- I've been busy making a career change to UX design! Deciding to leave behind a comfortable job can be daunting, but it was time for me to delve more into the design aspects of my job. I have prior experience in this area and keen to develop it so over the course of a few months I learned some additional skills and cleaned up my CV ready to pivot my career trajectory.
Hope you find this video helpful, let me know your experience with changing careers, I will hopefully be making a lot more content around design.

Are you thinking about changing career?
*EDIT* I've uploaded the update to this video!
I’ve been going through the exact same thing. I’m trying to pivot from graphic design into UX, but I honestly hate my job and I wanna put my resume out there but I feel like I’m not ready. I wish you the best and I’d be interested in more UX content!
@@yannimabes154 if it’s something you want to do, I know you can make it happen! Focus on making a portfolio, and I’ll definitely be making more UX and career focused content :)

How your eyes are so perfect round. Watching your eyes gives a very different feeling of smile. 🙂
Hello Lilly. What resources did you use to learn the skills for ux design? I am in a bootcamp currently, but I want to find ways to improve outside of the bootcamp. Congratulations on your success, very motivating!
Hello, chance upon this, it's really cool to see your procress!
How long did you take to finish your portfolio
and also how many projects you made in the portfolio you got accepted?
I’ve been thinking about changing my career too;( u really encouraging me ❤️🔥. I also have to mention that your videos are such great planned and edited❤️❤️❤️❤️, what is your editing app? Oh also the course that you’ve learned from, thank you so much ❤️
👍👍👍
hey Lily i’m looking to get into UX design (as a complete beginner and third year uni student) and i was wondering if you thought any of the online courses (google, careerfoundry etc) are any good at building a portfolio? thanks x
Hi Lily~
Did you use PowerPoint to present your works? Or how does it work?
Hi, how did you prepare before you start to design? I'm trying to create my first portfolio, and am struggling :(
Hi Lily. Thanks so much for uploading this video (and others). I am a bit older than you but I find it really inspiring and have been wanting to make the jump for myself, for some time now. I think these are really practical tips and I really appreciate them, so thank you so much again. Just wondering, what computer desktop setup you have? I was thinking of getting a Mac desktop, but if I didn't need to due to the expense, I would like to avoid it where possible!
Hey! I’m glad you found it inspiring ☺️ this is a custom built PC my brother put together, all the parts were selected for smooth video editing and cost around £1K (something I saved up for ages for) so for the short term a Mac might be cheaper !
Hi, what did you use to create your portfolio
Is this career stressful or do you find it fairly good for work-life balance?
Hey, do you have a mentor?
Hello i belive you must be busy but am also UX self taught and I would love to have a chat with you.
great video tho Obvi their are so many things which can be batter i feel but with this low content really great quality
With this low i mean ur video and that i are just starting YT
I found your contents are very helpful and relatable for someone who’s looking for new career! I’m debating if I should get into bootcamp since almost everyone say it will save a lot of time, and you will learn a lot from mentor. If you don’t mind me asking I would like to know what’s your main resource to teach yourself a ux design’s skills ? thanks!
I’m glad you found it useful! I personally didn’t do a boot camp (too expensive) but it can be helpful. UA-cam guides on figma and the M3 material site helped a lot when I was learning
@@itslilycameron great content first of all.
Witch UA-cam course you went for Figma?
