I want one of those Custom X 'beast' boards he's holding in the video but i live in south western Australia (near Yallingup and Margaret River if u have heard of those surf towns) and can't find any of them in Australia at all so going with the The Tank funkshen board i reckon. I've been skateboarding ever since i quit bb at 16yo after a shark incident freaked me out but now skating has taken its toll on my body so i bought a surfboard and now will get a bb too. If there's anything advice u have i'd like to hear it, thanks

I'm short around 5.5 maybe. Hover around 68-70kgs. I've actually gone up to a 41" as my 40" seems a little small. I used to ride a 40 about 5 or so years ago. (I'm now 32)It feels ok but for some reason it feels a little cramped. I'm yet to try the 41. It does feel bigger holding it against me but I don't think it's too big. Keen to try it. The belly button rule is old school and I've never went by it. My 40 is a little above and my 41 definitely above. So forget that rule lol.

Never buy the ones that look like they made out of stirephome cause it will snap after a couple waves. The good ones are the ones where there's plastic underneath.
If you spend under £40 you can expect the board to bend a lot or even snap. This is dangerous and ofcourse bad for the environment. Pay a little more and they will last for a long time!

Hi Carlos, where are you based?
love it! TY jay reale
This is great advice! Do you have a video in fins? I have a rigid set and fund them far too inflexible and end up with cramp (not good).
Sure! Check this one here: ua-cam.com/video/NkhV0sq0Z8w/v-deo.html
Is the hydro zapped bodyboard good
Can you share a link please and I'll take a look.

He knows his stuff amigo! : )
I'm 5'5" and 119 lbs (53 kgs) 64-year-old woman and have been using a 41" board. I'm looking for a higher quality board for cold Nor-Cal water and considering the Mike Stewart Science Launch Tech CR Bodyboard.
A good rule is to get on ur knees and if it's over the height of your chin it's too big.
mwboost Hi mate I’m 5”4 82kgs, I just bought a 40” online do you think it will be okey for my weight? I’m 10kgs over recommended weight size by the size chart.
I’m 5’6 and have a 43’ board that works great ,
Hi Guys love the vids im from SA ..need some advice what size board would you recommend im 1,77m in length and weigh about 90kgs your guy's help would be much appreciated
Hey Luke, thanks for the comment. I would recommend visiting Ebodyboarding and using their widget the 'Booger Picker' this will ask you for your info and then line you up with the correct size board. Here is the link. Any further questions please don't hesitate to ask! www.ebodyboarding.com/pages/booger-picker
Where is there store?
It’s difficult to try all the brands if you don’t have to much money
Too*
That's why it's really important to shop from and talk to somebody who knows what they're talking about and can set you up with a board that's right for you. That way, you won't waste your money on something that's not what you need.
I'm 5'10 / 250 lbs. 32 years old and I never even heard abt body boards smh but im very curious and want to get one. Can anyone recommend me a board based on my measurements please?
You are a bit on the heavier side, so I suggest looking into Triad boards. However, you NEED fins. I’m much older than you 😂, 6’1”, 250. I use 44” boards and Viper fins.
@@greenbanana2332 thank u for the help!!
I ride a 38” board
Edit: im also 4’6 and I am 12
Literally I’m 4’6 12 and ride a 38’’
That’s weird
I’m 6’0 and 12 😳
I'm 5"1 and Im 13 I rode a 42" board 😆 I prefer larger boards
I used to ride a 41 now I just bought a 45 I was 130 when I rode as a teen and im 33 now and I only weigh 145. I like buoyancy lol
Oh and I am a prone/drop knee rider on long island ny
i’m long island too, i’m 5”11 135 what board would your recommend? experienced body boarder and take fairly big waves in. all i care about is speed and control as i do not turn as much
@@lihclore I like long narrow boards with a decent amount of buoyancy for drop knee I usually go to Smith point on the weekends... I'm there now at 845 august 11
Quijybo Janklebits yeah i prefer montauk but i’m around bayshore so i usually go to robert moses to catch waves or FI to hang out
Quijybo Janklebits i use the magicseaweed app to check the waves
at 4:11 what is that board. Need it
Pretty sure its a Custom X Beast. Have a word with Jay at eBodyboarding and may be able to help you find one.
Chillingg🌊
Are lighter boards faster
Depends on the waves.
Yeah it depends, I prefer a larger board
If your a big guy 200+ pounds I recommend the triad beeg Koa #triadmovement
Mistake #6: Using the boogie board your children abandoned when they grew up!
I’m buying my board from him lol I had a morey board
Awesome, I hope that it is gives you loads of fun!
@@BodyboardSchool hi was just wondering what’s a good size for my 12 year old son he’s 5’0 and weighs 110 pounds I was thinking a 39 or 40 inch would be a good size
@@scangangatrooperbot8926 Hi! That sounds like a good length to me. Where are you based in the world. I can recommend a retailer for you to chat too if you like? Thanks Rob
@@BodyboardSchool thanks i went with a 40 inch because he’s still growing 😁
@@BodyboardSchool also I went with a 50 dollar board made of eps core with a leash since we don’t go to the beach often and he’s barely begging I’ll most likely get him a better one in the future
Im 230lbs i just got me a 48" 🤙🤙
Yeah i'm a 100kg (which i just looked up is 220lbs) so i'm looking at getting a 45" Funkshen 'The Tank' which is designed for us bigger (and me older) coz i haven't ridden since the late 80's when i was 16 and had a Morey Mach 7-7 which i hear are collectors items now ? Anyway hope it all worked out for you.
@@JasonSmith-qt2xk to big board 43 wide also
Too long!
I live in Mazatlán, Mexico. The water is warm year around (70-77F). I'm 6'2, 170lbs. I'm not into doing tricks, just riding prone, and the waves aren't that large where I go. What bodyboard do you recommend for me? Do you ship to Mexico?
Thanks for the comment Mike! Jay and the guys at ebodyboarding do ship to Mexico and will definitely be able to help you out. You are a similar build to me, I would recommend a 42.5" , single stringer board with a PP core. For only prone you may want to consider a bat tail. Here are the international shipping rates from Ebodyboarding (www.ebodyboarding.com/pages/shipping-rates). Here is a useful section of the website called the 'Booger picker' which you can input your info and then boards are selected for you (www.ebodyboarding.com/pages/booger-picker). I look forward to hearing from you. Just shout if you need any more help of you can contact the shop directionly through their website. www.ebodyboarding.com Thanks Rob
@@BodyboardSchool ye. I bought mine for 20 but it was just a good offer cause the one u bought are the proper old ones
hey bro...grew up in Hawaii, now Im a 300lb wrestler who live in Wilmington NC ...whats the biggest bodyboard made??
Maybe WAVE REBEL DESTROYER 48
I’m 12 and I’m 5’7

Should redo this video and add visual examples. Hard to follow along.
Thanks for your feedback. 👌🏼
This video is incredibly unhelpful.
The majority of what he's suggesting is based around YOU going to HIS shop.
He treated this like a promotional video for his shop with very little information for people who are nowhere near his business or ever will be.
Thank you for your input Paranoid Pixel. ✌
