1/9/2022 can confirm this still works I bought two 12 months from Costco for $110 then I bought one more again from Costco for $56. Costco only let you buy the digital 2 times in a transaction. So technically you have to buy Xbox Live Gold, so you are paying $60 per year (USA) $60x3=180. So that evens out to $5 a month for Game Pass Ultimate which is $10 less a month so instead of paying $540 for 3 years it’s $180!

Confirm still works. However! *If you have purchased Ultimate in the past, you need to make a new acct on your Xbox, set the console as "My Home Xbox" in preferences, add the 3 years + subscribe to ultimate* Then just switch back to your original acct. Works like a charm✌🏽

Unfortunately no it won't :( You can add Live Gold time, but once you are an active GamePass member and you try adding Live Gold time after that then the time you add will be cut. They have some kind of formula for it I don't know exactly how it converts but you can find out how much by talking to Xbox support on their website if you need to. Essentially you'll lose time from whatever you have bought since the value of Live Gold is less than the value of Game Pass or Ultimate of course. An example (just to explain, not the actual formula because I have no idea what the math is) is if you buy 1 year Live Gold and try to add it to your Game Pass subscription, instead of getting another year of Game Pass you'd get 6 months Game Pass Subscription time as an example. It's best for you to wait until your current subscription ends before adding more. If you add Live Gold now while you have Ultimate, you will get much less than what you bought, in terms of time. Meaning if you buy 1 year of Live Gold and try adding it now, you may get 3-6 months of Ultimate from that. So best to wait probably. No don't do it! If you're a current Gamepass Ultimate member, and add any Gold time on, it does NOT convert 1:1! 24 months of Gold will turn into 8 months of Ultimate while you're an Ultimate member. The safe thing to do is to wait until your November membership is over, then load up to 36 months of Live Gold, and then pay for 1 month of Ultimate at that time to convert it all over equally 1:1 at that time. I know you can definitely use store bought Xbox Live Gold cards for sure because that's what I did - as for Game Pass Ultimate cards I'm not 100% sure, though I would think it would. If I could guinea pig it for you myself I would, and if you want to try for yourself I'd suggest buying the amount of time you want the subscription to be (up to 3 years max) of Live Gold cards and then the least time/cheapest option for Game Pass Ultimate, I'm not sure but I believe it's 30 or 14 days being the smallest available. I'm not sure their formula but I believe if you put in 6 months of Gold now to your Ultimate membership you'll get like 2-3 months of Ultimate from it. I just asked Xbox support for you, one person said you cancel and the remaining time you have left over will continue and as long as recurring billing is off then it will stop once the paid time is done. Another person said if you cancel it immediately, then it will not continue past the moment you cancel. So maybe look for that option and see if you can cancel immediately. Confirm still works. However! *If you have purchased Ultimate in the past, you need to make a new acct on your Xbox, set the console as "My Home Xbox" in preferences, add the 3 years + subscribe to ultimate* Then just switch back to your original acct.

Unfortunately no it won't :( You can add Live Gold time, but once you are an active GamePass member and you try adding Live Gold time after that then the time you add will be cut. They have some kind of formula for it I don't know exactly how it converts but you can find out how much by talking to Xbox support on their website if you need to. Essentially you'll lose time from whatever you have bought since the value of Live Gold is less than the value of Game Pass or Ultimate of course. An example (just to explain, not the actual formula because I have no idea what the math is) is if you buy 1 year Live Gold and try to add it to your Game Pass subscription, instead of getting another year of Game Pass you'd get 6 months Game Pass Subscription time as an example. 1st: Let your subscription expire. 2nd: buy xbox live gold up to 3 years. 3rd: buy 1 month game pass ultimate $14.99 which converts all your xbox live gold months you just paid for to game pass ultimate. Still works. When you upgrade to game pass it says it converts up to 36 months.

The safe thing to do is to wait until your November membership is over, then load up to 36 months of Live Gold, and then pay for 1 month of Ultimate at that time to convert it all over equally 1:1 at that time. I know you can definitely use store bought Xbox Live Gold cards for sure because that's what I did - as for Game Pass Ultimate cards I'm not 100% sure, though I would think it would. If I could guinea pig it for you myself I would, and if you want to try for yourself I'd suggest buying the amount of time you want the subscription to be (up to 3 years max) of Live Gold cards and then the least time/cheapest option for Game Pass Ultimate, I'm not sure but I believe it's 30 or 14 days being the smallest available. Hey I asked Xbox support for this question for you, they said the 1 month of Live Gold would apply first and then once that month is over, your 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate would then start. I don't think that seems worth it 🤔

The last time I bought a 12 month gold card it auto converted to 4-6 months of ultimate.
You have to have the Live Gold activated first and then Ultimate after. Did you do it this way or the opposite?

Works as of 4/26/22. However, I still got charged $15.93 for 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate after redeeming 12 months of Xbox Live Gold code from Amazon. It said get your first month for $1,

Hey so I have a question. If I cancel my xbox game pass ultimate will it also cancel my xbox live gold?
I just asked Xbox support for you, one person said you cancel and the remaining time you have left over will continue and as long as recurring billing is off then it will stop once the paid time is done. Another person said if you cancel it immediately, then it will not continue past the moment you cancel. So maybe look for that option and see if you can cancel immediately. Let me know what you find please!

My gut feeling is that it will cancel both, because I think once you convert the Live Gold to Gamepass Ultimate, the Live Gold is actually converted over and gone.

Yep! You don't need a new account to be able to convert any Xbox Live Gold time to Game Pass Ultimate. Just make sure you don't have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription running currently when you make the one month purchase!
