Hi Phillyboy!!! Let me say that you are THE BEST....I say DA BEST virtual cooking teacher that I have ever had. My mom passed away this year and I had to take care of my elderly, blind father. My mom was a great cook, but I could never cook like her or find any recipes close to how she cooked.
I've been following your recipe and I've gotten nothing but compliments from my family, neighbors and friends. I recently tried your recipe for the fried smothered pork chops and let me say, I got the highest praise from my dad. He said the seasoning was perfect and you should have seen him sucking the bones! lol.
I want to thank you for sharing all your secrets with the world...and closeted..emerging cooks like me. You gave me the confidence to do my thang! Your lessons are fun, engaging and oh my goodness, so very easy to follow!
One problem though...your peach cobbler recipe was a hit with my family and it's the number one requested desert when then come up from the south!!! Once again, I thank you for your show. Keep doing what you're doing!

Thank You fam. Now I'm about to cook these for my gf in about a week or two and get some brownie points lol.

Never been a cook. You don't want to know. But I am taking cooking lessons from PBJ and I am actually cooking. Couldn't believe that I actually fried something and I wanted to eat it !!! Thank you, PB. I made my entire Giving Day dinner from his recipes and we are still fighting over the leftovers. This gentleman has technique.

    PhillyBoyJay,
Man, I REALLY enjoyed your presentation. I am just leaning to cook and wanted a consistent, reliable way to cook pork chops. I happened upon your UA-cam video and have been blessed by your clear instructions and well structured video. After closely following your instructions I produced some smothered pork chops that my family RAVES about! I have nothing to say but good things and praise for you. My wife commented that she now finally knows why her flour kept falling off chops that she has made in the past :-).
I so loved the results of what I cooked that I took the time to read the comments of others in response to your video. The folks who had negative comments about this EXCELLENT VIDEO are just straight up haters! There is absolutely nothing wrong with your pronunciation, choice of spices or cooking implements, etc. I believe you executed EVERYTHING perfectly! You blessed us ALL with sharing your KNOWLEDGE about how to produce an excellent outcome with our attempts at this dish. I personally will use your recipe and instructions FROM NOW ON! I totally support your efforts and am a fan of your cooking. Thank you immensely! Please, don't stop posting videos because of a few absolute knuckleheads. YOU'RE THE MAN!

+pacluv Nothing is wrong with the seasonings, you just have to look for salt-free options. Onion and garlic powder are not salty, unless you're using onion or garlic salt. You can also get salt free versions of Adobo seasoning too.

My mom always put the onions in with the pork chops. Lots of flour so that a gravy could be made by adding milk or water near the end. They were truly delicious. So, In the spirit it was intended.. get your own ideas and MAKE THEM HAPPEN with your food.
