My favorite Tiki Room moment was when my family and I were the only four guests in the audience and Jose said, "Look at all the people!" and then Michael said, "And what darlin' people I have sittin' under me," when there was no one sitting under him.
+VCR Time Machine LOL
This attraction is severely underrated, Not only for historical reasons, It’s entertainment purposes too.
And air conditioning!!!!
The singing flowers!!
I like that it's underrated though, because it means there's never any line
It’s pure lovely. Through young eyes that love. 😊
The que isn’t bad either. Grab a Dole Whip and be in the shade as you wait
So great to see they restored this attraction... I remember it from the early 70s the original soundtrack is back.
Mostly - some edits
💜
This song is on a playlist of mine. It makes me smile.
I legit loved this attraction while I was 5-9 yrs old. Goin on 20 now
Omg I thought this attraction had been a fever dream until I looked it up. Now I totally remember when I saw this at Disney world as a kid
At nearly 40 years old, why have I only just discovered this? Seeing it for the first time today brought a tear to my eye and gave me magical goose bumps - for 15 mins I was 5 years old again, I long for the day I get to visit Walt Disney World, but until then, thank you for bringing the magic to London home on a cold autumn day.
Leanne Rivett That is so great to hear and was my intention :)
Your vids are great, hard to find good pov park vids around here, keep up the good work.
I have been to disney a bunch and never knew about this either! I love shows like this.
Absolutely! It’s a wonderful show!
Every time I go to Disneyland the tiki room is on the top of the list!💕 and my parents are like do we have to do this?!
Now it's time for a Dole Whip.
I wish I could like this post 10 times.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
Just be sure that when you are finished, no TRASHY TRASHY. Place your empty containers in the TIKI TRASH CANS, and they will be sent... on a journey... to the magical land... of FILL!
Damn straight! On top of a mini pineapple upside-down cake!
YEESSSSS
I love the tiki room more than any grown man should
That’s how Disney works lol
I mean Walt was the biggest big kid when he was in his own park. So, you're not the only one. Disney brings out the kid in all of us. 😁
No everyone should lol
Same here. Nothing wrong with that!!!!
43 now. Can’t wait to take our daughter to this ride. Gotta get her on my side cuz my wife likes this ride but laughs at me enjoying it so much and singing along
I had been so disappointed when they had done the awful modern version with Iago's squaking... then I returned after a few years and thought I should show my kids the Tiki Room even though it's not what it used to be... and then !!!! The Original Version was back running !! I cried of joy all through it. The Tiki Room is a work of art and should never be changed !
:) Glad to be in California where the original since 1963 ids still therew..the Can Can dance is the only thing edited out..
Oh man I thought i dreamed that. It had Lago the first time I saw it and no other years after that, so that explains it
I really like Iago and Zazu but... agreed. I prefer this version even still.
SO happy to hear! I hope that's still the case. Last time I visited the Tiki Room was in 2000 and yes, Lago was there to ruin the priceless memory I had of Tiki Room, back in '88 when I was 4. Very happy to hear they brought back the original show. One day when I go back, it'll be the first attraction I'll do...5 times in a row! I haven't been since 2000 and I'm only 90 mins from Disney, but I'm boycotting over the insanity they've adopted. 😔
My Budgie ADORES this show. We watch it together and she sings along with the birds and matches the pitches of the songs. Thank you for uploading this!
That's adorable
😊
How did I become such a bird lover ? In my blood. Both grandmas had a canary
Dat place got good air conditioning
Yup
I was dying from heat so my girlfriend brought me into this attraction and it saved me with the AC. Ended up being one of my favorites too
Which is really the main draw anymore. It's not a ride and animatronics aren't breathtaking like they once were. It is a great way to cool off on a hot day though and for that reason, I hope they never close it
And pineapple 🍍 dole whips
Yeah it does!
I love Tiki Room! I hope they keep it forever. Great show while you rest your feet and eat a refreshing Dole Whip!
This was a fab wee hidden gem we found by accident but was my youngest sons fave thing as it gave him a much needed quiet cool place with enough interest but not too much sensory stimulation and avoided a total meltdown
I personally was super excited to see the "Original" Tiki room back. I felt Iago and Zazu were just too much. I was pleased that it was no longer under new management. I was able to share the experience with my three year old daughter, on our most recent trip!! :) Thank you for the wonderful post! Great to get your "Disney fix" this way!! :)
Last time I was there, they had the Iago and Zazu version...I felt they ruined the show with it. I also have the old 33 1/3rd RPM record.
First saw this show in 1983. It never gets less magical for me.
My first was 1988. I was 4, and this is the only 'ride' I remember from back then. That rain and lightning, so magical to me.
I never heard of this till now. I love shows like this especially because they get you out of the heat.
I cannot believe they made a refurbishment to change a Disney attraction back to its roots!! I do hope the Tiki Room gets good attendance year round!
They did? The last time I went like 10 years ago they put Iago in it and ruined the whole thing, and I gave up on it after that.
@@sminthian no this is the one at Disney World and it has remained untouched, you're talking about the one in Disneyland
@@jaclynzinck4241 other way around
@@SupBro2437 no I've gone to Disney World every year almost my entire life and I can confirm that the Enchanted Tiki Room there hasn't changed. Disneyland's on the other hand suffered the awful change (fortunately it was changed back)
@@jaclynzinck4241 No, Walt Disney World was the one that switched to "Tiki Room Under New Management," in 1997 with Iago and Zazu. There was a fire in the attraction in January of 2011. Seven months later it re-opened with the (mostly) original show reinstated. The Disneyland version was never changed. Google it.
I love the Tiki Room It's one of my opening day must-do's! It's also as close as you can get to a 1950's nightclub......the ONLY thing i would change is instead of benches I'd put those little nightclub tables and chairs with a little lamp on each one, Other than that I hope it stays around for a very long time!
yeah! the tables and chairs is a terrific idea. hope the execs are reading this and take note, eh?
Don't call me senorita this time. 😂 that was great.
Travis Bohrer lol
Kudos to the voices of the hosts. Wally Boag (Jose), Fulton Burley (Michael), Ernie Newton (Pierre), and Thurl Ravenscroft (Fritz).
thank you for saying their names. they were a huge part of my childhood.
I'm a huge coaster lover, but The Tiki Room and The Haunted Mansion are two of my favorite attractions.
Just a lot of fun.
There is something insanely charming about Walt Disney’s original attractions and I don’t think they should ever be fully updated. They are capsules of his imagination and his time. That’s why I love the Carousel of Progress
The most glorious things never get old.
I have always loved the tiki room. We see it every trip to Disney World. We don’t care how “dated “ it looks, it is charming and wonderful.
All disney attractions are super cute, but this one I always felt was the cutest. I mean, *birds* are singing. Other than puppies running into the audience, not much is cuter than that.
+TelePhotoLens They are adding puppies and kittens next week lol
Quarantine 2020 anyone?
My choir sang this song in our spring concert along with a few other Disney songs. This one was my favorite by far.
The tiki room is my #1 fave attraction at Disney! I love going everytime
SAME besides Splash mountain.
I feel weird knowing that a lot of people watching this went to this exact place and can relate to everything
As a passholder, I have a lot of attractions at Walt Disney World I love dearly, but none more than the Enchanted Tiki Room. It's a wonderful show, and almost a time machine in and of itself. I love it for what it is, but when you put it in perspective as the next iteration (at the time) of Walt Disney bringing animation into the real world - it really is a masterpiece.
As a long time Disney Passholder. I love the tiki room so much .. such a wonderful place to get some rest after walking around the park for so long . The demonic chirping really mellows me down.
I was in that room when you were recording this video I was watching your camera screen when you where making this. we were sitting behind you. :-)
I adore the music! Especially the tropical plants!
I love this attraction. The vibe is fantastic. I check it out every time I go.
I'm convinced we wouldn't be as advanced in robotics now if it hadn't been for attractions like this. People don't realize just how much we might owe to the people that made things like this in the past and it all just gets taken for granted on a daily basis. I for one wouldn't trade things like this for the WORLD.
This show is great! I love the Tiki Room! José, Pierre, Michael, and Fritz are adorable and funny. I love those birds.
I remember this being so fascinating when I was little, I even remember the tiki song to this day.
Great nostalgia!
I have not seen this since 1974 (!!!) But I loved it. The flowers singing cracked me up.
i love the tiki room ive seen it irl and its magical
Thank you so much - glad you enjoyed it!
We just returned home this past Friday from a week in Disney…. My family and I had our first visit to the Tiki Room and we adored it!! It just brings a smile to your face, just like this video!
The Tiki Room is important to Disney history. It's an older attraction and isn't filled with new characters. Glad it's still there
This cinematography is ballin
Best Bird Show Ever
Thank you for such a great video.....I remember when I was just a kid my parents took us and I was mesmerized by the show....I love it...
Steve Davis Awesome!!!!
smon said that the echated tke room is no longer at Disney World that it Cloused
nope still there.
Me too!
Absolutely love the Tiki Birds. The song is my ring tone
does this song ever get stuck in anyone,s head?
All the time.
It's Sherman Brothers, so of course it's ridiculously catchy.
Yes when it’s the 100th show of the day....
All the time, every day
Since 2013.... I still will randomly start singing it to this day!
Can this video be any clearer? Goodness, this is phenomenal quality. I’m subscribing just because of that!
Those animatronics are always a pleasure
I remember as a kid the tikis on the walls terrified me because I thought they were going to bite me
They dont bite that hard i put my finger and nope not badly
That senorita bit at the beginning was hilarious 😂
I’m glad this is the only attraction you can eat in. I can’t wait to go back and revisit this show, but this time for a 15 minute entertaining lunch break!
IN THE TIKI TIKI TIKI ROOM
IN THE TIKKI TIKKI TIKKI ROOM
@@alex.r.891 all the brids sing words and the flowers croon
In 1973 i remembered when I was 5yrs old and my older sister drove us using my dad's station wagon to Disneyland. I thought I was in kid heaven ❤❤❤
We view the Tiki Room as a 15 minute rest and regroup in air conditioned comfort. We get Dole Whips and head for a corner bench and enjoy the heck out of it!!!
this is a must for me
Terry Ulchier
This is way better than the New Management overlay! I hope the Under new management never comes back!
Agree
It won’t
Good!
I went when I was 5 and I still remember how I wanted a bird 🥺❤️
Air conditioning in here is pure gold
Nice camera work, BFP!
I always drag the gang into the Tiki room, Its fun watching people clap for animated birds.
My daughter and I enjoy watching your video! Thanks!
I remember being TERRIFIED of this!😂
i could see that...those singing totem poles would've scared me as a young kid.
I used to be scared of them too but now that I’m older I don’t mind them
I was freaked out by the Tiki drummers
HelloSunshine I loved it every time we when to Disney land we went here
I'm so glad Iago and Zazu were kicked out--FOR GOOD.
Good thing I never saw that version
I kind of liked it.
Can you all imagine if they made an animated movie of the Enchanted Tiki Room? It would be a little something like Rio, but Disney.
Yes they need to make a movie about the enchated tiki room that would be so great to see
Thanks for doing all these videos. We were supposed to be at WDW this week and then they shut down for the virus. Me and the kids are “going through the parks” on the My Disney Experience app then picking which attractions to go on. Poor mans substitute I know. These videos are helping to fill our day with some Disney since we couldn’t go.
Great that it helps - Thank You
I love this attraction!!
In The End Of The Show They Sing Heigh Ho From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
I love it
I love the tiki room and the dole whip!! 😍🦜
After all these years... I was four years old when I saw the wonder of the Tiki Room for the first time and I have never forgotten the song, "In the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room!"
I don't remember ever being on this but somehow know every word to the song
That's because there's like 5 words. :D
I know it from a Disney Sing Along VHS hahaha
@@alisondavis3623 my parents bought us the Enchanted tiki room vinyl album when we were kids. I knew every word by heart because we listened to it so often. I'm 59 years old and we went to Disneyland quite often growing up. The tiki room was (and still is) definitely one of my favorite attractions in the park.
Lori Kodama lucky
I’m 60 and I grew up in Los Angeles and went to Disney often, and I too still love the Tiki Room to this day. ❤️
Bro I need to go and see this in person I love it to death and heck I even made a tribute to it in one of my animaniacs storylines and of course later on when they come across this version they are just in awe as they had no idea that this was indeed a real thing that existed I just love it to death also because of this get the fever was also a nice surprise to see both this and get the fever are quite interesting
I saw it in the eaRly 70s still wonderful
i love the tiki room
Still Wonderful
This was my fave song to hear Now I watch it again stoned
This video is extremely well made. Growing up in So Cal I visited Disneyland many times, but went to the Tiki Room maybe just once when I was little. Watching this video brought back long lost memories and, interestingly, now that I'm older in my 50s I prefer and miss attractions like the Tiki Room more than a lot of the A attractions and the newer attractions that are higher tech and/or based on hit movies. It's a nice trip down the memory lane that's for sure.
Thanks. That was wonderful. Good memories.
I remember going to this as a kid…
I turned 45 two weeks ago 💜💜💜
My Ver favorite attraction!! Thanks so much for the upload, I can't stop watching!!! Fritz is adorable!!!
Chloella Its my favorite too, I like the part where they did the War Chant, I also like the Under New Management version, If you hate it, I respect your opinion.
I remember this one it’s one of my favs
Thank you for the show
My parakeet loves this! I miss Disney!
This is my jam 😍😍😍
this video has the same effect on me as those baby sensory videos, thank you for the stress relief!
who here hates the "under new management" tiki room
Everyone with a brain
Oh this is wonderful!
I absolutely LOVE this attraction. I first went when I was 4 years old in 1988-89 and the Tiki Room was the only "ride" I remembered. The rain and lightning was so magical. How they made it rain for real, with lightning (I've always been a lightning fanatic. I moved to Tampa Bay when I grew up, lightning capital of U.S.). I went one more time in 2000 when I was 16 and anticipated the Tiki Room for months leading up to the trip. It was the ONE ride I insisted we do. They added Lago from Aladdin, which was annoying, but all I cared about was seeing the rain, lightning, and that distant volcano that glowed red. So cool. Truly sad how badly Disney ruined themselves with all the political correctness insanity. Hopefully they fix things and purge the activists from the company. Give us back the Disney magic!
love this one.
Always a MUST for me LOVE this attraction
Loved this
that is so cool.
That Parrot Sounds Like Thurl Ravencroft
The One & Only and Voice of Tony the Tiger , also the Voice of Paul Bunyan in the Walt Disney Cartoon.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I went for the first time ever to DW last December (from California so I've seen the Dland one countless times) and was surprised they cut out: 1. The birds ask the audience to sing along to "Let's All Sing.." and you hear the pre-recorded audience singing, and 2. the Birds of Paradise (the plants in the corners) solo during the louaou song. I know they want to save time and get the next group in, but sheesh. I was like, "This is the Edited Tiki Room" heh
Tiki Room slaps. Prove me wrong.
The final attraction I went to on my 2nd Disneyworld trip. Amazing way to end the trip.
I can't wait to go to Walt Disney World next month.
I love the enchanted tiki room and this vid!
Sabin Morris Thank you so much
I think they should allow people to at least eat dole whip while watching this at Disney World because they let you do it at Disneyland and it makes it feel like dinner show which was Walt Disney’s original idea for the actraction
Love this!
This was one of the first shows I saw when I went back in 2005.
