Do people realise how tragic and deep this story really is. A fued between families. The mother was disowned by her family for loving someone. Then she dies. The grandfather's last moment with her was hatred and then he learns his daughter died. Granny hid that their mother was a pear, as if it was a disgrace. Applejack and the others growing up in lies. It's like they are bastards or something (even though their parents were married)
Indeed. Romeo and Juliet was tragic, but if you actually look at the story objectively, it is not that impressive or really even tragic outside of the loss of life. They were both teenagers, had known each other for only a few days and barely had enough time to call what existed between them a hormones-induced crush before they each rashly killed themselves. What happened to them was self-inflicted. What happened to Pear and Bright was forced upon them after years of repression.
I see you were also upset by the lack of explanation for their death. It bothers me too, honestly, but I respect that they chose not to for some reason. I just hope that with the epic level of continuity we're getting this season, that we will get additional callbacks to this in the future with additional hints and stuff. Anyway, liquid pride man, liquid pride. I think it hit everyone a differently, but it was quite emotional for all us.
can not agree more man :D nice to see you under one of my Videos haha soooo whats happenin? You gonna change your name ? :PPPP hahaha now it probably should be ApplePearGeek xDD JK
The topic of death is just a little dark for a TV-Y7 show originally meant for young girls. However, death might be a topic for season 9 or 10 with the topics we're getting with season 8. It'll be a topic that's very hard to do without being completely dark. One that requires more than two writers for idea bouncing.
Well the episode was just about the tale of their love story, just the love story. It wasn't a quest to find out how they passed away, plus didn't seem like it would add anything to the story or have reason to be included, at least how I see it. So I was perfectly satisfied with the ending and everything in it.
If you think about it. Buttercup's father never got the chance to say he is sorry... And to think he would just wanted to stay in Ponyvile without telling he is their grandfather makes it even worse. I liked it was left for the interpretation.
I don't think he ever got to see his daughter ever again. He disowned his only child over a feud about produce. And now he has to live with that for the rest of his life. Unless the show wants to do something out of left field and tell us there alive somewhere and we just never see them. I'd be pissed if that was the case.
Pelcogo, Well yeah. >"He disowned his only child over a feud about produce." And that is his last memory of her. Disowning her; we don't know if this was his only daughter, since as we know farm ponies breed like rabbits.
ljuc He was probably too guilty to tell them. He tried to pretty much stop them from being born. Not facing your demons seems a lot more appealing than dealing with them.
Not only did they say they left something to remember them by, but they were constantly using the past tense. If that doesn't confirm it, I don't know what does!
7:38 for all those confused as to why Bright Macintosh and Pear Butter are able to talk despite being babies at this point I refer you to Rugrats and Arthur logic where the babies speak their own language that only they can understand.
The Perfect Episode, the episode that had me crying like a little bitch... Full on sobbing liquid pride. This episode came out three days after father's day and hit me harder than anything in the series. This is tied with Crusaders of the Lost Mark which is only a very tiny percentage better than this episode. You have forcibly ripped my heart out of my chest and blenderized it.
I'm fine with not knowing the fate of Pear Butter/Bright Mac in one episode. Leaves their story open ended. And it doesn't mean we can't come back to this eventually (if Hasbro/DHX chooses to or not is another situation)
This one changed my Top 5 of the whole series. So deep, made me cry. There is the hope, that we will be told what happened to them one day. Nice react as always! We have to drink a Beer at Nestor after Galacon. 😜
Here's my thoughts on the ending. the show writers know we make fan fiction, so instead of risking making an episode that didn't meat our expectations, they told the beginning of one perfectly. knowing that we have much more freedom and aren't constrained by episode length, and because of that we as fans can do it justice. But that's just my opinion.
NerfStrangerX Hey Nerfy, this is my first time watching one of your videos, and have to say, I loved this video. And I was crying like you were at the song and the flashbacks. This was indeed, the Perfect episode. And this is by far the GREATEST My Little Pony episode of the show.
Fitting, as William Shatner had a falling out with some of the TOS cast and never got to reconcile. So when you hear Grand Pear say those lines, William Shatner is saying them from the bottom of his heart.
By the way i understand why they haven't talk about their death. That's still a show for children, i'm not sure if any kids will want to see nice characters, parents, dying :/ That's pretty hard.
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhm xD look at almost every Disney Movie haha MANY MANY Characters died throughout the years in Kids Movies and shows xDD sooooo i dont think it would be so bad
You know how children are attracted to people who remind them of their parents. I'm pretty sure that's what they did here with Sugarbelle looking like Buttercup. Pretty clever in my opinion.
I think they wanted to do a heartwarming episode about their parents, without leaving on kind of a dark note. Besides, I think it would have been too much info for one episode to tell it beautifully.
About the parent's death: It's still unclear if they were KIA or are MIA (killed or missing in action). If they are KIA then their story has ended. If they are MIA (for example: after a sinking ship incident) and are just declared as dead afterwards there would be a small chance that they are still alive somewhere (imprisoned, without memories, cursed, whatever...) since their corpses were never found.
I'm repeating this for several years since: it was never said for certain in the show that they're dead. The exact wording is that they "aren't there" from some reasons. Which can mean anything. They can be on a very long trip or some secret mission abroad. They could have been forced to leave Ponyville because of the feud, or some other reasons. Heck, they can even be in Celestia's dungeon for avoiding taxes :q (just kidding ;J ) And unless I hear exactly that they are dead, spoken by some character in the actual show (and not just some staff member - because even if they think they're dead, they might be wrong, or the writers can decide one day that they really aren't), I'll keep the possibilities open.
Wew, the first time I saw this it didn't really have an effect on me, seeing as I had never been too interested in AJ's parents, but with every subsequent watch it hits me harder and harder. The worst (best) part is the very end when the melody from Buttercup's song plays while the camera pans out. That moment really makes it all come together, the picture of those two ponies from the past with their happy story that had played out and ended, and both their legacy and a few of the ones that knew them standing there looking on. Quite similar to the very end of "Amending Fences" with the somewhat nostalgic-sounding music accompanying a camera pan, and THAT part always kinda gets me too, maybe this is just my very specific cup of tea XD Oh, and another favorite moment was during the song, the "long-distance dance" thing. I think that one hit me even on the first watch, but not as strongly as the end does now. Edit: actually, turns out that when they go back to Shatner and he apologizes, that was so brilliantly acted that it also hits really hard. I just hadn't noticed earlier because when I start choking up I usually just chuckle forcibly and it passes.
Since Grand Pear is with the Apple Family now, and Granny Smith is finally open to talk about AJ's parents---- maybe there will be a future episode later on explaining what happened to the parents?
i saw this on another video and one comment said that the apple family family tree said 'Pear' and pinkie pie read it as 'Pie' because it was smugded a bit.
I like how the apples gasp when they found out there mom had to move. That's the looks that says but if are parents don't get together we'll never be born. We got to do something."
You would think that Applejack and Big mac would at least know their parents, seeing how they are much older than Applebloom, whom had to have been born before they "died."
If its true that Bright Mac and Pear Butter passed away, then Grand Pear never got to reconcile with his daughter, and that will be a heavy burden on a father who regrets disowning his own child, never being there for the growth of his grandchildren, which is really sad. Although, they died, their "spirits" live in AJ, Applebloom and Big Mac, which gives forgiveness for Grand Pear.
I know mlp is growing about the fact of not beign just a kids show. But its steel that, half of the audience must be kids, so it would be really hard to show a dead for children
Lauren Faust said:To put it bluntly, we just never figured it out. I just liked the feeling of them living with their Granny, but keeping the family dynamic tight and small. To be honest, I would like to simply say that they passed away somehow, but it's just too sad for a kids' show and I don't think it would have ever been approved. There was brief discussion of them being traveling salesponies or explorers, but since we never needed the information in an episode, nothing was ever made official. So it will have to remain a mystery until someone decides to define it. so maybe we'll get another episode about their parents.
As great as this reaction is, what I really want is a reaction from someone who literally didn't see this episode coming... Even the hype behind the episode was enough to give it away without any word, since there aren't a whole lot of other "we've been waiting for this since the early days of the show" things to get hyped about.
weeeelll they did obvious forshadowing and SAID they would do something SOMEday sooo and with the hype and the spoilers everywhere . . . good luck finding someone so blind
I have to say that this is the closest we will ever get from an outright conformation that the parents are no longer around. It is possible to wright a story about loss without using the forbidden D Words. I think the writers know that episode would have to be at least a two part episode and must come out on mother's day or father's day. but when they do that's going be the riskiest episode ever. I have a feeling the fandom won't settle for a 22 minute story. 44, 66 minutes they would.
Love is never too young. I "dated" girls when I was a brat. And while it's not the same thing as we think of as when we're adults, it was ... special. You just reconsider what love is over the years :) Let the brats enjoy it, hehe. It gets complicated enough later on xD
My new top five: 1. The Perfect Pear 2. Crusaders of the Lost Mark 3. A Royal Problem 4. Amending Fences 5. Pinkie Pride (I originally had A Royal Problem behind Amending Fences, but I eventually found A Royal Problem way more entertaining, jaw-dropping, and enjoyable.) This episode is my new best of the entire series. Season 7 is quickly becoming my favorite season.
I'm content with not knowing exactly how Bright Mac and Pear Butter left the world, nothing wrong with an open ending. But, I do wonder about Granny Smith's husband and Grand Pear's wife. Also, I anticipate fan art of Grand Pear visiting his daughter's grave.
awe u cried ^^ i also cried... this episode was fucking amazing ! these were the writers of a royal problem... they should write every episode from now on xD
of course i did :D i read all my comments ^^ and reply to most of 'em hmmmm Man 6 rating lemme think Twilight Starlight Rarity, Sunset AJ, Rainbow, Fluttershy (all same) Pinkie
Ah so happy you love it! This episode made me cry as well! It's so cute but bittersweet . The parents are literally so cute & cute together ! They became my new fave parents from the main 6 / couple of all time even if now they are "Gone" they are still the cutest thing ever ahhh!!! 😭😭🍎🍐😍😍💕
I don't know why you're complaining about the story of their parents not ending. Don't you want to keep it open so they could explore more parts of it in the future?
But it wasn't really a question of taste though. I wanted to know if you wanted this story arc to begin and end within this single episode, or if you wanted it to continue in the future.
I only want them to finally say it. The show has already confirmed that funerals exist, so why not just say it? It wouldnt ruin young children forever to know that people die. Theyre never gonna do it though.
LordDemitel I see that the show's Y rating eludes you about as much as the little things the people behind the show add in that eludes the censorship police
The Y rating doesnt elude me. I think its stupid that death cant be mentioned with a Y rating. Death should be discussed with children as early as possible.
This is the first time I'm watching Nerfy and I have his same facial expression at 15:38. I am crying at the song. I mean "Your in my head like a catchy song", is the best song in the show, in my opinion. I'm CRYING DAMNIT
8:30 I think you had a miniature stroke at this point. 9:35 I think you're thinking of Sam Elliot Also I'm very greatful that they did *NOT* even allude to how and when they died, because I believe it was much more important for us to know who they were rather than just how they died.
I agree with you. Yes, it is a romeo and julliet story. But it's so much more than that! We don't need to know how they died. Just knowing like this is good enough.
Hey Grey, nice to see you here. Yeah you are right. Whenever I think about my late grandma, I think about the good times we shared, rather than her death herself, even though I do think about her death on her anniversary.
Burnt Oak is a reference to Sam Elliot. There's even a .05 second cameo of The Dude pulling a cart of rugs when the Apples approach him; a reference to The Big Lebowski.
You must now I love the Romeo and Juliet Story and seeing a My Little Pony related Story makes me struggel to choose which one is my favorite Episode by now: A Royal Problem or The perfect Pear. Both Episode's were Fantastic and Emotional. For me At least, eveyone has another Opinion. ♥ By the way: Not that I'm sadistic but I loved seeing you sheding Tears, that's what a good Reaction is :D
Don't worry Nerfy. I cried so much I couldn't sleep at night. Kept thinking about the episode all the time. So far this is my favorite season 7 episode of all time. I thought A Royal Problem is my first but it is now my second favorite. Glad you did this reaction.
Did you notice you can sorta calculate their age thanks to Bright Mac? I thought that was pretty cool, for I always wondered if they were teens or adults or what :o
by the way, the trope "Shown Their Work" applies here: By law, it is required of private weddings that two witnesses be present to validate the marriage, which is fulfilled by Burnt Oak and Chiffon Swirl/Mrs. Cake.
damn I gotta say that this episode was very emotional even for me because usually in my family they all know me as tough one that hardly ever crys but this one really touched my heart
I seriously doubt they'll ever go into detail what happened to their parents in the show. The creators already confirmed they died and considering how much they loved each other I'm guessing there was some kind of horrible accident or terminal disease which again they will most likely never address in a show for kids.
First Rainbow Dash"s parents, then a Celestia/Luna episode, and now Applejack's parents? They sure are giving us a lot to chew on this season, and I love it:)
I think due to the rating, DHX will never fully be able to do that, because you can bet your bottom dollar that if they did mention death here directly, a bunch of parents will be mad and angry parents tend gain more attention than us Bronies.
uhm you've seen any recent disney movies xDD two hands wouldnt be NEARLY enough to count those deaths xDD haha and the rating is still 0 to 6 at max xDD
i was ready with a napkin to clear some tears. Stupid me i just had breakfast not so long and cleaned some hot peppers seeds that fallen on the table and left it near the clean one and at the moment of cleaing my tear i foolishly grab the other one. Myt eyes are burning with tears for this episode and spice of ppepers
As much as I love this episode, there was a few gaps that could have been filled in. One big part being "where did thier parents go." A question that could have easily been answered. Are thier parents dead? Are they missing? If they are dead how did they die. This was an episode with a lot of back story and maybe even a clue would make it much better. Not saying i hate this episode it was easily my favorite yet of season 7
Maybe it turns out that they where going to go on a trip past the everfree forest, and then maybe they got attacked by timberwolves, causing Granny to have to take care of the three fouls her son, and her daughter in law left behind. I mean it would make sense for them to be traveling a lot since Granny Smith has also done quite a bit of traveling in her younger days, and not to mention a lot of the apple family travels across the country just to celebrate a family reunion. So maybe it turns out that they where either going to visit somepony, or maybe they wanted to celebrate their anniversary, or even take a break from the farm lifestyle.
Your impressions from this episode will not be full without THIS comic: www.deviantart.com/art/The-Life-I-Never-Had-688426037 Everyone who saw this episode just *MUST TO READ* this comic. I can promise, you will not regret of reding it.
I am glad it didn't include their "ending" in this episode it would have been too much. I think they are leaving that to a future episode as Grandpear is now a resident of Ponyville it leaves open the possibility of them revisiting the tales of the Apples and Pears. Which I hope will be in season 8, and I hope, though I know it won't happen will span more than 1 episode as touching on the subject of a major death is something that has to be handled with extreme care. Also this episode builds our connection to the character so we don't want to see them die.
Well they can't really mention much of death in a Y7 kid show so that's why they probably didn't explain what happened to their parents, because they're obviously dead by the way they were talked about in this episode, and how Apple Bloom said "They left us something to remember them by"
I think we were all semi-pissed about this ending, but let's be honest, do you really think Hasbro would let DHX depict this story exactly the way we wanted it? I think it's amazing we even got what we got, honestly.
By chapters like these, you think if really, the context of the episodes are for children. Please, love at first sight, family conflicts and above all very pure romance. Seventh season a gift for the fandom; D
When you see nerfy crying in the thumbnail you know this episode is gonna be good xD
hahahahah yesss xD thx m8
NerfStrangerX I cried a lot too ',-',
All I could think is. "that is going to be SO many reactors faces when they get to this."
same I'm still waiting on blank slate and cobaltsky to react cant wat for their reactions lol gonna be so good
What's a thumbnail? 😐

i totally have to agrree m8!!
I'm not disagreeing with you in anyway but I take you've never read/seen Romeo and Juliet.
DoubleD Demps But that took place in a span of a few days.
Family feuds are always dumb
Indeed. Romeo and Juliet was tragic, but if you actually look at the story objectively, it is not that impressive or really even tragic outside of the loss of life. The topic of death is just a little dark for a TV-Y7 show originally meant for young girls.

Bright Macintosh: Poison himself
Pear Butter: Stabbed by Dagger
Just kidding.....for real though hopefully they showed in an episode what happened...

New my little pony s7 episode : check

Okay I'm ready
You madman, you forgot your extra EXTRA box of tissues!
The Perfect Episode, the episode that had me crying like a little bitch... Full on sobbing liquid pride. This is tied with Crusaders of the Lost Mark which is only a very tiny percentage better than this episode. You have forcibly ripped my heart out of my chest and blenderized it.
I'm really looking forward to seeing your reaction of this episode.
There is no such thing as "crying as a little b***h okay? STOP. REAL MEN cry. FAKE MEN never cry, and will die with no feelings.
EXACLY!!!! hahah but still xD i can see where and why it gets you so hard xD sadly it didnt affect me nearly as hard haha
BigHunTraps PREACH! I'm a 19 year old lesbian girl, but I agree ! Real men cry! Even tho you're tough, it shows you have feelings & care ! 👏🏻🙌🏻
That is right
Lies down
Tries not to cry
Cries a lot
I'm fine with not knowing the fate of Pear Butter/Bright Mac in one episode. Leaves their story open ended. And it doesn't mean we can't come back to this eventually (if Hasbro/DHX chooses to or not is another situation)
Raymond Gallant they're dead. I believe this has been confirmed.
Though they have passed in the end I still like the open end :D
Maybe another heart wrenching episode hehe
They're dead.
The part where Big Mac asks if he can come back for more stories implies we'll have more episodes about their parents, likely how they die too.
it COULD be forshadowing yes
and i hope so
bu its also could not xD
season 7 has the best episode out of all the other seasons so far
ELEMENTROID i definetly see where you're comming from :3 but thats still opinion based ^^
This one changed my Top 5 of the whole series. So deep, made me cry. There is the hope, that we will be told what happened to them one day.
Nice react as always! We have to drink a Beer at Nestor after Galacon. 😜
Sure :D buuuuut ill take a Cocktail instead of a beer xDD dont like beer haha
That's ok, even if you want a Weihenstephan Choco 😂
I'm so happy that you missed my comment in the Podcast yesterday. I didn't want to spoil you.
NerfStrangerX Everything is opinion based.
Here's my thoughts on the ending. the show writers know we make fan fiction, so instead of risking making an episode that didn't meat our expectations, they told the beginning of one perfectly. knowing that we have much more freedom and aren't constrained by episode length, and because of that we as fans can do it justice. Watched it alone and i didn't cry, now i'm watching your reaction AND I'M CRYING LIKE A BABY. You are too powerfull.
hahaha so sweet
NerfStrangerX Hey Nerfy, this is my first time watching one of your videos, and have to say, I loved this video. And I was crying like you were at the song and the flashbacks. This was indeed, the Perfect episode. And this is by far the GREATEST My Little Pony episode of the show.
This season already has 4 episodes that many may put on their favourites list.
haha true xDD
What are the episodes if i may ask?
Some say They died saving the farm from a sweet apple acres flood. Alluded to vaguely in "where the apple lies' and a few brony conventions...
Grand Pear was voiced by William Shatner, if you didn't already know.
Ipon _ And Pear Butter was voiced by Felicia Day.
WOW! I didn't even catch it! I knew he was rumored to be in an upcoming episode, but had forgotten about it!
YESSSSS!!! sooo cool :D
Fitting, as William Shatner had a falling out with some of the TOS cast and never got to reconcile.
So when you hear Grand Pear say those lines, William Shatner is saying them from the bottom of his heart.
So the last time Grand pear see his daughter is during the wedding.
Relic Zach they didn't lied they just never told
Mika Houdefauvel It's a lie of omission.
I still cant get over how sad this episode was! It was so nice to finally find out about the parents!!
I don't think many people realize that the tree at the end is a result of Bright Mac and Buttercups planet seeds from their wedding :')
Yeah haven't think about it .c.
Yeah, kids are stupid.
You know how children are attracted to people who remind them of their parents. I'm pretty sure that's what they did here with Sugarbelle looking like Buttercup. Pretty clever in my opinion.

hmmmmmmm very interesting train of thoughts ;3
very interesting

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that they're dead.
Bon Bon I'm sorry, I feel like a show like this isn't allowed to say the word "death" or "dead" so that confirmation will never come

Since Grand Pear is with the Apple Family now, and Granny Smith is finally open to talk about AJ's parents---- maybe there will be a future episode later on explaining what happened to the parents?
The brony hasn't been made that can see this episode without shedding a tear.
I balled like a baby! like I could watch it 3 million times and cry every time!!!
This episode still hits me everytime I watch a reaction video of it the show really wants us to shed a tear ;w;
i saw this on another video and one comment said that the apple family family tree said 'Pear' and pinkie pie read it as 'Pie' because it was smugded a bit.
I just now realized! Grand Pear's name is a reference to Grand-Père, the French word for Grandfather.
I like how the apples gasp when they found out there mom had to move. That's the looks that says but if are parents don't get together we'll never be born. We got to do something."
You would think that Applejack and Big mac would at least know their parents, seeing how they are much older than Applebloom, whom had to have been born before they "died."
to lighten up the mood it was really aPEARent that this is the new favorite episode in the brony fandom

There was brief discussion of them being traveling salesponies or explorers, but since we never needed the information in an episode, nothing was ever made official. So it will have to remain a mystery until someone decides to define it. so maybe we'll get another episode about their parents.
ok good to know
Aw... AJ wears her daddy's hat. Also hope Gran Pear moving to Ponyville means that Shatner will be reoccurring.
As great as this reaction is, what I really want is a reaction from someone who literally didn't see this episode coming... Even the hype behind the episode was enough to give it away without any word, since there aren't a whole lot of other "we've been waiting for this since the early days of the show" things to get hyped about.
weeeelll they did obvious forshadowing and SAID they would do something SOMEday
sooo and with the hype and the spoilers everywhere . . . good luck finding someone so blind
This episode takes your heart and slowly rips it in two.
When I first saw the video, i didn't cry. See him react cryed alot
awwwwwwwwwwwww
this is the first mlp episode that actually made me cry! when i saw that tree at the end, i literally bawled like a baby!
what's really sad is that their mother died thinking that her father was still mad at her for marrying an apple.
Love is never too young. I "dated" girls when I was a brat. And while it's not the same thing as we think of as when we're adults, it was ... special. You just reconsider what love is over the years :) Let the brats enjoy it, hehe. It gets complicated enough later on xD
uuuuhm but im pretty sure you didnt 'date' any girls or whatsoever when you were an infant xDD
which they clearly were in that scene haha
This episode could not have been anymore perfect.
thats up for everyones opinions and personal tastes i think ^^
watching this episode again made me cry even more than when I first watched it
My new top five:
1. The Perfect Pear
2. Crusaders of the Lost Mark
3. A Royal Problem
4. Amending Fences
5. Pinkie Pride
(I originally had A Royal Problem behind Amending Fences, but I eventually found A Royal Problem way more entertaining, jaw-dropping, and enjoyable.)
This episode is my new best of the entire series.
The episode we all wanted to see but were never ready for.
Everytime something sweet/cute happens I yell "STAY STRONG NERFY, SSSTTTAAAAYYYY SSSSTTTTRRRROOOONNNNGGG!!!! "
its 'Nerfy' please hahaha not Nefy hahah
NerfStrangerX lol sorry mate spelling error 😂
“Five exclamation marks, the sure sign of an insane mind.”― Terry Pratchett,(Reaper Man)
What’s really sad is that Pear Butter’s last memory of her father was him disowning her at her own wedding.
awe u cried ^^
i also cried... this episode was fucking amazing ! these were the writers of a royal problem... they should write every episode from now on xD
YEEEES i TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY agree :D

That song sounds like it could be on the radio AND NO ONE WOULD OF GUESSED IT WAS FROM THIS SHOW
It's that good
This episode will go down in history as one of the best episodes in the series
Ah so happy you love it! This episode made me cry as well! It's so cute but bittersweet . The parents are literally so cute & cute together ! They became my new fave parents from the main 6 / couple of all time even if now they are "Gone" they are still the cutest thing ever ahhh!!! 😭😭🍎🍐😍😍💕
haha yeees ^^^
I don't know why you're complaining about the story of their parents not ending. Don't you want to keep it open so they could explore more parts of it in the future?
hey personal tastes xDD
Pear Butter Is so Freaking pretty! And The song in this episode was AMAZING
This is the first time I'm watching Nerfy and I have his same facial expression at 15:38. I am crying at the song. I mean "Your in my head like a catchy song", is the best song in the show, in my opinion. I'm CRYING DAMNIT
cutest Episode ever
jup
1:55 I love this random expository pony in the beginning
8:30 I think you had a miniature stroke at this point.
9:35 I think you're thinking of Sam Elliot
Also I'm very greatful that they did *NOT* even allude to how and when they died, because I believe it was much more important for us to know who they were rather than just how they died.
I agree with you. Yes, it is a romeo and julliet story. But it's so much more than that! We don't need to know how they died. Just knowing like this is good enough.
he even sold some RUGS to the Big lebowsky pony at 9.20 :D
Hey Grey, nice to see you here. Yeah you are right. Whenever I think about my late grandma, I think about the good times we shared, rather than her death herself, even though I do think about her death on her anniversary.
Burnt Oak is a reference to Sam Elliot. There's even a .05 second cameo of The Dude pulling a cart of rugs when the Apples approach him; a reference to The Big Lebowski.
That was the most genuine reaction ever
You're best react channel now
aww im so glad you think so :DD
yeah i hate acted reactions too ^^
so happy you like my stuff that much
You must now I love the Romeo and Juliet Story and seeing a My Little Pony related Story makes me struggel to choose which one is my favorite Episode by now: A Royal Problem or The perfect Pear.
Both Episode's were Fantastic and Emotional.
For me At least, eveyone has another Opinion. ♥
By the way: Not that I'm sadistic but I loved seeing you sheding Tears, that's what a good Reaction is :D
haha no worries ^^ i totally understand what you mean ^^
emotional reacts are always the best ;3
Don't worry Nerfy. I cried so much I couldn't sleep at night. Kept thinking about the episode all the time. So far this is my favorite season 7 episode of all time. I thought A Royal Problem is my first but it is now my second favorite. Glad you did this reaction.
don't worry Nerf, at 18:27, my heart couldn't take it anymore and I was tearing up
Did you notice you can sorta calculate their age thanks to Bright Mac? I thought that was pretty cool, for I always wondered if they were teens or adults or what :o
I love this episode so much, I watched it just a few days ago. It's so beautiful.
Nice reaction! One of the best I’ve seen for this episode
I’m certain they’re fine with SugarBelle. The problem they had was that BrightMac was marrying a PEAR, what with the feud going on. That’s all.
This episode made me cry so much I'm like when is my love coming
by the way, the trope "Shown Their Work" applies here: By law, it is required of private weddings that two witnesses be present to validate the marriage, which is fulfilled by Burnt Oak and Chiffon Swirl/Mrs. Cake.
This one was the sadest and happyest mlp episod ever i cried my eyes out
damn I gotta say that this episode was very emotional even for me because usually in my family they all know me as tough one that hardly ever crys but this one really touched my heart
At the end of the episode the Sting song "Felds of Gold" came to mind.
I think it would be cool if there parents were found later and they had another baby possibly a brother?
And Applebloom would help him find his talent
but they are confirmed dead . . . so how would that be possible?
I think due to the rating, DHX will never fully be able to do that, because you can bet your bottom dollar that if they did mention death here directly, a bunch of parents will be mad and angry parents tend gain more attention than us Bronies.
uhm you've seen any recent disney movies xDD two hands wouldnt be NEARLY enough to count those deaths xDD
haha
and the rating is still 0 to 6 at max xDD
i was ready with a napkin to clear some tears.
Good episode. Only real problem I had with it was that some of the love talk felt a bit forced (e.g., the wedding scene and proposal)
One of the perfect episode. NO DOUBT! This season is AWESOME!
*5 down, 1 to go!
Also, fun fact: Felicia Day (VA for Pear Butter) is from my home city :3
cool :D
You're a sweet guy. I wish I could give you a huge hug. :3 Loved this episode and your reactions. :)
aaaaaaaaw and i would return that big hug
this episode hit me in the heart and i cried big time
It’s so sad man it always makes me cry i’m suprised Applejack or nobody else cried
They are dead... "left something to remember them by." "Would have been proud"
It's a child's show they aren't going to say they died out right.
Your impressions from this episode will not be full without THIS comic: www.deviantart.com/art/The-Life-I-Never-Had-688426037
Everyone who saw this episode just *MUST TO READ* this comic. I can promise, you will not regret of reding it.
you were so right ^^ fantastic comic haha made me tear up, as you might saw in my other video ;3 thx again for the recommendation
Haven't been on UA-cam in a while, but I'm back and I love your videos ! They're as great as I remember them to be!! Keep it up❤️❤️
awwww thats soooo sweet
I am glad it didn't include their "ending" in this episode it would have been too much. I think they are leaving that to a future episode as Grandpear is now a resident of Ponyville it leaves open the possibility of them revisiting the tales of the Apples and Pears. Which I hope will be in season 8, and I hope, though I know it won't happen will span more than 1 episode as touching on the subject of a major death is something that has to be handled with extreme care. Also this episode builds our connection to the character so we don't want to see them die.
The whole time I was saying, "Hold it together Nerf, it's gonna get worse and worse" xDD
Season 7 has the best episodes so far.
Seventh season a gift for the fandom; D
it's the first episode that makes me cried. I loved it 😍😭😍
I still want to know what happened to their parents... or how...
