Oh my gosh Christine! I'm watching this video, and Alex walks by RIGHT AT THE POINT where you say you haven't watched Star Wars. I have the volume on low, but somehow he heard it, stops in his tracks and just gawks. "She hasn't watched Star Wars?" I just laugh cause we just talked about this. Then he walks away and mutters "that's disgusting." HAHAHAHAHAHA!
polandbananas20 Star Wars is awesome, especially the Original Trilogy. it has the same ingredients like all your fave Dystopian and Fantasy novels. At least read some Star Wars novels or graphic novels because you're seriously missing out! I mean Episode VII comes out in Dec. 2015, now is a good time to watch the movies(and if you feel like it, you can watch the prequel trilogy, which I personally dont recommend)also, have you even seen the animated shows?

Heir of Fire was AMAZING!! Definitely one of my favourite books ever!! I didn't think I was going to like it as much, due to Celaena's separation from Chaol and Dorian, but WOW!! So incredible
SO MANY BOOKS TO READ. I still have to read all the books you ( Christine ) have gotten me excited about. But at the same time there are SO many books that I wanna read. Curse Goodreads and Barnes and Noble.
Great video Christine! Loved Angelfall and I'm so looking forward to World After. I finally began The Assassin's Blade. Definitely enjoying it and will be starting it soon.
Same. The more booktube videos I watch, the more motivated I am to read. But then I ended up watching more booktube videos instead of actually reading, and my tbr just gets longer lol. I feel so unproductive haha
Danica Beaulieu I literally just commented that it was on point and then i read this and realized that you had already said it so I PROMISE I DIDNT COPY ahha
Oh my gosh, the way you talk about the books you like makes me want to read pretty much all of them. You get so excited, and then I get so excited. You didn't even explain that much about the books, but now I want I read most, if not all, of them. Loved the video, obvi. Fyi, I have a bunch of sticky notes on my entertainment stand with books suggested by you. Lol
Just finished COHF and LOVEDD IT!😍 It was just such a perfect ending to the series imo and I have to admit I was an emotional wreck. Starting The Infernal Devices now (I know wrong order) and can't wait till the new series comes out! (Yes I realize I have a problem) 😂

You totally should continue with the Art of Seduction episodes, they're really funny and the last one made my day. Some of my all time fave books are on this list, I'm really gla you enjoyed them! Xoxo
Cinder sounds like something I would really like to get into. I didn't really read as much as I wanted to this year either.. :/ I did read like all of John Green's books for the first time this year though, which were amaze-balls! And I also went to a lot of writing conferences, which were really insightful and inspiring, and I wrote A LOT! I've almost got my first novel polished and ready, and I am SO EXCITED!!
Thank you! *goes to the bookstore and gets to buying* Now *build shelves* Then *makes a secret room* And then *has a secret room with only shelves and shelves of books*

I remember watching the first episode of the Art of Seduction months and months ago and LOVING it. I thought it was hilarious! I also adored the second one when you posted it. I really hope you continue on with it, especially if it's something you enjoy doing. :)
Favorites: 1) Just one day by Gayle Foreman 2) If I stay series 3) Anna and the French kiss By Stephanie Perkins 4) The boy next door by Huntley Fitzpatrick 5) Along for the ride by Sarah Dessen 6) Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell 7) Divergent by Veronica Roth 8) Sherlock Holmes by Sir Conan Doyle
Aw, Just One Day was my favorite book of last year, so I'm glad that made it to your list this year. I'm SO excited that it's going to be a movie!! I always thought it would make a better one than if I stay! Anyway, my fave this year was the entire PJO and Heroes of Olympus series. I read all 9 for the first time leading up to the release of Blood of Olympus and then I was in a 2 month reading slump after bc I didn't want to read anything that wasn't PJO related!! Out of them all, my favorites were probably Mark of Athena and The Last Olympian and The Titan's Curse!
I think this time of year we are all in a reading slump. I have Netflix to blame. As soon as I finish a series there is always ANOTHER one I have to watch
Also some of my favourites (basically all of them but yes) Looking for Alaska - John Green The Book Thief - Markus Zusak The Maze Runner - James Dashner Paper Towns - John Green The Hobbit - JRR Tolkien The Chronicles of Narnia - CS lewis
You inspired me to read!!! Thank you!!!!! Love the Infernal Devices series. Its the BEST!! How many books did you read in a year? And what is your goal?
I've already watched both episodes of TAOS but I just wanted to let you know that I love them so much! I was anticipating the second episode foreverrrr
Dat red lip doe, it's sooo good. Gonna have to agree with you on the Lunar Chronicles, also Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead was really fantastic and I am so sad Bloodlines is almost over. I went from not liking Sydney to her being one of my all time favorite characters. Daughter of Smoke and Bone series was also on my 2014 awesome list.
Omg, yes, I'm so glad that you loved Since You've Been Gone! It's one of my favorite contemporary book! I would love to see you do a book talk if you ever get the chance. :)
My two favorite books of 2014 would be To All The Boys I've Loved Before By Jenny Han and A Little Something Different (I fell in love with the cover) By Sandy Hall
dulce suarez OMG YES. REALLY? :O MAYBE JOSH? ;) NOT SURE THOUGH SUPER EXCITED! I HAVE A GOOD IMPRESSION OF JENNY HAN BECAUSE OF TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE! :D
im very surprised that Shatter Me didnt make it onto the list... I LOVED IT!! i FELL IN LOVE on the first day on the first paragraph and i have yet to read the rest of the series.
I absolutely enjoyed seeing what you loved reading this year, and I know what I should check out soon. In January it will be a year since I started watching BookTube and you were the first channel I found. You make awesome and entertaining videos, and I can't wait for the next episode of The Art of Seduction! I loved the intro to episode 2!
The thing is being a college student I have to get all my books from the library and it's very limited and I can't have the books for myself so it's very annoying
i have a strange relationship with books because i have to listen to them because i work full time and go to school. Here is my list for 2014: The Joe Ledger Series - has real heart. Did not see it coming White Trash Zombie Series - you empathize with a zombie! Royal Spyness series - my cure for every mourning period The Raven Cycle - Blows my mind every time Jane Yellowrock Series - Obsessed with this series Jane Jameson Series - mourned when it ended
Now, I'm only 13, so you might not find it as amazing as I did, but you should read 'Willow' by Julia Hoban. If you thought 'The Fault in our Stars' was bad, omg. Seriously, that book moved me.
Almost caught up on Cassandra Clare's books! Can't wait to get to City of Heavenly Fire. Started the series SIX YEARS AGO. I think its time to quit stalling, and face the inevitable heartbreak.
My favourites are literally anything that has been written, or probably anything that will ever be written by Wally Lamb.. He is truly gifted! I suggest you start off with "She's come Undone", and then read "I know this much is true" and from there on out.. that way you get a feel of what his material is really like (The full experience) but definitely "She's Come Undone" has to be the first thing you read hands down! :)
Christine! You must read The Morganville Vampires! They got me into reading two years ago and still one of my absolute favorites. I'd love to hear your opinion on them!
Yass. .I've read all of the shadowhunter related books and they are amazing! And the Lunar Chronicles are awesome too! Since You've Been Gone.. Oh my gawd.
Did you read Snow Like Ashes this year? (Also, when you go into the chipmunk voice, how are you doing that? Either you somehow speed it up while it still matches your lips... or you can really talk like that.)
I thought I was the only who had been in a reading slump for the past few months :( oh my god it's terrible, I think it's mostly because of school for me but I have like no motivation to read anything... :( But I'm participating in the Christmas booktube-a-thon and hopefully that will bring me out of it! :) My favourites this year were City of Heavenly Fire, We Were Liars, Love Letters to the Dead, To all the boys I've loved before, Anna and the French Kiss, 13 Reasons Why and the Shatter Me trilogy.
Thanks to you Christine i got into the Mortal Instruments (read 3 first ones) and The Infernal devices (read book 1), I'm getting the rest for Christmas :) And I just LOOOVE them
Have best reading slump breaker for you (Broke my slump at least!) "My True Love Gave to me" by Stephanie Perkins, the Christmas Short story collection packed full of cute!
Thank you for brightening my bleary day:) this video has been highly anticipated for me and it was amazing my tbr list is getting so long right now and I love your Taos videos and am looking forward to the next one:)
So I've seen Cinder so many times and like you didnt really think I would like it but you definitely sold me ! I feel like I have to go pick it up right now lol
MY TBR LIST: The Mortal Instruments The Lunar Trilogy (Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress) The Seletion Shatter Me Artemis Fowl Twilight Series The Book Theif (stalling on it) The Rest of The Narnia Series Two Towers and The Return of The Kind Yeah, pretty much it for now. I heard The Maze Runner has a prequel?
So many amazing books! I've been meaning to read I'll Give You the Sun for so long but hopefully I'll get to read it soon! And the Throne of Glass series is freaking amazing!
Please make a book talk about I'll Give You the Sun! I REALLY want to know what you thought about it more in depth. (Also it is one of my FAVORITE books I've ever read ! )
I really liked Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight, but I haven't finished Heir of Fire yet. BuT CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE WAS SO GOOD. I can't wait for TDA, and I really hope Tessa is in it, because Tessa is like my hero.
I just finishedncity of glass and I can it acess a barnes and nobles where I am at and when I herd cassandra clarebwas coming out with a new book I am bow so determined to read the rest
If you haven't tried "the Arcana Chronicles" series, I highly recommend it! I think it is one of my favorite series EVER! Once you pick it up, you just can't put it down, it's amazing!
This year I read the Divergent series, The fault in our stars, Fifty shades of Grey and three books from the Vampire Academy ( I' m reading the fourth now). I think that the best was The fault in our stars :-)
There is one series that I fully expect you would LOVE based on the books you've mentioned you've enjoyed in your videos. It's by the author of the Heir Chronicles (Cinda Williams Chima) which I think you made a video about. It's called the Seven Realms and IT IS THE MSOT AMAZING SERIES EVER!!! I love it so much, the characters are just so complex and amazing and they develop so beautifully. The first book can be a little slow (a lot of world- building), but it lays the perfect foundation for the rest of the series. Please, please, please, try it out if you get a chance! I guarantee you'll love it!
I finally read The Maze Runner this year in preparation for the movie and it was awesome! Yet 4 months after the fact and I still haven't seen the movie. Hmm. Also read The Fault in Our Stars because my sister picked it up for her daughter and we read it together (me and my sister). Currently enjoying another John Green book, Paper Towns. 11.22.63 by Stephen King is a fantastic (but looooong) book. Worth the long hours reading it though.
haha there are quite a few out there actually. mine is, and there is also katytastic, cassjaytuck, jessethereader, abookutopia, and others that I can't remember the names of at the moment.
I was in a reading slump recently and heir of fire got me out of it, that book is to darn good and I loved the new friendships and characters brought into the story... (Celaena and Rowan oh my good gosh- my heart hurts for that)
Also recommanded to read is the gone series by michael grant The I am number four series/Lorian chronichles by Pittacus Lore And the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan!!
Did you read Snow Like Ashes this year? (Also, when you go into the chipmunk voice, how are you doing that? Either you somehow speed it up while it still matches your lips... or you can really talk like that.)
My top two favorites for this year have to be the Mara Dyer series and the Throne of Glass series. btw I LOVE THE RAINBOW BOOKSHELF
I like how you put the second video at the end. Its like a preview to the next book at the end of the previous one.
Cinder was one of my favorite books this year too! So good.

(Also it is one of my FAVORITE books I've ever read ! )
Christine WHEN THE HECK ARE YOU DOING A BOOKSHELF TOUR?
I really liked Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight, but I haven't finished Heir of Fire yet. BuT CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE WAS SO GOOD. I can't wait for TDA, and I really hope Tessa is in it, because Tessa is like my hero.

Check out The Key by Andrea M. Mouser. Or time capsule series by laney Smith. Or even Vanilla Moon: Awakening by Airiel Hawkins
THE BEST
Is Cinder girly? I'm a guy and i kinda want to read it, if its too girly and cutesy i'm not gonna read it.
there is some teenage romance, but not the kind that makes you want to rip your hair out. the series gets better as you go- i say you give it a whirl!
I read the first chapter and i was hooked, so yeah. Cress would not release me.
Its not girly. There is barely any romance and its amazing!
Not at all. It is filled with so much awesomeness. not girly. except for maybe one line in scarlet..... but only one line and its over so quickly.
Definitely not, it's kickass and there is so much action, it's not really focused on the romance, you should definitely read it.
Can't wait to see what everyone is going to read in the new year.
I hope the first book I read next year Is awesome.
If you haven't tried "the Arcana Chronicles" series, I highly recommend it! I think it is one of my favorite series EVER! Once you pick it up, you just can't put it down, it's amazing!
Yessssss I love the mortal instrument series and the throne of glass series. You should read anglefire it is AMAZING!!!
I've never seen a channel that was actually excited about books!!! SUBSCRIBED
haha there are quite a few out there actually. mine is, and there is also katytastic, cassjaytuck, jessethereader, abookutopia, and others that I can't remember the names of at the moment.
I was in a reading slump recently and heir of fire got me out of it, that book is to darn good and I loved the new friendships and characters brought into the story... (Celaena and Rowan oh my good gosh- my heart hurts for that)
Also recommanded to read is the gone series by michael grant
The I am number four series/Lorian chronichles by Pittacus Lore
And the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan!!
