This album was in my cd player when my stepdad died suddenly. I couldn't listen to the radio for weeks because every song seemed to upset me or be maddeningly cheerful (it was high summer), so one day I pressed play to listen to whatever I'd left in the cd player, and it was this album. The subject matter just fit perfectly and I listened to it a lot. This song still takes me right back there and brings me to tears, but in a cathartic way.
+Violet Silver Sorry to hear Violet. The album was the band's first after the drummer Jon Lee committed suicide if you didn't know so loss is a central theme to the album.
Violet Silver no..just read about it...i was shocked actually...thought he just really liked pets..at least it was just a baby gerbil..u can take comfort in that. Unfortunately, he is not eligible for organ donation- - the gerbil tested positive for some debilitating diseases...such a shame
Mike Conville I'm going to leave this conversation because UA-cam arguments are something I've never been interested in. I'm glad you have such a fulfilling life, sitting behind a screen and being a troll. You must be very proud of yourself. Go you!
Violet Silver im not arguing...just observing a made a comment on a situation. ..a gerbil is nothing to run from...i mean its dead..hes dead..the filth is gone...toodles
Please remember Jon Lee ! He was the greatest rock drummer & great writer & a great man ! Please don't believe what they reported ragarding his suicide ! He never slapped his wife or a woman ! NEVER !
Jon Lee originally wrote this & the most ! Many don't know this ! But ,it's about the time for people to know ! I miss Jon ! Please remember Jon Lee !!!
Please remember Jon Lee ! He was not only the greatest rock drummer ,but a great song writer ! He wrote this song originally ! But Grant always took the credits as Jon let him ! Grant was Jon's hero !
Please remember Jon Lee ! The greatest rock drummer & a great song writer as well ! Many don't know this ! He was the sweetest man I've ever known ! A real great guy ! A true friend of mine . My soulmate forever .
Grant claims the credits ,but almost all were originally written by Jon Lee & someone else .I can't tell you more .But Jon let Grant take the credits & sat back quietly behind his drum kit ! As Grant was his hero ! Jon was not only the greatest rock drummer ,but a truly gifted writer as well ! And a real FABULOUS person ! A true GEM in the cruel corrupred music / entertainment business !
feeder play againi know you guys broke up or not but play in concerts i dont care about what peps say about this this heals me radios play this all day
It's really weird to go straight from 'High' to this and see how much they changed, their style, their themes, their music videos and their appearance. Good in both, but getting better with age :)
@VladGLX Yeah, but at the same time I find that the vast majority of people I talk to haven't heard of them - although most of my friends like them now, it took a while but I convinced them :D - and in terms of youtube views and facebook likes they're only moderately well known. I know these aren't the best things to judge them by, but they definately count too.

Mike Conville So he did! Wow, how did you know? I bet you're the one that put it there aren't you? You seem the type.

What a song, what an album. Feeder are a brilliant band.
Gareth Savage
One of the best songs ever made! Pure british gold! Right up there with the stunning Embrace "Nature´s Law"!
Great melody in a great song off a brilliant album.
Gotta be one of the most under-rated bands out there.
One of the best bands to come out of Britain in my opinion!
Great tune.
Brilliant song! Brings back nothing but good memories of a time long gone
Superb band. I saw them in Sheffield last year at the O2 Academy - outstanding. Great song and great video.
Feeder have to be the most underrated band to ever come out of Britain. Everytime I hear one of their songs its stops me in my tracks. Amazing song!
Please remember Jon Lee ! He was the greatest rock drummer & great writer & a great man ! Please don't believe what they reported ragarding his suicide ! He never slapped his wife or a woman ! NEVER !
Saw them tonight and was pretty impressed. I was working mind you but could still hear them none the less. This is a great track.
Grant Nicholas is a wonderful lyricist. It seems like there is real attention to detail in everything he produces. Long live FEEDER.
Jon Lee originally wrote this & the most ! Many don't know this ! But ,it's about the time for people to know ! I miss Jon ! Please remember Jon Lee !!!
Heard/saw this live in 2004 at V Festival, Chelmsford - it was a beautiful evening anyway and hearing this made it a perfect day.

Keep producing, cause I know I'm buying.

Jon Lee wrote this really.

Grant claims the credits ,but almost all were originally written by Jon Lee & someone else .I can't tell you more .But Jon let Grant take the credits & sat back quietly behind his drum kit ! you're so true about that!
Love feeder Alan Collins
it also makes me feel invincible
Good song
@NoisyHorseHD Yep, same reason they're not on Spotify, they just haven't sold the rights I think
Feeder = Awesome
U2 = Divine
Feeder + U2 = God
Love their music, but their music videos could be a bit better xD, still I'm glad to see there is one.
You should listen to 3 Colours Red "Beautiful Day" here on UA-cam! An absolutely stunningly beautiful song on par with this! Another british classic!
the sand area is Camber sands in east sussex, close to me :)
One of the most beautiful songs ever made
together with "Fake Plastic Trees" by
Radiohead and "Nature´s Law" by
Embrace!
Rule Britannia!
100,000+ views, thats almost an insult to this song; it should have 10 times that!
RIP Jon. 10 years ago today. :(
This song was originally written by Jon ! Many don't know that he was both ther heart & head of their music !
i love his voice at 2:01
@GibberingTool hahaha nice one!
@SQUIDGYSAUSAGE I think it's because FEEDER don't allow people to buy songs on iTunes... I don't know.

@VladGLX Yeah, but at the same time I find that the vast majority of people I talk to haven't heard of them - although most of my friends like them now, it took a while but I convinced them :D - and in terms of youtube views and facebook likes they're only moderately well known.
