Tom casually walking into the frame and calling an Osprey pack "lil baby" is the kind of new Pack Hacker energy we need
😂😂😂
Hahaha I agree
Thanks for including a non Apple option
On another video, I commented that as I got older I was shifting to a roller, and someone from PH replied. On my last trip, I took a small but checked-in roller, and a book bag. Going forward, I'm just using the book bag and a small (like 1.5L) waist pack for in-flight things/money. The book bag would even fit under the seat (overheads were full). I'm sorry I strayed! Please take me back!
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
That sliding sternum strap is pretty clever.
Great job, Tom. Thanks for all the awesome travel tips.
Sure thing!
I got the Fairview then got the day pack in a different color. Will be trying the combo out later this month...
The daypack… you guys didn’t show that or talk about it at all???
Im a truck driver and i like to go on vacation once a year. I just ordered the 55L for a upcoming cruise in june to norway. I have old suitcases that i just dont want anymore...i though this would be a good fit since its a two in 1 and i could also use to pack clothing when i take time off work for a few days
Watch out for those hostile shower rods. Eek 😂
Would the 55L be too big to be a "carry-on" backpack for planes?
Another great video packed (pun intended) with info! Question: Does the fully loaded Osprey Farpoint 55 (with the daypack attached “baby koala style”) conform to carry-on baggage size restrictions?
Exactly
If the included osprey daypack was a better hiking bag it would be a no brainer, but it lacks the hip straps that the daylite plus has...
Any options for a minimum wallet with coin space?
Does the 55 fit in the over head, once day pack is removed?
On most planes, yes. I have the 40L Fairview and my partner has the 40L Farpoint. I would recommend boarding the plane earlier than later, because when the over head compartment was quite full, my bag didn't fit bottom in first, it only fit side in first, and so I had to put it down 10 rows down because I came a lot later, due to the compartment being quite full already!
I have the osprey farpoint backpack and the system is great but my only issue is with the day pack. The water bottle pockets SUCK! The elastic isn't tight enough so my bottle is constantly falling out. I have a big 1L bottle as well and it still isn't tight enough to hold it in. I'm sure a small bottle would fall out even more easily.
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
I wish Stanley or someone woulld make a double walled bottle that also hsd the outer wall be able to screw off from the main part so you could boil water in it if you needed to!
🤙🤙🤙
Unfortunately that wouldn’t work because the insulation relies on a vacuum between the layers.
FYI. The affiliate link to check price of the MODL is broken.
Thanks! Working on it 🤙
yeah its no way you can put all the filing gear and the things you need in that pack...i can, but im an amatoer...so lets see what you take when you use filming too..
