There are to much problèmes with ff14 moreover you can not renew your subscription with credit card even with crytas or anything else. I m really mad about how square enix do nothing for renewables subscription since April 2024.
I had this problem since the 2 weeks before implementing the visit to the Materia data center, it was impossible to play, but as soon as they implemented it, it went back to normal. 3~4 weeks after the release of Dawntrail the problem returned. It's not as bad as before, but it's still not viable to play. If it continues like this I'll have to stop playing. Oh, and im from Brazil and VPN fix the problem for me.
I've been experiencing this as well and it has not been fun. Luckily it seems to only happen late at night, usually starting around 11. Still sucks because sometimes I DO play that late, but at least I can play for most of the day :c
Hi there happy to see you came by, I watch your videos often. Our problems start at like 10-11pmish Pacific, and thats our raid time too because of crazy schedules etc, super sucks.
@@Manchild_Gaming Aww thank you for watching! My friend sent me your vid because he knows I've been having this issue too. I'm so afraid it's going to mess up raiding for me, but so far it has been okay. I don't know how long that will last though :c
I have this same issue this time of year almost every year since about 2020. I’m a pvp main (which may sound crazy) but it completely keeps me from doing the thing I play the game for so I have to stop the game for days/weeks until it resolves itself and waste my monthly sub for it
Bro said Spectrum... i used to use Spectrum and they are the absolute WORST ISP I've ever used. (Frequent service outages, poor customer service, the list goes on and on.) It's not a FFXIV issue, its seriously Spectrum.
I play on mediacom and Starlink. Aside from some Starlink service interruptions this has been the smoothest xpac release I’ve played in a very long time.
I haven't been a static raider, but i'm not likely to BECOME one because of the fact i don't like playing on Oceania, despite having an alt on Sephirot and the JP server Kujata (i think), i sometimes feel like i get better connection back with Goblin - i've had MORE disconnects on Dynamis at times, lag I can tolerate and I know that's an issue for Statics etc - i feel you, Coming to this conclusion it's likely a similar issue i'm facing, i thoguht it was my router/modem dying - we've got a high end mesh router, but it's likely the US server lag. I really do hope They fix it, for your guys' sake , i can live with lag - i'm a veteran Second Life player, so I laugh at some of the lag -- but it is KINDA hard to be in the middle of a dungeon healing and lagging lol
We had quite a few disconnects when we were initially Progging due to several members of my static having spectrum. At this point however, we have cleared and we get reclears done in a single day,,, but not without casualties. Our motto now is; a clear is a clear. They’re messy, but we’re getting through them!
Huh? What? You want SE to fix your ISPs problems? There is nothing SE can do except maybe complain to your provider on your behalf. They have zero remedy for the issue. There is nothing they can collaborate on.
I’m having the same issue on Comcast and had the same issue on AT&T last year. It’s been found already that one of NTT’s node is the culprit, who SQEX is in partnership with. Even FFXIV community reps have acknowledged that this is an issue on Reddit and the forums.
I understand you may think its outlandish that Square would work with ISPs to help customers, but this is directly from the lodestone : "Players may have experienced the following issues as a result. We will continue to monitor the situation and work with ISPs to come up with countermeasures." Granted its regarding DDoS attacks, its just a thought that maybe they would do what they "can" however limited that would be.
Traceroute clearly indicates that the connection hits issues after jumping into NTTs nodes. It is not the ISPs fault. Square needs to urge the company they pay for traffic routing services to actually do their job properly and maintain their network.
This makes a LOT of sense when it comes to the shenanigans I see in M2S. It might not be because they have a 3-4 business days reaction speed, but a 3-4 business days internet speed. Hopefully this gets fixed soon so I can leave PF hell in M2S.
That dead guy dancing all over had me laughing out loud 🤣. I have been facing disconnections, but I am in VPN downloading movies and music, I mean, that I bought of course! So I thought it was my torrent client...I mean, my purchased items downloading all at once! Because I am a good citizen of course 😅
Change isp. All the reason you point out means the isp is the problem. Granted there are instances where sqenix is the issue, but that is easy to figure out cause everyone in the raid will experience the same lag spike. If you have narrowed to lagspikes occuring, and everyone who experiences the lagspike uses the same isp, then it is reasonable to assume it is an isp issue.
Liked because bulky roe-bro, never change roe-bro. Came cause I keep losing connection even as a casual player in dungeons and nothing is more embarassing as a healer main than coming back after a party wipe that happened because of servers
This might be an issue for specific areas, cuz I've been playing for 6 years and never heard of this. My discord has been playing longer, and they haven't either. Maybe we are just lucky.
Dont know where you are located in EU but me and others from Germany are having exactly the same issues since years when patches come out. Rememeber not being able to do any Titania trial in Shadowbringers when she was new because I got disconnected every few minutes or had serious lags every evening for 2 weeks. Company who provides the routing and causes this is Telia as far as I know
i dc almost once daily and i only get to play like 2 hours a day that i play. i use att fiber so not sure what the issue is but its odd that ffxiv is the only game that does this. i played wow and it was fine, played destiny 2 and it was fine.
I’m having massive issues and I’m in Canada so it can’t be Spectrum for me. I’m hitting 2000+ ping in duties sometimes, and it’s not my ISP because I can play other games just fine.
its the ISP path going through NTT. I assume canda is using the same NA Node we are Its not limited to spectrum, but apparently based on the forums and reddit, is a more common isp running into the issue.
The last post square made regarding it was on August 9th i believe, although it was said they will continue to monitor. This particular issue appears to be happening with a specific node and at a specific time. Although DDoS dont help anything, i dont know if that is the root of the problem
Square's network traffic provider, NTT, is causing issues with some ISPs because the route the signal takes starts experiencing significant packet loss after entering NTTs network. It is not exclusive to Spectrum. The forums are littered with traceroute results where the signal shoots up in latency after hitting NTT nodes before dropping off the face of the earth entirely. This has happened in the past, as well.
2 of our static members have had significant issues with this starting last week.
It's rough Saj, can't even prog and I ain't replacing my peeps

I love pvp in the game now actually, crystaline conflict is really fun. I just wish we could duo que for casual matches at least.

Got my DNC weapon from M4s last week but the lag spikes make me think that I just wont be getting a good run with that weapon this upcoming week.
I had huge DC issues around the end of Stormblood. Had to switch to a different game for 6 months before they fixed it.

Yeah it really depends where your isps are routing through. But it's a really ugly situation for some while, like yourself it's not a problem at all.
