Is the stock fly wheel dual mass. And also I just ordered a stage 1 clutch kit which it said it works with oem flywheel but they guys doing it told me that it’s dual mass and according to the clutch kit I need a single mass
Any issues ditching the dual mass OE flywheel for the solid billet aftermarket type? Spec does offer a ratcheting type of aluminum flywheel as well. Looking to see if there are any long term effects (synchro issues, bearing failures, etc.). Your feedback after racking up some miles would be greatly appreciated.
Haven't driven the car enough to give long term feedback. It did develop a sound in the transmission after auto cross on the new set up which Ford covered with a warranty, but I couldn't tell you what the issue is since it's still in the shop. Stay tuned.
@@hanksrs8506 np, fyi I ordered the mountune synchro kit. I spent some time on the forms today and the consensus for RS seems to be to change synchros with clutch...
Insane amount of work. Great install. Not looking forward to it!

Great watch, what shop is this in case I ever need this done on my RS, wonderful attention to detail!
Thank you for the kind words! Not a shop, just a couple friends in a garage trying to save money.

Im using SPEC clutch & Flywheel... just lost my 4th gear syncro 2 days ago...
I should add the synchro failure comes 1 year after clutch install (only driven it city since install, maybe 12miles/day max)

How do you remove the transfer case top bolt?
Which one? There is one that will not fully come out but that is supposed to stay in, the case will come out as long as that bolt is loose.
It's possible to complete the job without removing the exhaust
Nice job, guys!
I've a similar breakdown.. Where can I find you guys?
Just here on the tube!
