I still don't understand how Scientologist justify LRH who wrote the guides to a successful marriage was married 3 times, or Tom Cruise the highest level Scientologists also married 3 times. If any of us read a guide book to a successful marriage and found out the author was married 3 times, we'd laugh.
Very true but they don’t care about marriage or see it as important. Remember they are all millions of years old and just a orb using a body to get around that’s why children are treated like adults because they just dropped the old body and got in a new one until it’s time to do it again

I was uninformed about Scientology at the time of the couch jumping, but I thought he was ridiculous. I thought it was so embarrassing.

@@atticusblau3788 IIRC at the time I thought much of the interview seemed such a fake overshowing of emotion for the cameras, but was more expecting it was just being in a bubble of actors why was losing capacity to portray a normal person any more. The couch jumping did not even seem the oddest thing about his behavior in the interview; from staring and leaning in a way that looked like a stalker, to creepy laughter, to some mannerism that seem more expected from a child than adult.

I had not really heard about or knew anything about scientology until i saw a Tom Cruise interview where he publicly shamed Brooke Shields for her PPD. Hated him and scientology ever since. Ruined a lot of my favorite movies because of that a$$hat (Legend, Top Gun) and I haven't watched anything he has been in since Interview with a vampire. Im a huge Val Kilmer fan and the top gun thing really kills me 😢

Yeah, the "slave labour" thing is a bit tricky. I've been in organisations that relied on a lot of free labour for The Cause. I don't regret any of the effort I put into those projects, but none of them were like doing up the leader's garden, or anything similar.
But in Scientology, you’re working 100 hours a week for little money and don’t develop any real life skills or career skills that can go onto making a living. When Jenna Miscaviage left she was completely dependent on her boyfriend to make a living, because she wasn’t even qualified to do an entry level job.
I thought it was obnoxious when he did that. So much so, I refuse to watch the Hertz commercial that has the same scenario. I will literally click out of it immediately, then restart the video with a different commercial 😂😂

I don't understand why anyone makes a big deal about Tom Cruise. I don’t think he makes much of a difference to anything in the scheme of things as far as the longevity of Scientology. Being silly can be fun. Exuberance, playfulness are so wonderful. But there is such a thing as going too far in front of an audience. I'm an actress, and I'm always aware that when I do something in public, I always want to maintain my dignity. In life in general, but especially in public. Always seek to maintain standards and boundaries, so that your life and actions reflect your self esteem. For example, it may not be the wisest decision to do nude scenes or cuss in public. Or do really undignified roles or heaven forbid porn. I'm not judging anybody but no matter how young someone is, and how foolishly they want to behave, please always be mindful that what you show people, they will likely always remember, so always strive to make wise decisions about the image you present to the public especially. Always seek to make the public laugh with you, not at you, if you want a long successful career. And especially if you want to be a legend 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆

True, but most people have known Scientology was a weird cult for a LONG time. I've known since at least the late 90's. And I read about their whole Xenu story sometime in the early 2000's and I couldn't believe anyone could be so gullible.

It's impossible to read someone's mind. Your mind is where you decide right from wrong, there is no good information to be had there at all. You would have to be out of your mind to want to or attempt to or believe you can. Your emotions are the filters it all goes through before it manifests as reality. Scientology puts pressure on all your senses and emotions so that you start to do exactly what they want you to do making it appear as if they can read your mind. But it's their mind they are using to do so. If you believe different than that you don't belong in any society on this planet.

I was right in between their ages at the time and it was the creepiest thing I'd ever seen on live tv. He was completely manic and it was as if he was selling something on an infomercial
Hypothetically, if i had the ability to talk to you 24 / 7, 365 nonstop through let's just say, your cell phone for this scenario. And during this time what i want to do is narrate your entire life. A play by play of your entire existence like having a John Madden call your life. To do this i would also have to violate your personal privacy and living situation or it wouldn't be possible. Destabilize your mind psyche and living situation. (Considered torture by law and the Geneiva Conventions for human rights.) At what point during this can i start suggesting an activity. So instead of a command to say, "make your bed." Me knowing your daily habits because I'm watching your every move already for several years now and narrating your entire life for you. What if for today i don't want you to make your bed. And all of a sudden John Madden all of a sudden says something like "He makes his bed daily, I wonder if he will ever skip that for just a day. " You ignore John this time. But what it cost you is ridicule; John makes fun of you for making your bed every day. Only crazy institutionalized people do that. Or maybe he's got some other mental issue going on up there as to why he feels the need to make his bed every day. So, the next day rolls around and it's getting to that time you usually make your bed. Once again John, who is still narrating your entire existence, Comes in again. "I wonder if this crazy guy is going to make his bed again today. " So not wanting to deal with all of John's BS for the rest of the day your skip making your bed.

That one was easy and harmless, seemingly. But make no mistake on the severity of what just happened. Easy and harmless over time can become complicated and destructive and trust becomes the issue. And who are you trusting becomes the issue. Is it you or is it John. who do you trust when it gets really complicated and you can no longer tell if it's you or John you're trusting or not trusting.
