    Great format video. Enjoyed it.
    I’m still around even though I’ve gotten rid of the RS. May have to pop in for a Dyno run if I can figure out how to do it without the ABS going nuts 😅

    Totally agree with you john3917 - however looking to get one of these MK3 RS's beauties in the next month or so, but slightly being put off with the various report's of the engine being sent back to ford ( under warranty ) with main issue of head gasket replacement, engine rattle noises, drive mode selection issue.. list goes on.
    Should i be looking at fully forged engine for reliability and to cover all aspects of the stage 2 map afterwards? and another great vid Ben.

      Mine is 5 years old in November, it has been faultless since new. I had the recall carried out even though nothing was wrong with the car and 3 years later its still all good. Fantastic cars and still unique even with manufacturers finally starting to copy the technology as it has a manual 'box.

      ive had my RS Edition since 2019, not a single thing wrong with it and i drive it hard out here on the Spanish roads. If you want the standard one just make sure its got the right gasket on, my advice, save up an extra few quid and get the RS Edition with all the kit on it as standared plus the LSD in the front. Search on youtube for Fezza and a video he did testing an edition against the normal one which he had. thats my car.

    I am considering a REVO 1 or 2 for my Mk3 RS. Tricky question but objectively what should I expect in terms of reliability on long term and also what kind of maintenance would it require (oil changes every 5000 miles for example?). I understand and accept that extra mechanical stress on components decreases the life of the engine but would I need some major fixes let us say in 100 000 miles or what is the ballpark? I was seeing cracked engine blocks (cylinder 2 if i am correct), clutches slipping and I am not sure at what level of tuning it would start to go bad very quick? Thanks in advance.

      Good questions, interesting to see @BD Performance reply to this

    • @BDPerformanceWrexham
      @BDPerformanceWrexham  3 роки тому +1

      This is an almost impossible question to answer. There is always a danger associated with anything, however there're cases of failure regardless of tuning. The biggest thing is to be aware - when done correctly there should be no greater risk in all honesty. Its a tough call, we understand that, especially as our own RS failed. Great question in fairness.

    Just out of interest, where are the exhaust fumes going ?
    Also why isn't the blue fan on the dyno aiming at the intercooler??

    • @BDPerformanceWrexham
      @BDPerformanceWrexham  3 роки тому +1

      There’s a 500mm centrifugal fan underneath the little blue carpet blower. That’s the one that supplied the intercooler; the other points at the bay 🙌

    360HP being a 90HP gain? I thought that from factory it's 345HP anyway so how does that work?

    • @johnjackson2349
      @johnjackson2349 Рік тому

      Measured in wheel horsepower where the manufacturer quote power at the crank. Also worth mentioning alot of RS don't make the quoted hp figure anyway, most are around 330 ish stock
