I am a left handed person and artist too! And I would agree that we tend to see things a little differently and do things differently. Thank you Harriet, for teaching us how to learn and improve our skills to watercolor painting.
Such an interesting and inspiring Vlog Harriet!💚 Thank you for taking us to Rosie's studio🌟 for bringing art experiences closer to us when it's not always easy to have access to them. And watching you creating that sketch in such an intuitive and relaxed manner, surrounded by nature and very importantly! not worrying about the results but just letting go, experimenting and enjoying painting is so hugely motivating!✨💚✨ Thank you for your very encouraging reminder 🥰
I so love when you go out to a special place and film where you are and then produce / paint something very pretty - very inspiring and encouraging. 🏵💮🌸🍂 Thanks ever much.
Thank you for taking us on this trip to Rosie’s studio and inspiring us to get out and paint even just simple plants that are at the end of their summer lives
Thanks Harriet, that was soooo much fun! Your comments about feeling “heavy” etc and then to start creating something on the spur of the moment , so to speak , can turn everything around. I did just that …… while watching this video😊 so thank you for taking us along and sharing your fun and inspiring us. 😊
Ooohh.. I am so moved by your loving energy and how you present your friend artist in the most beautiful and - again - loving way! This video inspired me so much as an artist! Thank you ❤
I find that your lefthanded-ness makes it much easier to see your work as you do it. My daughter and I have noticed for years, that actors and other talented people on TV are lefthanded.
Hi Harriet! I love the painting you did. Well done you for trying something new. You have inspired me to try a different style. I loved the chat as you took us on your journey.🌸🪻🪻🪷 thank you.
Beautiful inspirational video Harriet, thank you SO much for sharing this… you’re so talented, hugs❤❤ also the accompanying music is wonderful and seems to have become a lot more complimentary to your creative videos recently, hugely well done Editor person 😊😉
Wow thank-you so very much Harriet..very inspiring 👏 🙌 ❤️ 😀 i loved everything ❤️ it was nice she had a teapot in the window brushes and a cup..its really kool to see what might inspire here lol maybe i should put my waterpot..and brushes..in the window..
Thank you for introducing us to Rosie's work. And for continue to inspire me/us to be creative. Love your work and your way of teaching us. Healthy and Happy Fall from Southern California.
It was wonderful to see Rosie’s art, it is so different to your style and of course she uses different mediums to your usual watercolour. She’s very talented, although it’s easier to paint large in acrylic than watercolour. My biggest paintings are 2 x A3 watercolour paintings, a pair of paintings of blue flowers in ming vases. They were a commission for a newly decorated bedroom. My client was very pleased with them. It was nerve racking painting such large pieces for a commission! I loved your painting too. X
Thanks for sharing Harriet I am a number 1 fan of your art though. I am also left handed and although I like larger works too I totally love smaller pieces alot you're the best please do stick with your beautiful style of artwork because it stands out for me ❤❤😊
Thank you Harriet, I enjoyed seeing Rosie’s studio. Like you, she is so lovely. Interesting to see the water brushes and how to use them. I haven’t seen them before. I always look forward to your videos. It’s now spring here in NZ so lots of inspiration for painting, I only wish I had more time to paint.
Where I live in the US, I'm between 4 different states. That said, there are a lot of Artisan studio tours in my area. I can travel half an hour and be in different areas to see anything from stained glass, metal working, and fine art. I feel very fortunate. Thank you for posting such a nice video
I’m a leftie, but nearly totally ambidextrous. I can print write with my right hand but not yet do cursive writing. I do hold my tools differently for artwork than I do for writing. And I tend to start differently than a right handed artist.
Hi!!! I commented under someone else's... love your art today!!! Can you share a bit about your Moleskine journal??? Can't find on Amazon US... With love from a California Gramma ❤️ Appreciate going behind the scenes at your friend's studio today!!! Love what you bought!!! 🎉😊
I am also left handed. I agree, we do tend to think and do things differently. I did learn to bowl, and play baseball right handed, (when I was a kid) but that's it. I am now 80 yo, and loving watercolor. I tried acrylic, but not liking it! I love how you painting flows!
Hello Harriet! Thank you for the field trip to Rosie’s studio. It was fabulous! I was wondering what were you using to hold your water brushes to your sketchbook? Thanks!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. We have a caravan in Dumfries in Scotland. Next to us is Kirkcudbright where many artists have their studios and there are some festivals celebrating their work. Have you been there? Xx
Thank you for the lovely vlog. Your solution for being able to paint on the road really appeals to me. Thank you for the link to the paint in a case. Could you perhaps also share with us where we can buy the clip/holder for the water pens? Love Lola
I love your work. and the advent calendar would be wonderful i have tried to buy it but dont have an etsy account or paypal i wanted two as 1 for a gift to my bff, so wondering if there is any other way to buy as i live in Malaysia?
If only the music was not there. Drowns out your voice and is just irritating. What's wrong with just silence and peaceful watching. Maybe I'm the only one who has to force myself to keep watching, even though I really want to watch. The intrusive music does something to my concentration...however, your video was very lovely and your painting is lovely.
I hope you enjoyed this step into Rosie’s studio, find her work here www.rosieharbottle.com/
Thank you for such a pleasant time watching you paint and telling us about you and your friend.
Thank you for sharing all your adventures with us. I hope you know you are wonderful too! Your fun encouragement is well received 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
Thank you so much!

Yes Harriet please tell us about Moleskin sketchbooks and also what paints you are using - thank you
BTW, I also meant to mention that I love Rosie’s painting & creativity.
I’m a left handed artist also! I understand what you said.

Im a lefty also..yes often..i do that also..
What sketchbook do you use for watercolour? What travel paints are these?
I might just be missing them in the description but can’t find them - thanks
I've updated the description
I love your work. and the advent calendar would be wonderful i have tried to buy it but dont have an etsy account or paypal i wanted two as 1 for a gift to my bff, so wondering if there is any other way to buy as i live in Malaysia?
You can buy it on my website and you don’t need PayPal to do it
I’m no pro, but I’ve found that by using a paper towel to blot my brush, I’m able to keep my brush clean.
Great tip!
What was the paint panic you use, please Harriet?
Paint panic?
@@deWintonPaperCo lol, it was meant to say paint palette but I dictate it and it thinks I speak a foreign language. Sorry about that.
