Elvis was inducted into all 5 Music Hall of Fames!!! He was so versatile...had it all. Michael Jackson studied Elvis' moves, bigtime, and then did his own (MJ) fantastic thang. Talent is talent...great is great. I love watching the very best at anything. Elvis is still killin' it and he's been gone since August 1977...46 years!! RIP E!

So happy to see young people who listen to current music come on board with Elvis. There is so much to discover, so many genres of music, songs that show off his sublime vocal range and his ability to sincerely express lyrics from his soul. His power and charisma are unmatched, Enjoy the ride, you will be on it for some time as Elvis has a huge number of songs to go through, and you will truly be amazed.

When God created my friend Elvis he was just showing off. I can't tell you how much i love and miss him, there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and cared about my feelings and opinions. What it comes down to is we both needed a true friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. God bless you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn. fun fact the instruments were cardboard cutouts.

Elvis had one of the most versatile voices ever. He could sing any genre. Another good song of his for vocals was his One Night of Sin. If you see One Night With You, that’s the sanitized version. You want the original. People in the 50s thought it was too risqué. It’s pretty tame compared to most rap songs.

Jane H commenting ….. Elvis is just 21 here, & he was such a great dancer, but got into a lot of trouble with parents & grandparents, because of his dancing, which they said was ‘vulgar’ ..”suggestive” & worse. Whenever he was being televised, he was censored from the waist down. The media labelled him Elvis the Pelvis, which he hated. He sang & danced in 31 movies & was the highest paid actor in Hollywood. In the early 1970s, he did dance to some songs he was singing, but his dancing style had changed in his mid-30s & was more athletic, & definitely sexy, & incorporated some of the movements he did in his Karate training …. He had a black belt to 8th degree in Karate, & trained daily to keep himself fit. Jailhouse Rock is a favourite of mine. Been a big Elvis fan for almost sixty years now & nothing is going to change that. Great Reaction from you.

When you hear Elvis sing " Dixieland

He combines Blues, Rock and Jazz that nobody has done before or since!!! This song is from his greatest movie, " King Creole " and

You are realizing that Elvis was different. This is why he was called The King of Rock and Roll. In reality, i'd say he's the King of all music. He's the only man who's in the most different Music Hall of Fame, with five: Rock N Roll, Country, Gospel, Rockabilly and R&B.

So many great Elvis tunes, but please check out Trying to Get to You on the 68 comeback special; his passion is so overwhelming in that one. My mother constantly played Elvis in our house in the 70s, but I never cared much for him until I started really listening and learning about him, and the trip to Graceland sealed the deal. You can't go there and come back without admiration for his talent and soul.

If you want to see a good 1956 version of Elvis singing Hound Dog do the Milton Berle Show with Dialogue at the end of the song he slows it down & even his band mates didn’t know he was going to do it but they know Elvis & just followed along perfectly it was during this song that the adults complained to the TV stations that the way he moved was vulgar & for a short while they would only show him from the waist up until the teenagers complained & rebelled because they wanted to see all of Elvis!! it was fantastic! Also this one gives you a glimpse of his charisma & comic side!! Elvis’s voice was so unique that it changed every decade it was a little different from the 50’s thru the 70’s up until his passing! Elvis had no choreographer he just moved with the music that’s what’s so great with him everything came natural no voice training no dance training & he even arranged his music he could take a cover song & make it his own he was a genius when it came to music! You won’t regret going down the Elvis Rabbit hole.

It's great to see today's generation really appreciating his incredible voice and musicality. I've been a fan for 50+ years and I'm still hearing new songs or different versions. • @williamquinlan6153
    @williamquinlan6153 Рік тому +3

Elvis used this type of vocal in the If I Can Dream song but his voice was deeper. Elvis came up with various vocal techniques for the new genre of rock n roll in the 50s. This style can be heard in the Mean Woman Blues video from '57 and in tracks like Hard Headed Woman from '58 and Hound Dog. Elvis also sang Blues often this way as in his treatment of Reconsider Baby, '60. Presley had a TV Special in '68 that featured a lot of singing like this as in his stand up performance of a 3 song medley which included Heartbreak Hotel, Hound Dog, and All Shook Up while clad in black leather. The 50s were characterized by a sexual repressiveness to a degree where mainstream performers didn't incorporate movement onstage. Elvis became the first one to do that and adult audiences were outraged calling him vulgar and wanting him to be censored or sometimes even arrested. The teenagers though fell in love with the new music of rock making it the dominant form of pop.

Elvis is still awesome to hear and watch today imagine hearing and especially seeing him in the '50s. The door to a different universe was opened. I was lucky enough to see Elvis live in the early 1970's and even before he came on stage there was an electricity or something I can't describe in the air. From the moment he came on stage I honestly had to keep reminding myself to breathe because he was so gorgeous he left you breathless. I would have paid to just sit there and stare at him even if he didn't sing. I have been to countless concerts of every genre and none of them come close. It wasn't just something on an emotional level you felt it was something entirely different.

Check out trying to get to you from his 1968 Comeback Special with his original band from the 50s and early 60s. His voice is so incredible on that. Also everything they did in that part of the show or they're just sitting in chairs running through old hits like a front porch Jam, it's all fantastic. Elvis. Song in the middle and just interact with the band in the audience. Heartbreak Hotel is another one that has this kind of vocal quality. But I would strongly suggest trying to get to you.

Most of elvis' early songs were uptempo-all shook Up, Hound dog-although he also had a few ballads-Love Me Tender. His best vocal performance to me is his version of It's Now Or Never. If you want to hear Elvis' vocal range check out one of his very last charted hits "Way down."

I believe Queen covered this song and Motley Crue but no one comes close to Elvis in delivery. Freddy Mercury was a huge Elvis fan he rocked this song lol. Elvis sang all genres blues, rock, country, gospel, sometimes your like ok Elvis make up your mind what is this song lol like Faded Love is a mixture of pure genius haha. He was producer so he mixed his music like he wanted even in the 50’s and u can hear it. Also Elvis was never choreographed in his life he actually did the choreography for the Jailhouse Rock scene yea he could never work with one for obvious reasons lol. I hope u enjoy Elvis as much as we do he has many surprises in store the journey is long so strap yourself in and enjoy the ride TCB⚡️

Now watch him do this on his '68 Comeback TV special at ua-cam.com/video/87N6Qa0D7KY/v-deo.html -- an energetic, rousing rendition on the stand-up segment of the show -- & see the difference -- fantastic! One reactor did a side-by-side of both versions & he got so many responses about '68 -- how people never realized how good it was.

One of my favorite singers of all time. He was the king of lots of reasons. He was called Elvis the Pelvis. He was banned from some places and states, and he was filmed from the shoulders and above because they said his dancing was to vulgar. Elvis had a lot of opposition from racist people back in the day. They thought he sounded too "Negro" (black). I'm glad he prevailed and his talent was undeniable. Long live the king! By the way, if you are Impressed with beautiful male voices, react to "Dimash" (S.O.S). 🔥♥🙂👍👏

Melisa Rae: Elvis actually had a choreographer on the film for this - Alex Romero - who never got credit for it but did eventually get a printed apology from the studio head -- famous dancer Gene Kelly was also on set & they all worked together; Romero also worked w-Elvis on 3 of his movies.

This was the first ever music video because there's music and there's video why is this not considered a music video so what is it then since you obviously think you know everything it is a music video the first ever just like the 1968 comeback special is the first unplugged ever there both right there in front of your face so you need to know what your talking about before you speak

@@anthonyfrazier8448 when something is literally put onto tape for video or onto film, that's what they are called; Elvis' film was not on tape for a video at that time -- we can say now that there is a video of Elvis doing Jailhouse Rock, but not literally call it the first ever video; correctly said it now is a video from his film, but not the first ever video; btw, there are multitude of people who comment about it not being the 1st ever video; but no need to get so upset when someone's comment is opposite of your view or opinion; if you refuted a comment of mine, that's fine, it wouldn't get my goat
