"Throw your head over your shoulder" .... That is very likely the most important action that almost everyone fails to leave out!! The little skanks, all this time lol... Anyway, your advice is much appreciated!
I've been riding for a lot of years and can count on one hand the amount of spins I've done, no matter what and how hard I try I just can't seem to do it and get bogged down half way through it. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!
Rex Himself I've only just started to get the hang of them myself. I was throwing my weight too far forward on the board and the nose would bog down when i got to 180 degrees. Seems the trick is to find that sweet spot to pivot on and remember to keep turning your head until you come all the way around
Hi Rex, I too have had the same experience. I may have done about 2 in the hundreds of attempts. I pull my body weight up to the upper part of the board but I can only get to a 180 degree motion. Have you had any success since your last post ?
Hello! I have been doing 360s with dropping my hand in for a while and now I got my first professional board. I just can't seem to get them right. Not the ones with my hand and not even close to the ones without... My rail (the one that is closer to the top) seems to always get stuck. Can someone help? Thank you
I can’t get past 180 degrees can someone help me? I can’t get enough spin even with putting my legs up and centering myself along with throwing my head of my shoulder? Is there something I’m missing?
Hi Jim, yes you need to move your weight over your inside rail. So shift your body, and weight over the rail that's nearest to the wave face, doing this while looking over your shoulder will detach the board from the wave and start the spin.

Great vid! It improved me a lot!!!
Have you tried doing this while bodysurfing? I'm pretty sure I did it. I think it's doable.
💪
I know a bloke here in Australia that can do bodysurf 360s. He's not a skinny guy either haha!
Pulled my first unaided due to this vid.
Brilliant! So stoked to read that. Rob

@@bodyboard_holidays thank you man
In step 2 you wrote to put your weight on the inside rail? What do you? On my edge side of the board?

at 0:31 he digs his rail in a bit. Is this a good tool for beginners to use or is this more advanced?
Hey thanks for pointing that out. I think it helps because it spins you around even more with water pushing back so I’m gonna try it,
@@Scepter2662how was it? im gonna try that too
@@TZ808beats helped me spin it fully
@@TZ808beats helped me spin! But I switched fins so I gotta learn it again

I weigh 39 kg and I can just move the board in 180 but I can't get past that. Do I have to weigh more to do it?

Lets go 💨🌊🏄 world!
hello i find you super cool i love merai well apande with you very very super cool
I honestly feel like el rollo is way easier than the forward spin.
I definitely agree, rolls are more straight forward to learn. The spin is more difficult than it is perceived to be.
@@infonac392 I feel like I should be pushing on a corner or pulling on the rail in addition to putting head over shoulder.😂
@@oldschoolwaverider For spins? Or rolls?
@@BodyboardSchool For spins.
Saludos a mike buggy land
Regards to you as well Omar. I hope this has helped you to spin : )
