I truly appreciate build videos like yours. Helps all of us to be better modelers.
Thank you for the kind words Anthony. It’s why I started this channel years ago to share my work and to help others
I just got one of these finally and I was super impressed!
Traditionally I'm very wary of Airfix kits, but this one is SUPURB!🤗
I hope you enjoy it mate.
what brand do you normally get?
@@kylelindberg7771 Tamiya, Hasegawa often but Eduard is my current favorite... Airfix has been spending on new toolings & most important they are marketing better in the USA than previously...
Absolute stunner . Was fascinated by the coloured pencils. Must give that a go
Cheers Mark. If you do try you can always remove any marks with just water or blend them with water they are really safe to use and really versatile.
Mate, absolutely knocked this build completely out the park, excellent job start to finish. Could not fault one thing. Top build sir👍🤓😉
Thanks Dave really appreciate it
@@Mymodellingworld very welcome mate, cracking job. Loved the video🤓😉👍
That is GREAT attention to detail and building skills. Awesome vid mate :)
Thank you Ross and thanks for taking the time to watch
Fantastic! Excellent work Nigel!
Cheers mate really appreciate it.
Excellent build Nigel 👍
Cheers mate
Great vid, I will have to try out the use of gel pens. Very nice end result. I love the tonal variation and the mix of media and techniques. Great looking P40
Thank you mate really appreciate it.
Nice work Nige 👍
Thanks Ian mate.
Freaking brilliant Nige!!!
Cheers Mike.
I’m definitely going to have to try the marmite chipping technique!
I like it I have some control over it. Thanks for stopping by.
I guess marmite does have a purpose. Who would have thunk it.
Great build.
Cheers Robert. The marmite isn’t my idea but I love how it works.
An informative video with plenty of great tips. I'm interested in knowing who made the stencils.
Thank you. The company is called the Crafting well the website link is in the description but you should be able to google it too.
Great video and lots of great tips there, would be nice to know how you did the oil stains and exhaust stains on the under carriage
Thanks Bernard. I’m planning to show case that more on my next video as I try to show something different on each one so fingers crossed it will come up soon.
Hmmmmm... Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice!
Thanks mate.
Niceee 👌!!!
Cheers
Looking good. How do you like the aqueous paints?
Looking for something to use indoors without stinking up the house.
Thanks. I find the really easy to use they are really hard wareing with very little smell I use them in a small area fine. They last quite a while per bottle as they needed thinning. One thing those is to allow each layer to dry to stop the egg shell effect.
That same kit at a hobby lobby is 6 bucks.
For a 1/48 kit? If so that’s well worth it

Oh hell yeah. If I was any good at building aircraft I'd been all over it. They had others to but that one caught my eye. You have a great build going on there 👍
Cheers Clayton. At that price it would be a good one to practice on 😉
@@Mymodellingworld sometimes you can catch them on sale and reduced. I grabbed a 1:48 airfix P51 mustang the retail was $30.00 USD but I got it for $7.00 USD
