    Hi! I’ve made these cookies once and they were really amazing! I was wondering if it is possible for me to make the dough in advance, keep it in the freezer and only bake the cookies when I want them fresh on another day?

      Hey there, just cook at one temperature.
      We're not sure the exact days, but usually can keep for one or two weeks in fridge in an airtight container. 😊

    how much cocoa powder do i need to use if i want to make the chocolate version? and should i reduce the flour?

    • @SweetDumpling
      @SweetDumpling  3 роки тому +1

      HI there, a friend she tried 10g of cocoa powder, and the taste is good. Don't need to reduce the flour. 😊

  • @1f488

    What about adding liquid ingredients in? Like flavor paste or condensed milk? Or even nuts?

    • @SweetDumpling
      @SweetDumpling  3 роки тому

      Hello John, you can try to add other ingredients, if you like. As long as the liquid is not much, it won’t affect the texture so much. Happy baking! 😊

    Hi, would I need to reduce all purpose flour if I wanted to add cocoa powder?

    • @SweetDumpling
      @SweetDumpling  4 роки тому +1

      Hi, @Azwin S.A, no need to reduce flour, because cocoa powder is very little amount 😊
      if cocoa powder is using more than 5 gram, then reduce same amount of flour. 😋

    What if I don’t have powdered sugar? And can I replace the crystal sugar with granulated sugar?

    • @SweetDumpling
      @SweetDumpling  4 роки тому +1

      Hello there, you can use the granulated sugar to roll the dough, but won't that bling bling 😊
      You can replace the powdered sugar with granulated sugar.

    Hi, i noticed u didnt add an egg yolk like a lot of sable recipes call for. Is tat the reason your sable is so crispy?

    • @SweetDumpling
      @SweetDumpling  3 роки тому +1

      HI there, some of the French recipes we refer, they don't add egg yolk in this cookie dough. But maybe this is the reason to make it crispy. 😊

  • @1f488
    @1f488 3 роки тому

    Did u roll anything else besides sugar? And any other flavors like miso?

      Another question.. chill in chiller or freezer? Do u cut immediately or thaw for a while?

    So, for the sable cookies, you don’t need to cream the butter compared to American cookies?

    • @SweetDumpling
      @SweetDumpling  Рік тому

      HI, We have creamed the butter, just with a different tool, we use spatula instead of a hand mixer. 😊

    hai.. i tried your recipe, but my cookies is not straight, i mean they melt down, the bottom part. any advice?

    • @SweetDumpling
      @SweetDumpling  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Mieke, it might be the oven temp is too high, the butter in the cookies melts too quickly. Another reason is cookies dough too warm, the cookies dough had been refrigerated for an hour that the cookies will melt slower under the heat of the oven. 😊
