    Chicken Fried Steak Recipe:
Season cubed steaks with 1 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Garlic powder, 1/2 tsp Black pepper, and 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
Place 1 cup of flour in a bowl and season flour with 1 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp Garlic powder, 1/2 tsp Black pepper, and 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
In a big bowl, combine 2 eggs with 1/4 cup of buttermilk and stir until well blended
Coat cubed steak in seasoned flour.... then dip the steak into the egg buttermilk mixture... allow access mixture to drip off then dip back into the seasoned flour to double coat
Sit coated steak aside on a plate for 20 minutes to allow the flour to sink into the steak
Meanwhile, place 1 cup of oil in a frying pan and place the pan of oil over medium heat
Once hot add steak and fry for approx 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown on each side
Sit steak on paper towel to drain oil
Drain some oil from the pan... leave 6 tbs of in the pan
    Heat on low
To the pan add 1- 1/2 tbs of flour and stir until flour dissolves
Add 1-1/2 cup of carnation milk and about 1/4 cup of beef stock and stir until well blended and smooth

MR. Philly Boy, you out did yourself with this one! What I like the most, you are always true to your self, don't change. You are a good cook, your food is always on point,I know, because I am a mom, grandmom, and a very good cook! You proved to skeptics, that you DON'T NEED fancy utensils in the kitchen to cook with, you cut your steak with a 'butter knife ',that's how tender your country steak was. Be blessed, stay encouraged, and always keep your head up!

I had a friend who used to invite me to his house for dinner and I asked him if his mother's cooking was good. He used to say that she put her "undergarments" in it.
Doubt that was true but boy could she cook.

Hey, Philly Boy! Where are you? We miss you so much. Hope you get back to us soon. Much love, your friend from Corsica, little island in between France and Italy. We have a similar dish called escalope milanese. But it lacks a gravy or sauce. I need a sauce. Sometimes in restaurants I order an extra sauce. COME BACK PHILLY BOY WE NEED YOU!

So, I made this for dinner today. It was so flavorful and delicious! My first time making CFS. I’m so grateful for this channel. I grew up eating food like this. Unfortunately my Mother passed before I could learn most of her recipes. Thanks for making my kitchen smell like my Mother’s!!
Side note: I seasoned my steak with a little Adobo instead of salt. However, I did season the flour with salt like you did in the instructions. I also used a lot of onion powder in my gravy. Lol I paired this recipe with mixed greens and rice. And of course I put some of that good ole gravy over my rice. Yummy 😋 Thanks again PBJ! I told you before, I’m going through all of your recipes!!! ❤️❤️❤️

And I don't know why but I always thought making chicken fried steak was much more complicated. Your video is going to be sooooooooooo helpful when I attempt (hopefully successfully) to make it myself. Your instructions are very clear and organized and I can't want to try and make it! Also a big thanks for being specific about what kind of steak to buy. Thumbs up to you! : )

There really isn't a whole lot I can cook because I wasn't never really taught. It's nice to be shown how to make different things on here and you make it look easy and I will definately be making this. I can cook good of what I do know how to make tho. I'm going to subscribe.

Looked so gooood! I never thought of using canned milk or the beef broth. One thing that killed me though was when you drained the meat you put one piece on top of the majority of the bottom one, thus the oil was draining into the bottom steak, yuk. I've also used tenderized round steak (the way my mom made it, when I was growing up it was a very inexpensive cut of meat), it's very tasty using that too. Keep cooking up a storm!

I love watching your vids. I noticed something strange about you measuring out your salt... Did you know you can pull that metal spout all the way up & turn the canister & tilt it so that the metal part is like a spout? That way, you have more control over the amount that comes out & you can actually get it onto a spoon on the off chance you're measuring. ;-)

Jay, can I use a meat pounder, to make my own cube steak? I love that you mixed buttermilk, and can milk, best of both worlds. You know, I love beef, but there's nothing like a thick juicy southern fried, chicken breast, I know you can do that too. My son tries to eat clean all week, ( boring) But, I know he would love this dish on his off days, and this is what I'm gonna make for him, your recipe Jay, Thanks.
