Tony Iommi and the Zeppelin boys were the best of friends from a long time ago. In every interview with the media, Iommi always insists that without Zeppelin, there would not be rock music today. He heaps praise on Page and Bonham as the best in the business. He adds that as individuals, all four of the Zeppelin boys are individual geniuses. He added that Zeppelin has influenced the music of Sabbath. You can watch his comments during Zeppelin's induction into the British Music Industry Hall of Fame. Many famous musicians also sang their praises about Zeppelin.

He did and rightfully so. But without Iommi, there would be no extreme forms of metal. He was the first to make power chords and feedback
      A
      Personal
      Obsession. Sabbath were
The undisputed fathers of what later was heavy metal. Iommi Should be in the hall of fame himself only for creating a new genre. He created a freakin genre. No matter what others say about it or think about heavy metal it’s no small feat to create a genre on your own.

Even though I'm from a generation later, born in 80, I never had much use for the music of my day when I was younger. I preferred 60s and 70s rock and Zeppelin and Sabbath were and still are my all time favorites. Even when I grew up and that music had already been around for awhile there was no way to find out information about the recording process of albums, the personal lives and friends of various band members etc. or anything like you can today with the internet. In a way it made things more interesting, kind of like the mystery of it. If you did hear something about them it was probably bullshit lol. Now you can hear all kinds of stuff from the musicians themselves. Many times when I hear the stories about why or how they did something it would be totally different from what I would have thought. Like wondering for years about an album cover and then finding out they did it as a joke or something 😅

This is for those who love the 80s.

Kiss ripped off alot of material from Slade in this era.
      3) Slade - *Greatest hits.*
Wet your whistle with these fun party bangers.
And check out these notable songs that are crowd pleasers:
      -Cum on feel the noize
      -You'll never walk alone

I have interest in both of these bands for their music. But the Boomer arguments and gossip over them are annoying and make me like them less. It’s 50 years ago. Get over it.
Obviously, Zeppelin was more successful. They had a much greater variety of styles, and they were better musicians. They also clearly played a role in inspiring metal, before Sabbath existed, if that matters to somebody. The same goes for Jimi Hendrix and Cream, and others. What you like better is up to you. The time when listening to a particular band or style of music and hating fans of others was a thing is over. Nobody cares, everybody listens to everything now. It’s not sports. Your personal identity is not defined by who your favorite bands is.
Going around 50 years later yelling “my band is better than yours!” and being actually mad about it just makes you look weird.

Many thanks, much appreciated! It's a story about Led Zeppelin's connection with Black Sabbath. And I had to choose a focal point to write the title and I decided to pick up this one because it's the most intriguing part of the story. I mean Led Zeppelin came to hang out with Sabbath to sign them to their label 'Swang Song' but Ozzy told them to 'Get Lost' and Tony said that they ruined their session.

What makes you think so? I believe it's Bonham. It's the same face in the next photo. Here is a funny story: in 1973 the members of Led Zeppelin gave drummer John Bonham a Harley Davidson for his 25th birthday, which he promptly rode up and down the hallways of his hotel, causing thousands of dollars in damage. The next day, he wrote a check for the damages and said "Oh, and keep the bike."

Hell. Deep Purple are better than Zeppelin too. The so called unholy trinity of early
Hard rock. And Zeppelin are 3rd
Place. They ripped off the first 4 albums
And the albums afterwards were spiraling downhill in quality. Especially Presense and In Through the Outdoor. Maybe 2-3 good tracks only both. Sabbath had 3 duff tracks
Total In the seventies. FX Breakout and She’s Gone. The Dio years were flawless. Born Again has one shitty track. That’s 4 tracks from 1970-1983. The discography in that time frame is solid gold. Sabbath hands down are better.

It’s actually funny that you think that the Cars are serious music. Ask any 21 year old who The Cars are. None of them ever heard of them. I can guarantee you that all of them know who Black Sabbath is and know who Tony Iommi is. Young or Older, everyone knows Sabbath. What is actually Very Funny is that you think Black Sabbath is over rated. 55 years ( 1969 ) says that a lot of people like and listen to Black Sabbath. The Cars lasted a couple of years and unless you listen to bubble gum music, no one knows them. Without the Scorpions, no one on this earth would know who the hell Michael Schenker is, or was. Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin are Giants. I still say that you are talking about nobody’s.
