is available I guess...not ideal and won't go over well with the Family but that is future me's problems, 😆

7:50 nice reviews and comparisons! I really like the innovations that Miele appliances have amongst some are ahead of other brands. MasterChef is definitely a big help for cooking with a lot less hassles. However I couldn’t find the MasterChef program on the M Tough screen of the recent HR16223I unit. Instead there are some automated programs which look similar. Is Miele taken away the MasterChef on the newer units or just renamed the program? Thanks.
