    This is something I should have thought about! Excellent & thank you. This will make changing our grasshopper mower easy, but sharpening the blades will still be a pain. I use plastic ramps and a floor jack..any recommendations would be 👍🏼

      Thanks No Brakes. Sorry, I don't. It's a pain for me also. It's easier on my old Snapper because it will stand on it's end.

    I've used my shop-vac with great success bleeding brakes through a dry system to the rear of vehicles during rebuilds.....I have bought a PL6000 evac system, but the shop-vac is sooo much faster....You must be quick, or there is a possibility of overworking the motor and ruining the shop-vac......I've also used a small tube on a shop-vac to clear the drain holes (4) in sunroofs as they easily plug up with debris, and blowing them out with compressed air can force the drain tubes off the nipples. I use a small automatic transmission funnel with tube attached to do this....

    I wonder if a shop vac is powerful enough to change the oil in my truck, I usually bring it to a place because it's too much of a bitch taking off the heavy steel guard underneath that covers the oil pan, I would think a longer hose might make it more difficult 🍻

    • @RonMulletWoodwork
      @RonMulletWoodwork  3 роки тому +1

      I think it could be done. You probably would need a larger diameter hose. It would take a long time and don't forget to have the engine warm so the oil will flow better.

      @@RonMulletWoodwork Yeah thanks, I'll try the smaller diameter just long enough to get out of the engine and then a little larger than you show here 👍, if it works for the truck, then it will work for the lawn mower!

      You still have to get under the truck to change the filter.

      Use a length of brake line that just fits down the dipstick tube if you can't find stiff plastic tube....My PL6000 evacuator operates that way with a stiff plastic tube, I can remove the hand vacuum pump and hold the shop-vac hose on it......
