26:00 - easy and simple solution is to use two wedges: one wedge gets screwed or glued to the side of the carcass (pointy bit towards the ceiling) and one wedge (pointy bit down) gets slid in from the top, basically a self centering solution. Couple light taps with a hammer if you want and it's fixed while still being removable if need be. If you really wanna fix it in position for good you always interconnect the two wedges with a screw or glue. Works the same on ceilings (if they're concrete and not drywall) if you need downward pressure.
Fantastic recovery guys! That top unit looked heavy and I'm not surprised one of you let one go at 11.41! 😂😂 Perfect example of good prep, check, re check and correct before you lifted on the top unit. You would'nt want to lift something like that twice! I discovered the benefits of "flat Pack" assembly after building a back to back wardrobe/tv unit from screwed and glued 18mm MRMDF. Two of us tried to lift it up a staircase and couldnt after realising that the three sheets of MRMDF it was made from weighed a total of around 102kg's. Even though we were able to cut it in half it still gave us a good workout! Looking forward to seeing the finished installation.
Cheers!! Haha yep I thought I'd leave that sound in, and not edit it out... but honestly, it was the sound of 2 units rubbing together haha, but it does sound like that 😅. Oh god, that sounds tough!! But yes we all will continue to make mistakes/errors etc but just have to solve them and move on 😊👍 Cheers ryan 👍
Excellent job quaility, just been in touch with www.amicusuk.co/ mentioned you. They really are a great company sending there products all the way to Blackpool. Keep up the great standards.
Hello mate! Thank you much appreciated!! Yes they are really good, extremely helpful and will give you so much of their time as they know you will like their products. I'm glad you've given them a go, I think you'll enjoy spraying it!! Great how they are posting all the way to Blackpool too! Oh and don't forget the sanding sponges, they were a game changer for me 👍👍
Omg .. when you were putting the top unit up 😳😨 😓 😮💨…. Looks amazeballs 🤩 👏
Thank you!!!
It was very heavy, but with a bit of planning and a plan in place, it all went OK 😬👍
Quality in your workmanship and attention to detail shows through. Fantastic installation, can’t wait to see the finished product.
That's really kind of you to say, thank you very much!!
