Great range of colours. I already have the Aquarius Green and love it. Think I need to try the Perylene Green and the potters pink. The Misty Morning and Mummy Transparent Red are very tempting too. Hope your transfusion goes well.
Hi Lily! I also love Roman Szmal watercolours, and you got some of my favourites in this bunch (Goethite, Mummy Red, Aquarius Green and the new Strontium Violet). I think your bottom row formed a very nice earthy colour palette. Other colours I’d suggest if you haven’t tried them already are Aquarius Brown (very granulating) and Cyprus Burnt Umber Deep, which is a lovely cool brown that deepens other colours very well.
@@lilymoonartI was so excited to finally bite the bullet and spend on some RS pants after your videos and seeing the sale that was on at Jackson's. I bought a full set of 24 and some individual pans and I'm so disappointed in these paints (no fault at all of yours of course). The Mineral Violet that I was really looking forward to looks more like a diox violet! The Misty morning doesn't look anything like your swatch, mine is very grey no bluish tone at all. My pryzybysz is not purple at all. My Aquarius green is not granulating at all - huge sadness because I was hoping it would love up to the beauty of DS undersea green; the only one slightly playing for me is the shadow violet. What am I doing wrong or could they be compromised by travel across the pond? What do you use for paper? I'm swatching on arches 300/140lb 100%cotton cold press.
Your swatches are beautiful. I have loved the Aquarius green for a few years and will always have it in my palette. I would like to try October and the quinacridone warm scarlet. I hope your feeling better soon.
I Adore aquarius green 🥰 and if you ever get the chance you may like peryleen green deep, I think they use a pigment that no one else use and it's a bit warmer version of the regular peryleen green, like a dark mossy green 🥰
I hope everything is going well with your health. Sending Reiki energies to you and your medical teams. Please always prioritize peace within and your good health. Much love to you. 🤲🤍💚🤍🤲
Your swatches are beautifully done and the way you talk about the paints is so nice. I can really tell how enamored you are with these watercolors. Roman Szmal should pay you for advertising them. :) I'd like to try this brand, but really, I've got enough watercolors as is. I think I have most of the pigments in these and I should play around with mixing instead of purchasing more mixes. Or is there a color that you truly feel is so unique that one should have it?
I agree with you, mixing colors is as exciting as purchasing new ones - if not more exciting! 😊 One color I really like from the selection, is the Potter's Pink, as this is my second purchase and I am so happy with it. But colors are soooo unique to the individual, and my personal choice may differ from some other artist's. I'd say choose to buy a color that makes your heart sing 🥰❤️
Lovely paints. Such a fan of RS. I am impressed with the Green Earth. Have you tried their Transparent Red Oxide? Such a beautiful hue - in mass tone and diluted - with amazing granulation.
I really like the Strontium Purple! By the way, I ordered a palette from Deep Deep Light today based on your lovely swatching video. Looking forward to when The Whispered Season palettes are available!
That is a wonderful suggestion, I'll have to try making a grey with it! 😊And you make an excellent point, it is difficult to find a single pigment violet!!
I only know PB 62 as Victorian blue. Used for inkts.... beautiful colour in these form. What did it say about lightfastment? (The inkt is not that lightfast). I will buy the Potters pink! Have you tried the autumn green? I loved that one
The name Victorian blue conjures up in my mind a moody muted blue☺️ RS potter's pink is lovely and so granulating too! I shall add autumn green to my wish list, thank you so much for the recommendation ❤️
The mummy red can be really watered down to where it looks almost pink, rather than orange. It makes a wonderful mixing color, esp. useful for skin tones. I was kind of disappointed in the green earth myself, I found it hard to get any color from it.
You’re missing the true beauty of RS colors. You should really swatch your colors in a gradient so you can see the color separations - they are exquisite!❤. Try doing it with Aquarius Green and Misty Morning. Enjoy and happy painting 😊
Ohhhh yes!! Please do!!! The more water used, the better the color separation and there are a lot of RS colors that do this 😁👍 Again - enjoy, and I didn’t mean to tell you how to do your swatches, I just didn’t want you to miss what is truly special about Roman Szmal watercolors 💖
Bought some half pans and the paint was melted and stuck to the plastic from the wrapping, thankfully the full pans came with wax paper. But they are beautiful and really accessible.
Some of the half pans do seem to stick to the plastic unfortunately I do hope they resolve the issue in the future. Like you I haven't had any problems with the half pans :)
Misty morning is one I use a lot and love. Play with it using more water.
Thank you for the tip Nancy! I am loving using it! 🥰
Praying that your health will improve. Take good care of yourself 🥰😍😘😇
❤️ Thank you so much Diana! ❤️
I really relly love the layout you use for swatching colors!!
Thank you so much! 🥰
misty morning is my favourite!! And if you drop water in it there are bits of pink and light blue that separate out, so pretty
I've noticed the pink bits on the palette! So pretty!! 🥰🥰
Beautiful colors! Wishing you better health days. Hugs.
Thank you EvMel!❤️❤️❤️
As always, a lovely, relaxing, gorgeous swatching session. Thank you so much.
Thank you, as always for your kindness and your encouraging words! ❤
A wonderful choice! I love this olive green deep! Thanks for swatching!
I hope you’ll feel better soon 🦋
Thank you Anke ❤️
So happy to see you again.
So happy to have you here Barbara! ❤

Mineral Violet, Misty Morning and Ocean Blue are my Roman Szmal favourites. 😇🩵🙏🙌
Thank you! I'll add Ocean Blue and Mineral Violet to my wish list!!❤️

Thank you Silkspinner! ❤
The violet is such a clear, violet. It would be beautiful for mixing.
I am so excited to try mixing with it Amanda, it looks so promising!☺️
these are stunning, i love them ❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
what a beautiful layout and swatch . thank you for sharing .

So nice, I love RS ❤
Lovely swatch! My favourite colour is October and Potters pink!
Lovely choices! ❤️

Deborah thank you! I've just seen that The Whispered Season is available for purchase now! ❤️(15% off with the use of the code: mooncolors ) 🥰🥳
Lily, please take care. We will always be here when you are able. ❤
Thank you Patti!💖 I shall try and take things slower for the following weeks, and film whenever I am able to.❤️ ❤️❤️
The strontium violet will make a beautiful grey when mixed with yellow - it's hard to find a really blue-hued violet as a single pigment.
That is a wonderful suggestion, I'll have to try making a grey with it! 😊And you make an excellent point, it is difficult to find a single pigment violet!!
