Is there a specific dual OB2 connector that will power both this unit and dash cam at the same time. I’ve been finding adaptors however non seems to power both devices at the same time?
Thank you for the instructions on the C500. I don't know if I chose it after watching this, or I found this while I was waiting for my HUD to be delivered. I couldn't understand the printed instructions which looked like it was in German, so this video was super helpful.
Hello, I have the same HUD C500, I plugged it into the 2008 is250 obd interface, started the car, I saw a large number of fault lights on the dashboard, I plugged it into the 2017 crv obd interface, started the car, there was no fault code on the dashboard, but the HUD speedometer It doesn't work, I want to ask what's going on?
Decent review. I like this one better than most, having it's own screen is a better idea than sticking crap on your windshield that eventually gets scratched from cleaning and probably doesn't switch well between vehicles if you want to move it. I already have an accurate speedo and a GPS so I don't need speed and I sure don't need speed warnings because I already know when I'm breaking the speed limit. I want engine info, especially temp since the car doesn't have a reliable gauge.
I have a small HUD with the rpm shown as numbers with an accurate number by number reading and it's awesome. The rpm numbers shown in the video is skipping so it's not good to look at.
My car is a Nissan Sunny (Sentra) YOM:2000. Data doesn’t show up in my hud. Only the Power supply. I checked with a electrician he told me to get the pin data of the obd2. Could you please provide it
I bought this same item for speeding when I drive 15 mile per hour the machine showed me 10 mile per hour I put it on mile system aswell wich is 5 mile different can u tell me how to adjust it? Thank you
@@shubhamsoni3298 The screen powered off within a minute I think after switching the car off. I suppose it depends on how much power your car provides your OBDII port. If you were to leave the car for more than two weeks, you might want to unplug anything that could drain the battery.
Any OBD-II device presents a major problem for my 2015 Ford Focus SE Hatchback. I have to pull down a rectangular hatch to access the OBD-ii port. After I connect a device, I can't close the hatch; it hangs down, and I have to be very careful entering and exiting the car. I'm not about to break the hatch.
Use a hole saw to put an inconspicuous hole on the underside of the dash to plumb the connector through. Just be very careful to not go so deep that you damage something behind this access hole you are making. This is a very common technique used in big trucks in order to connect elog devices. With proper care it is not a big deal and no one is going to care about an inconspicuous hole.
My understanding is that this unit, and indeed all HUD units that reads the speed via OBD2, is not as "correct" as GPS based units. So it's good in that is should "match" the dashboard, but not "true" speed.
Hey man, thanks for taking the time to do this video-- you probably saved me from getting a headache with the bunch of features. Thanks again.
Enjoyed Video - Thank You for being so Thorough in your descriptions!

Wait.. long press switches it to Menu mode. So it does not allow changing time :-(

You can use the T900 model which uses an embedded GPS instead of ODB.
