Excellent job ! 👍

Not bad my guy. Not bad at all. A little discrepancy in the jamb on the right side but much better than I and most can do! Especially using sheet metal instead of prefabbed parts! Good work brother
Thank you so much for commenting and supporting the channel. The process was about 17 hours of work. I tried my best to choose the important part of each episode and make it under 9 minutes video. I misplaced the last two episodes and that caused some discrepancy. Since it was my first video, I will do better job as far as uploading the videos to have better idea of the repair process and not create any confusion. Thank you again Brother.🙏🏼🙏🏼
I am stunned by the result of your work at the end; it is an art 👍
Well done Ali, you are a gifted sheet metal worker ! (Fixing the sxxt of Ford)

Like so many others who commented, I am impressed by the quality of your workmanship. Well done! I am wondering, though, if there shouldn't have been some drain holes put into the panels for water and leaves and debris that runs off the windshield and down the venting alongside the bottom of the windshield and down to the panels. Those FACTORY holes in the panels become plugged -- they should have been made bigger at the factory -- and are a major cause for the rusting to have occurred in the bottom panel and door opening in the first place. That's my opinion anyway.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a wonderful and true comment. I totally agree with you. the holes were so small and they get blocked by time. I made sure to coat the interior section of the rocker panel with primer, undercoating urethane, and cavity wax to prevent any condensation or rust.again, thank you for commenting 🙏🏼
Prevention is key, this video describes how to:

Very good skills.
Thank you 🙏🏼
On my Chevy van big rust on lower under doors rocker panels I got some ABS black plastic 6 in and ran it through a table saw cut it in half. Two pieces the length from tire to tire. Drilled out resessed holes in top and Screwed in self tappers.. Black Caulk the top. Underneath I bent 5 bolts connected to anything. It's ugly Rusty mess but it worked and it will never rust there again.
Oh I forgot I used old engine oil in a spray bottle mixed with some paint thinner and sprayed all the underneath before I started.
For other projects, If you want free metal just find a commercial metal shop dumpster. If you get lucky you'll find the primed and painted with the plastic film overlay.
Thank you for your comment and your support to my channel 🙏🏼🙏🏼

What type of cutter is being used for the plug welds.
Thank you for commenting and sorry for the late answer, the holes of the plug welds are 8mm.
I meant 8mm drill bit
@@Autobody.repair.with.ALJWAD Okay thankyou for getting back always wondered what the best size would be👍.
Excellent job
Thank you for supporting the channel. 🙏🏼
It's a really great job. Just a question: What is the average cost for this maintenance?
I got a 2010 ford fusion with same exact issue. Can’t afford a body shop but I believe mechanically skilled enough to put a good band aid on it so to speak 😂.
What’s the best way? I was thinking of riveting a piece of metal or even buy a cheap flex welder and then do the rest of the steps you did. Any advice helps.
I know this isn’t a permanent solution I just need the car for a couple more months.
Хорошая работа, молодец
fto have done it in under 10 minutes im impressed lolol.. jk.. all jokes aside. great job. having to fabrication your own panel is a pain in the butt.

Ali, you should post a video of your shop, and let your viewers know what city your working in...if you're in michigan, Id bring my car in for rust repair that is very similar to this, shown in the video.👌
Sure I will, we are located in Peoria IL. thanks for supporting the channel and I promise I will make more valuable videos. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
quality job.
Thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼
How much would it cost to do this job? I have one with the same issues but it would probably cost more then what the car is worth! Outstanding workmanship!
I realy don't know exactly how much the owner of our shop did charge the customer. All what I knew that it was very sentimental for the owner of the car to fix it regardless the cost, thank you for your great support to my channel. 🙏🙏
At a meager $65/hr x 17hrs = $1105, plus (modestly) $200 in paints, $50 supplies, $75 materials = $325 x 25% for overhead = $406.25 @ $1511.25 + tax
Where did you get the replacement rocker panels? I also have a fusion and will be doing this eventually.
LKQ is a part company,I think my boss got it from them. Check any auto parts manufacturer.good luck 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Awesome job sir. I got the same problem. Can you help fix it? Where are you located?
Please let me know the location of your shop or some way to contact you.
@Nepal071 I am located in Peoria Illinois
It is my pleasure to fix your car if you are around.
Ja uvijek prije punila stavlja Epoxy primer 2k, nakon toga punilo, ili pasta za lemljenje i kositar pa sve ostalo kako vec ide...
Hello Ali I was reading the comments and noticed you were located in Peoria Illinois are you still located here? If so how do I set up an appointment
for this exact repair?

Well i am gobsmacked i thought that cars didn't rot these days how wrong was i my vauxhall combo is a 55 plate and still solid under neath
I wonder how much that would cost you to get done
I got about 30 hours to do both sides. I wish i could tell you exactly how much, but I work in the shop, and the office does all the deals with the customer. Thank you for supporting the channel 🙏
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥l 😎😎😀😎😎😀
Where are you based out of?
what about the place for the lift?
It is supported by a thicker gauge plate to lift the car safely.
Лютый мужик! Отхерачил всё лёжа на земле😮💪👍👍👍
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@Autobody.repair.with.ALJWAD very good 👍
How much does a repair like this usually cost?
It depends on the shop's labor rate for body work and paint. I work in this shop as a body tech and I don't write the estimate so I am not sure what we charged the customer.thank you for supporting the channel.
Drill a drainhole in the inner section if possible spotweld lowwerside if not then drill 8mm holes before you put it on the car and if done correct welding you don't need to put fiberglass on the panel and wax the inside after painting
I made sure to drill a drain hole, the welds done correctly but I plug welded because there is no spot weld machine in the shop also, I sprayed cavity wax inside the panel using a 360° spray tip.the reason I put fiber glass is because the panel I received was defective so I had to re-fabricate the panel and that caused deep dings and hammer prints.i couldn't show every step of the repair process because of the length of the video(17 hours). I had to remove some important content to make the video less then 10 minutes.also, the low quality of the camera of my phone played a bad role too.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and i am always grateful to read any valuable information that makes the job better.thank you for supporting the channel. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
How much did that cost the customer
@josiahbentham24 I was an employee there, and I don't know how much the boss charged the customer. I would charge between $2500 to $3500 for both sides with parts included.
How much rapiar inner rockets
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼
What thickness sheet metal did you use?
The rocker panel outer part that I received came as 20 gauge. Also, the rear sectioning plates were 20 but the middle flat bar that can hold the pressure of the jack is gauge 18 to increase the strength.
@@Autobody.repair.with.ALJWAD thank you for the information about the sheet metal.
@@clearsailing7993 my pleasure 🙏🏼
One hole, little rust, couple of years without noticing and that happens.
good job.but why film it like wacky races could not see what he was doing .
The actual repair time it took 17 hours of work. I deleted so many hours and edited the important steps only, hope you understand that not many people have the patience to watch a 17 hours video,.thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏🏼
🙏🙏🙏
Nice job but don't put you jack on that lower edge
I made sure to weld a thick gauge metal as a supportive bar to allow the jack to lift the car with no problem. This is not a plastic surgery. Thanks for sharing your concerns 🙏🏼
@@Autobody.repair.with.ALJWAD good job
In Europe they will charge you $1000 at least for that job, and give you bare metal without plaster and paint finish.
Thank you for supporting the channel 🙏🏼🙏🏼
A spatula for raw sheet metal?
what about rust protection on the inside of that freshly repaired patch?
in just 2 to 3 years time it'll be worse than before...🤮
I applied primer all over the inside panel and added cavity wax through the drain holes using a 360 degree nozzle to make sure that the cavity wax(corrosion protection material)cover the entire inside panel.🙂
Good Jop. Perfekt,
Thank you for supporting the channel 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Price?
Not sure exactly how much our shop charged the customer.
its a ford what do you expect fords are well known as rust buckets
Unfortunately it is true.
@@Autobody.repair.with.ALJWAD now from my experiance peugeots do not rust
i have a 15 year old 308 the only bit of rust is the rear axil the underboddy is like new, why do people ditch peugeots they are very reliable engines
It depends where you live.salt, and weather conditions such as snow it vary in each state 👍
@@Autobody.repair.with.ALJWAD i live on a island in the uk we use salt t grit our roads as well. we also have the salt from the sea that comes over the only road on and of the island.

All that work for a disposable POS Fusion lol!
Yeah but it's still a customer car man.
280,000, miles on mine and it's still running strong but it does have rust in that exact same spot. Never left me stranded or on the side of the road
What guage sheet metal did you use?
The inner and the outer parts came as gauge 20 but I added a flat bar in between for the jack spot that is thicker gauge(gauge 18) to make sure it is safe to lift the car with no problem.
Thanks for supporting the channel 🙏🏼🙏🏼
