I dont understand why ppl ask how much invested how much spent. Every person can find these parts at different price and do it at different cost to none. This guy wanted and he did it. If you wonna have something money shouldn't be counted. This guy has the most specced e60 in the world even though its retrofitted. Fair play to him 👏👍
Do not forget the audio. I think the top was the Dirac unit with EQ on settings, its sound is very good. Unfortunately this audio was never used on other models as far as I know, HK, Bose and BW overtook this market after 2008. Do not miss one of the most important extra: the cupholders in the dash. If you do not have than you should change the complete dashboard.
Unfortunately, i have sold the car. I drive an M550d Individual and an custom i3S "Individual" now. I planning to start building an E83 X3 3.0sd, with specs the world never have seen on an X3 before. :P
Not at all. The pre 03/2005 cars is way more difficult too. You´ll have to rewire a new harness from the AHL module under the glove box and route it to the LCM. Then you have to do wiring jobs for head- and tail lights.
What SaltkjelenBMW suggests is the OEM option. The easier way is to get a Bluetooth dongle from Ebay that you pin into the plug at the back of your DVD player. Then simply have someone code in the AUX function. Or do it yourself with NCS Expert. That's what I did. Cost me €50 and I'm very happy with it.
Great job on the interior 👏wouldn't go bigger than 245/18/40 tyres as the e60 was made to drive as a luxury sedan, not an M3...though the updates must have cost u triple the amount you paid for the car ;)
You have to do some work with the wiring. If your har have AHL, you have to wire all cables from the old AHL module under the glove box to the LCM II as well.

Thank you
Hi! Other B-pillars than E60/E61 won´t fit. I have cutted in the OEM pillars. I may have some pictures in my BMW build thread (its for the E60, F01, i3S and M550d, so its many pages).
Take a look if you want. Unfortunately, its all in norwegian, but the pictures may help. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer me,
Really amazing job , I have a E60 and I’m trying to add some mods .
@@saltkjelen535
Hi , for the door sills where can I get them
Thank you
@@ase826 Hi! They are original, but they are out of production. They went out of production in 2012 or something. :(
@@saltkjelen535
Thanks man
Always replying and helping
Can you share your email for more info about some modifications it’s not on your UA-cam channel ?
Thank you
Did you get the m bumpers and side skirts your color or you had to paint it after purchase ?
Nope, you have to paint. This was the OEM M-sport retrofit kit from BMW.
bro how MUCH have you invested ;OOOO
but I see YOU really love your E60
:)
Thanks! :)
im guessing enough to go from a e60 to a f10 , still impressive work tho
@@alpinab14 I build this car from 2011 to 2016. At that time, F1x was way more expensive than the E6x.
@@saltkjelen535 ah i hear you man , by the way great job , ive got a e60 530i myself so i can imagine how much time and effort when into , e60 great cars they are worth the effort so good job man
I dont understand why ppl ask how much invested how much spent. Every person can find these parts at different price and do it at different cost to none. This guy wanted and he did it. If you wonna have something money shouldn't be counted. This guy has the most specced e60 in the world even though its retrofitted. Fair play to him 👏👍
Full loaded
What about the engine 520d with 200000 motorway miles
Where did you buy the m body kit
It was bought at my local BMW dealer
Looks nice ! But still few options are missing. :) Night vision, adaptive cruise control. :) But I've never seen so many options in E60 before. :)
Yes, I know. It also miss 6 CD changer / DVD changer. :)
@@saltkjelen535 CD Changer retrofit is easy compared with those 2 😀
@@MrTomas9511 indeed😂
Do not forget the audio. I think the top was the Dirac unit with EQ on settings, its sound is very good. Unfortunately this audio was never used on other models as far as I know, HK, Bose and BW overtook this market after 2008. Do not miss one of the most important extra: the cupholders in the dash. If you do not have than you should change the complete dashboard.
What about dynamic drive, keyless go, webasto, Logic7?
I was wondering where you purchased the piano black interior trim kit? i can’t find one.
You can order new from BMW Individual (expensive), eBay or paint your existing trim in piano black finish.
how did you upgrade your CCC to CIC iDrive? I've read in many forums that upgrading the iDrive from CCC to CIC is super hard if not imposssible.
Hi. Not impossible at all. Its many ways to do the retrofit. :)
Holy shit i can imagine how much these retrofits cost. Do you still own this car?
Unfortunately, i have sold the car. I drive an M550d Individual and an custom i3S "Individual" now. I planning to start building an E83 X3 3.0sd, with specs the world never have seen on an X3 before. :P
is it PNP for the lci lights?
Not at all. The pre 03/2005 cars is way more difficult too. You´ll have to rewire a new harness from the AHL module under the glove box and route it to the LCM. Then you have to do wiring jobs for head- and tail lights.
Would it not have been easier and cheaper to buy the car already fitted?
except that you had never bought the car like that? To me, its a hobby to do retrofits.
@@saltkjelen535 in any case a very nice car!!
@@Didier1978 Thanks!
is it hard to make the car stream bluetooth audio? mine hss no aux and bt doesn’t play music
You need CIC navigation, and then replace your MULF/TCU with an Combox.
What SaltkjelenBMW suggests is the OEM option. The easier way is to get a Bluetooth dongle from Ebay that you pin into the plug at the back of your DVD player. Then simply have someone code in the AUX function. Or do it yourself with NCS Expert. That's what I did. Cost me €50 and I'm very happy with it.
kor kjøpte du side speilene fra? bra video
Tusen takk! De ble kjøpt fra Koed for en del år siden. Det er originale M5 speil.
Renault 4 👍💪
How did you make Combox Internet, Apps work?
Combox requires CIC. You have to do some special codings to get it work.
@@saltkjelen535 i have combox, cic, but i'm not able to code it to work.
@@whaipas Since E6x never came with combox from factory, you have to code it as an E90 3-series.
@@saltkjelen535 already coded. Everything is working, except internet, bmw live
Great job on the interior 👏wouldn't go bigger than 245/18/40 tyres as the e60 was made to drive as a luxury sedan, not an M3...though the updates must have cost u triple the amount you paid for the car ;)
Thanks. The car had plenty of comfortness even with 20s. It definitely depends on the tires.
its possible make start button ?
Yes, I think everything is possible, but it will make hassle if you need to order new keys from BMW in the future.
Is it a lot of work to put in the LCI headlights?
The E60 look amazing btw
You have to do some work with the wiring. If your har have AHL, you have to wire all cables from the old AHL module under the glove box to the LCM II as well.
Where did you buy all those parts?
Scrapyards, part retailers, eBay etc. :)
What percent tint on windows?
Hi. They are OEM Individual tinted windows, but the rear door and window has sun blind as well.
Ellers ganske grei skuring.
