I'm not a southerner although I have some southern roots a couple generations back and visited occasionally growing up. In my opinion Jerry Clower was the funniest man alive during my lifetime and I'd still stack his work against any comedian working today. I must have worn out a half dozen audio tapes of his albums over the years. RIP Jerry, I'm glad God left you here long enough to have brought so much joy to a whole lotta people.

I never knew exactly what town in Mississippi that Jerry was from, though I do recall hearing him mention several times in his comical stories, that the "B-eau-tiful Versie Ledbetter Farm" was supposedly located down on "Rt. 4, Liberty Mis'ssippi!!" LOL!! 😊

You are simi correct. A lot has to do with what breed the honey bees are. Italian bees are the most common in the Ohio area and fairly easy to work with. Midnight are just big babys and very easy but produce less honey. Cyprean breaad, they can keep em! Very aggressive. England has shared a breed called Buck Fast breed. I hear these are great honay producers and have a very waxy coating on their body and that healp against mites. Mites will wipe out a hive .
