Swans may look impressive when taking off but when they are landing they are far from graceful. Heaviest flying bird, I think... So obviously a water landing is never going to be a smooth one... Speaking of smooth landings, I was once at a fireworks display, either for Bonfire night, might have been NYE but the body of water near where the even was happening was home to a few dozen swans but had recently frozen over. And even though it had been that way for a few days the swans would be walking on the ice, confused. Seeing them trying to take off from a frozen lake was very funny. Seeing them forget it was solid after 5 minutes of flying and trying to land was even funnier. It was one of the few times I actually thought I would die from laughing. I honestly couldn't breathe because of laughter. hahahaha
Have you ever considered watching Warehouse 13 or Eureka? Both SyFy originals, very pseudoscience-y. I feel like, given the shows you enjoy, you'd be really into them.
Quite a while ago, before the internet was everywhere, I was sat at home with my girlfriend when there was a knock at the door. It was a guy asking me if I wanted to take part in a 20 minute survey for £50? I was young but not stupid, I asked to see all his credentials and I wanted to know exactly what I'd be doing before letting any one inside. It seemed relatively straight forward. He would just show us logo's and played jingles and he'd take notes on if we knew them and how quick we were to guess them. But as I was with my girl I said can I take the test and get £50 cash, then Sameena take the test and get £50? At first he said no and left but he was back a minute later after next door, an alcoholic older lady told him to fook off. So he said yes and he'd just say on the paperwork he had been let in by my neighbour. I told him not to worry as she will not remember if she had or hadn't. He said it would take a maximum of 20 minutes each but he'd done us both in under 15 minutes as we guessed really quickly. And he gave us £100 in cash before he left. It was a real shame as we'd just moved into the area, not only was it our first house but it was the first time either of us had left our parents. If we were still in the rougher part of town we could have sorted it for him to get robbed. He must have had a lot of cash on him if he was giving out £50 to each person surveyed. But we wanted to be better people so we moved to the top end of the village where it was nicer. lol.
A "Great British Dog Off" would be something very different 🤣🤣🤣
