- i watched so many hours of these specials in such a short time and my brain is fried now :) i hope you enjoy
sorry abt the midrolls folks i didn’t put em in
i’d like to ask everyone to refrain from being misogynistic and mean towards mel b in my comments. i would not have put her clip first or in this compilation at all if i knew it would spark such needlessly mean spirited comments. i don’t have anything against her, just thought the clip was funny.
Misogynistic? We don't dislike her because she's a woman, that has nothing to do with it; we dislike her because she acts like an incredibly self-entitled snob who can't take a joke.
People are twats
But she was just being a miserable female dog... Why would you say to another celeb (seriously) that they are really weird on a quiz show?
@@OidHunterhe's really weird, that's literally his schtick on that show
I'd like it if you could use capital letters at the start of each sentence.
them not teaming up always make me feel like a child of divorce
It makes me feel more like a child of divorce than my actual parents divorcing did tbfh
As a child of divorced parents, you know what there like? The mentality unstable stable older siblings who are giving their poor dad (jimmy) a hard time
@@keelieinwonderlandI don’t know why I received a notification of your comment. But I am thankful nonetheless! 😂
IT Crowd was great, these guys are absolutely maximum cringe in panel settings though
I feel like that since the noel and russel team is no more
This dynamic is like when a teacher decides to sit the quiet high achieving student next to the weird disruptive kid thinking that it'll make them behave and it backfires spectacularly
Exactly! 😂 The result is pure joy.
Now he’s smart and chaotic!
"Jimmy, you've lost control of the class!!!"
Achieving disruption 😂😂
I would argue that any teacher attempting to predict which of these two is the weird disruptive kid is, as Taylor Tomlinson might put it, wasting their goddamned time.
Noel and Richard refusing to ask any relevant questions to the mystery guest gets me every time.
Omg, TOTALLY! IM 😂😂😂😂 over that!!!
24:15 for those looking for a timestamp, because OP doesn't care about making things easy for you.
@@howdj Thanks for the timestamp, but wow that was rude of you.
@tesscrelli783 shut up, he's right. People that don't put timestamps are scum of the earth

" his hairs still wet from the fucking womb " Gets me every time!
i would put that in top10 scenes in any panel shows ever and i did watch henning wehn 90s stories, everything from sean lock, bob mortimer god knows what and that fucking horse story from the scotish one.
that entire scene kills me whenever I think about it
“YER HAIRS STILL WET FROMTHEFUCKING W O M B!”
“These 2 ancient fucks!”
Favourite line ever
No one can heckle with compliments like Ayoade.

Your mum
Go’on boy, fetch us a point

It makes me laugh more than when he goes off on Rob 😂

8:28 Richard has that “I’ve been bullied harder by more clever people” energy
I love Noel's laid-back, almost whimsically giggly persona completely changing to being DEEPLY insulted by the sheer idea of Baby Shark that it makes him the most serious and animated I've ever seen him on this and any show.
Music is serious business to Noel
Richard Ayoade making Mel B's brain explode by eating a banana was one of this show's absolute best moments. Had me on the fucking floor the first time I saw it. That whole episode was like Mel B walked into the wrong show by mistake
Yeah Mel B has no sense of humour, she's just one of those straight people who doesn't get it, Richard wins!
Did you read her last book? She explains why she acted like that on this show? She would be better on it now.
@@truediva18 as if I would read her book?!? :)
@@truediva18no clue she had a book, what’d she say?
@@quanayia9972 I did a quick google search, didn't find what she said specifically about that appearance in her book but I found out that she hid a drug problem at the time (cocaine) that she developed because of her 10 year long abusive relationship. In that interview she talks about how she felt miserable during that time and cocaine took her pain away, she said she didn't take it during the filming of x factor. Maybe this is why she wasn't in a particular good or humerous mood and being confused and irritable.
noel being enamoured with richard's slightly off-centre word choices is why i aspire to talk funny forever
He’s literally his muse I’m convinced 😂😂
it’s “these two ancient fucks” that always gets me crying cause they didn’t do anything but he’s right they just let it happen
“Yeah but is it your mum though” is such an accurate impression of that particular style of 2000s secondary school humour.
reminds me of the catherine tate show
@@idontcarewherejustfar : that’s what I kept thinking too! Am I bovvered? 😉😂
I love how Noel did not even HESITATE to lean in to give Richard eskimo kisses
27:24
How does Richard absolutely roast Jimmy without sounding mean at all?
It's a British thing. Listen to David Bowie roasting MTV back in the back. Very calm, kind. I think Brain May also did it a couple of times.
Was it because of your Mum?
if someone stole and ate my tray of malteasers I'd be FUMING
id genuinely cry
Malteasers are fucking amazing
malteasers are pretty expensive in my country 💀 so i barely have it in me to share them 😂
“has anyone read the Da Vinci Code?”
“Get fucked” 😂😂😂
Accusing Jonathan Ross that he "let bullying happen in the workplace" is an underappreciated moment in Richard's sweets breakdown
He said it to carr
@@jpm199 He said "No, no, no, Jonathan, you let bullying...", although it's hard to hear with all the laughs. (12:41)
@@geoffbettelhoffven11i hear “he”, not “you”
Kk
@@zina2435Yes he is talking TO Jonathan ABOUT Jimmy. Jonathan is trying to reason with him but Richard isn’t having it.
“You don’t know anything! You were born 20 minutes ago!”
I’m gonna integrate that into my vocabulary
How has Richard not been given the roll of the doctor. He would absolutely kill it. I would also love to see noel on doctor who as well.
the perfect cryptid for the show
Dude this, he has the perfect personality to play the Doctor.
Yessss that needs to happen 😂❤
oh my god yes!!!! that would be perfect
Too sensible for current casting nobs
Oh my god, the face Richard made when Jimmy mentioned Submarine. He just couldn't stifle the smile. Given his usual dry demeanor, he must've been cheering inside at that moment. This warms my heart. You can tell he was so proud and coudn't contain himself.
It's a brilliant film he should really be proud off. I'd be the same way in his shoes lol
The smug smile Rob has as he's eating Richard's chocolate is the expression of a man who is entirely unaware that he's about to be verbally eviscerated later in the compilation
That Malteser thing is the most British thing I've ever seen on a TV show, that "ooh I'll have one" and then parcelling it out for everyone lmao
Noel throwing a fit because of his intense dislike of baby shark is perfect
It always impresses me just how much Richard can make other comedians laugh.
Subverting their expectation is probably the best source of humour for a comedian.
Richard freaked out Mel B better than Eric Andre and that is something to be proud of.
Mel B just seemed utterly confused the entire episode. Baffling guest choice
She is just not cut out to appear in shows where everyone's quick witted comedian. This is not for everyone.
Mel B proved to be an absolute moron in that episode. Everyone else on the show was clearly losing their patience with her.
@@TheCakeIAmHer sense of humor was kidnapped by Jimmy's mum. Or she didn't have any.
Mel B’int that smart
Every time they team up it’s so easy to see that they’re clearly the strongest team at the start, by the midway point they decide to go balls to walls insanity and come out with some of the most insane answers on the show, then by the end they’re both nearly asleep.
It’s like watching kids on a sugar high, it’s fantastic.
Richard’s rant is a still one of my favorite bits of all the big fat quizzes. The man is just insane 😂
I always thought Richard was genuinely a little mad when his tray of sweets were taken, and decided to take that energy and turn it into a joke. The way he sat on it though, waiting for the best moment, that’s what makes him an insanely great comedian.
My favorite thing about Mel B being on that show is that she would rather be eating broken glass.
How they decided it'd be a good idea to get her on a second time, I have absolutely no clue.
Her career took a bit of a nose dive huh
she’s not used to public entertainment in such a casual, yet high-pressure environment. i can imagine how scary it might be constantly afraid you’ll say the wrong thing, being surrounded by people who make a *living* being funny, a live audience who’ll let you know immediately if you’re being unfunny
@@McBaller96 She's not scared, she's mad that she's there.
@@somefreshbread i think she’s just trying to play the straight-man but doesn’t really know how
the "your mum" moment will always be hilarious to me
Whether from the US or the UK or outer space, just like a Blak person to throw in a "Yo momma" jab! "Was it your mum" and "your mum" = "Yo momma". LMAO!
"I worked HARD in the morning" always has me rolling
The iconic tray of sweets meltdown is so amazing
11:50 is perhaps the most fun that they ever had there lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 "use me, use me as a premise" epic line
Richard's meltdown remains to be one of the best thing to come out of this show
Noel’s ensembles are gorgeous - and hilarious - that ruffly New Romantic poetic shirt was amazing. Also, I’ve been watching this for years, and I just noticed that Noel has lovely baby blues.
"Every time you laugh, I can't believe that's your laugh." Seriously!
this was randomly recommended to me. i have never even heard of this show.
and i love it so much these two are hilarious
little update: i’ve now binge watched almost all full episodes of tbfq on yt and am now falling into an obsession with taskmaster. i cannot be stopped

The "your mum" rabbit hole Richard and Noel go down is my favorite. Simple, funny, and effective
2:03 this whole bit gets me every time
Richard's very funny. I fkn love when he gets mad. "There's blood in my ears now. It's very hard to climb down from this energy"
Lol I’m watching this for the first time, loving Richard’s banter
I tried to play this in the background while trying to be productive and all I can say is...mission failed, we'll get 'em next time 😭
1:34 This throws me back to film studies, cause we literally studied Submarine in class. It’s a really good film!
Jimmy's "You know I don't like fun" at the beginning of the Malteaser incident is an underrated moment
They have the best dynamic, they really do fit the description of ‘niche corner’ incredibly well.
They have the dynamic of longtime friends that end up married but they’ve been together so long that they’re kind of sick of each other but they vibe really well. Like a pair of gay dads/husbands that never get along but just work together. I could just imagine them getting up to all kinds of trouble as like school friends. Which would be a really cool book/show, just the small town’s goth kid and nerdy kid (the kind of nerd that’s into really obscure stuff, probably doesn’t do well in school but could tell you loads about the most random subjects) getting up to all kinds of stuff, like fighting cryptids or solving murders
noel's giggling works so well with a sraight edge partner, morcambe and wise eat your heart out LOL
I feel like Noel was underused on IT Crowd. Such a funny guy.
underused and still managed to be the best character in the show. Noel's character is also one of the most memorable
Discover thr Mighty Boosh you really get a good window as to how fucking geniusly weird he is
they are Britain's power couple
I have never seen Jimmy roasted this hard. I laughed so hard at how really good it was xD
smashing a mug for the drama then fussing that "someone could get hurt" is peak noel fielding
"The F*cking Crow Boy!" 🤣
12:24 this part kills me EVERY time
Mel was clearly not used to being out gunned by a totally not star struck Geeky Richard
“Go’on boy, go’on. Fetch us a point”
Felt genuinely sorry for Richard when they stole his sweets 😩
nice compilation :) i gotta say the substitute teacher bit is one of my favorites, glad to see it on here
Submarine is actually a really good film
ah yes, glad to see we were all raised by these two :)
Noel and richard are a perfect team
‘I would never insist that you are rodeo’ always gets me 😂
"It wasn't just that the sex had gone wrong" HAHA lol
Watching Richard's explosive mental pong at each of them, again, made me recapture how damn funny it was. Then, the brief breath, &"comedown," when he takes that cola bottle. Splendid.
Noel's random outbursts kill me. 😅
I couldnt belive how funnier Richard is as a person than Moss from IT Crowd when i first saw him on a panel show.
The your mum bit is so funny
This is what happens when the nerd and the goth sit together at the start of the school year
Richard and Noel should be eternally contractually bound as partners on The Big Fat Quiz. You can't deny perfection.
Noel and Richard are always hilarious. My first introduction to the pairing was with the IT Crowd years ago. I think they both just do TV to be able to play themselves. They're not that far from their characters in the IT Crowd. Noel wears much the same outfits as his character did and so does Richard.
"Subject: Fire. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to inform you of a fire that has broken out on the premises of 123 Cavendon Road... no, that's too formal.

0:18 Mel B you come at the king you best not miss.
I love Richard and Noel 😂😂
Just remember if you can't stand Mel b, there is a Mel b-free edit of The big fat quiz of 2015. And the only thing you'll miss is the joke at the very beginning of this particular clip.
Am I the only one who thought she was funny
@@kellis6462she was funny

5:27 I don’t know why but Rob throwing sweets over his shoulder is hilarious to me
19:05 😂 honestly this has got to be one of the most underrated deliveries. The fact that Roisin just said three shoes like this is normal...and then doubled down.

Richard Ayoade and Mel B is the rom-com you never knew you needed. At the start of the film it seems like their differences are insurmountable, but somehow the film takes you on the journey of a lifetime to true love.
Adam Buxton is a hero of mine, but I can't help laughing when Richard calls him an ancient fuck.
Richard Ayoade is incredibly funny. He's like a real-life Sheldon Cooper except not incredibly annoying to watch/listen to.
04:30. And the LEGENDARY Meltdown at 12:05. Amazing. 😂👍🎉
This was always me and my best mate sat together in school. The nerdy Art Kid, and me the arty Nerd Kid. Matching each other’s weird energy. Them with the emo hair, sketch book full of really good anime art and carrying around the ukulele they would be playing Green Day and MCR covers on at break time, dressing like a crow at any given opportunity, and me with my impeccable school uniform caring a lot about the quality of my education but hating every bit of it, top of the class but could never finish a test because I was neurodivergent and smart enough that SEN felt me struggling to complete any assignments wasn’t a good enough reason to support me because who needs extra time if you know the answers but can’t finish a test to save your life and consistently underperform despite knowing the content. They were really quite weird, but loved and matched my equally niche energy and understood my jokes that would end in shit like ‘naval policy’. Them recovering from self harm and schizophrenia and never judged by me and my undiagnosed autism and ADHD and my subsequent burnout and depression. We’d talk about politics and Pokémon and music and art and niche comedy and anime and mental illness and our experiences as the queer and trans kids our bad acne making our faces hurt all of the time and listening to other friends freak out about the ONE barely visible spot they had on the weekend that NO ONE EVER EVEN SAW until they realised why we sat in silence making no move to offer condolences. When we met in year 7 I had enamel pins of Pokémon gym badges pinned to the inside of my school blazer above the useful inside pocket and they thought it was cool and showed me their fan art of Cynthia and Garchomp.
Good times.
