    Gorgeous motorcycle! That front end, with three lamps and the Indian head fender lamp-that’s what CLASSIC really means.

    My favorite Indian motorcycle. I'd be on one right now if the Indian dealership hadn't tried to lowball me on my trade-in. Harley offered me $1,500 more on my trade for a Street Glide. With that said, I'd take the Springfield over a Road King. Such a nice bike.

    I have a 2018 Indian Springfield, and its INCREDIBLE. The air-cooled engine gets a little hot when you're at a stop light, but it's not that big of a deal. It's beautiful, and with the awesome option to remove the windshield, it becomes a remarkably lighter feeling, more intimate ride with the road. It's like having two bikes in one, honestly. A true joy to own! Great power, sounds mean and looks even better.

      I got the leather engine flaps for my 2016 and they make a big difference in deflecting the heat. You can get several design features on them. I got the studs to match the seat and then it has embossed feathers, pretty cool.

    Love my 2018 Springfield DarkHorse. I wish it had the LED war bonnet... but it's all good 👍🏼

      @@indianmotorcycleofdesmoine326 Curious about the change to Metzeler Cruisetecs on the 2021 Springfields from the Dunlops used previously. Is it a plus, minus or not really noticeable?

    • @indianmotorcycleofdesmoine326
      @indianmotorcycleofdesmoine326  3 роки тому +1

      @@johncallahan3573 We haven't heard had a lot of feedback yet on the Metzeler just because it was a recent change. From what we are finding the Metzeler is shaped more like a performance tire. It gives you a wider contact patch while leaning the bike. It's a more diverse tire that works better with Indians expanding lineup especially now with the Challenger being a performance bagger. Hope this helps.

    I looked at Indian Vintage/Springfield but ended up buying a Harley FLSTC and later a FLHRCI Road King twin cam. i sold both the twin cams and I am down to my 98 FLSTF and my 72 FLH {No computers to brake}. I still like Indian but it was a financial decision nothing to do with Indian they seem to be great bike. In the mid 70's and early 80's I had a 46 and a 48 Indian Chief {not at the same time but} I am so sorry I sold them

      Perhaps taking both for a test ride so that you have a good reference. Me, I like the Road King, but I would not want all the M8 issues so I'd rather go with a TS111 (I love my 2020 Springfield).

    Who wants an ugly power socket on that gorgeous dash? Seriously dumb idea. My 2017 has a plug out of the way near the steering head which I use to run the GPS which is much smarter. And why isn't an oil cooler standard? It makes a huge difference. Cylinder deactivation is a stupid fix. Oil coolers work well and protect the engine properly. And you should be able to adjust rear air shock electronically and without having to remove a side cover and use a manual Indian bicycle pump. Front suspension is just adequate would be really interested to see differences with canisters as used on the limited. I also highly recommend the proper integrated heated hand grips. Should be standard frankly. And I prefer my stop button on the dash it actually is an unusual feature that works well. And I use it always. Result my battery never goes flat. They are a great bike and love riding mine but would I change my 2017 for this at zero cost? No way...

    What's the best Indian for a 6"2" 250lb man? Most of these Indians seem very low to the ground. Thank you for your thoughts.

      Sorry for the delay. For a guy your size I would recommend going with an extended reach seat. Not only does the seat slide you back for more leg room, it also is a taller seat than stock to help you stretch out a little further. You could also do some highway pegs off of the engine guard bar to get more leg room as well.

    • @chonasimpson6487

      My husband has the extended seat on our 2020 Roadmaster and he can flat foot any higher and he could not. He is a big man at 6ft 4 and 300 lbs. He has a long torso and short legs well not that short. He has a 34 inch inseam. If the seat is higher and wider so even on the standard seat short guys would have to tippy toe,

      My buddies first motorcycle was a Indian similar to this. He's 6 foot 10. Then he puts his boots on. Lol
      He got the extended reach seat. Some kind of forward control. Highway pegs and the 18 inch handle bar. The bike fit him great after that.

    Why Indian do not put imu 6 axes in all cruising/touring bike ?
    I m in error or just challenger and ftr have this technology?
    Come on if Harley can do this ....why not Indian ? 😳😒

    • @indianmotorcycleofdesmoine326
      @indianmotorcycleofdesmoine326  3 роки тому

      Sorry for the delay. The 6 axis IMU comes in the Challenger Limited/Dark Horse and FTR. Honestly it would be money wasted in the other cruisers. You can not get the lean angles on most cruiser models to take advantage of a 6 axis IMU unless you are raising the back end and racing at Laguna. Hope this helps.
