  • I got the job! ! I can't wait to start my flexible hybrid working UX design job in the city. In this video I go through the process of the interview, questions they asked me, what kind of design task I was assigned and how long the process took. This career change isn't a far stretch from what I was doing before but it feels like a massive step in a new direction and a breath of fresh air.
Hope you find this video helpful, let me know your experience with interviews or design tasks, I will hopefully be making a lot more content around design.

Hi Lily! Thanks for sharing your experience and hope that you could also share about your design task, if that is possible? It would be great to know how did you tackle the task and your design methodology process as well. Great vid!

@@itslilycameron I would like to see your step-by-step process, essentially your design process and the thinking behind them. I think it would be helpful for beginners like me to see how it's done 😅😅

Getting rejected by companies, can put you down. Do you think you should call the company for personal feedback why they declined you a job offer?...

Hi, this really great, thaks for sharing about the process, i would love to know how do you go about practicing presenting the project, should i record my presentation rehersal to get better, how did you go about it? It'll be really helpful if you could share some tips to improve presentation skills and common mistakes to avoid.🌟

Sure thing for some quick tips on presenting I’d say time yourself on your phone and see how long the presentation goes for, if you speak too fast or slow then change that up. After each slide or main section ask if they have any questions, and prepare answers for possible questions in advance. I’ll make a video more in depth about this if you like :)

Hi Lily, just looking back at this video as a sign of hope in my ux journey, just recently found a job/company that I would love to be part of and really want to go above and beyond to get it. In the same predicament as you in the video a bit but with 2 cases and a few personal designs, just wanted to ask exactly how did you write your cover letter to begin with and connected with those individuals to get a call from HR any tips? Would highly appreciate it >3 thank youuu

THREE HOURS? How did you feel about it? Isn't too much? I'm asking because I just got an opportunity to New York with an 30 minutes interview.

I’ve heard of design interviews taking waaaay longer than this, jumping through way more hoops- so I was pretty happy with it, 30 minutes feels crazy short!

How do you generate your project ideas?

I take an interest I have and ask myself how I could assist that in some way- or something that annoys me in daily life and think of a way a software could fix that. For instance, remembering how much to water my plants, or thinking of a cocktail to make. The ideas come, then I design around this 😊
