Well, that's that. Though reviews of Factor are generally good when it comes to taste, complaints about iffy sourcing and pricing practices, people getting sick, and problems getting refunds, I don't regret bowing out. If you use Factor, I hope it's great for you!
P.S. I missed their latest recall over plastic found in cauliflower where customers said they weren't informed. They just received boxes with meals missing and had to contact customer service to find out why. But I haven't looked into that so make sure you research it if you're interested.
I canceled my service with Factor because the delivery service was HORRIBLE. Instead of them bringing my box to the door of my apartment, they either left it outside or left it in the vestibule of the building. Not one time did they bring it to my door. I called several times to complain. And, of course, they told me, “It won’t happen again.” Guess what, it happened every time. The food was delicious, I didn’t mind the price. I was just done with having to go around the building trying to find my box.
Ooh, I'm sorry to hear that! I don't remember now who they use for delivery, but I mention in one of my reviews where I had that issue that it was because that company was using Axelhire. I'm glad you enjoyed the food but delivery is the point, so I'd cancel too if they didn't get that right. Thanks for the comment!
Do u really expect the delivery driver to ring your bell and carry the box all the way to your apartment door? Not even the mailman does that .nobody does! Boxes either get left at the door of your building or by your mailbox IF it’s outside! Get real lady. They are only required to leave it by your BUILDINGS door or as in my case since I live in a house, it was left at my front door. You live in an apartment. You should know better. The utter nerve of some ppl. Entitled much?
@@JustanotherLiz, Most definitely. It’s a senior building, there are elevators, they use a dolly, so they don’t have to carry it. And there is a box on the site for DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS, which the delivery driver is supposed to follow. USPS is not the same as Amazon, UPS, FedEx & other delivery services. Even if they would have left it inside the vestibule, that wouldn’t have been a major issue. But when I have to go around the whole damn building searching for it, that’s a problem. When the doors on the building clearly state where not to leave packages. Entitled? Lady, you don’t know a damn thing about me or my situation. Entitled, I am not.?Don’t speak on a situation you know nothing about. Look in the damn mirror, you’re the entitled one.
My first box had 5 of 14 meals. Thankfully I was able to get a full refund for that, but then my second box had 12 of 14. I contacted customer service and they "couldn't locate my email address in their system"... the email address I LITERALLY used 45 minutes earlier to reset password and log in. Like ffs their service is probably the worst I've ever used of ANY service. I'd take dealing with the DMV over them any day.

The customer service SUCKS and the meals aren't worth the $19/meal. They, a representative of their company last name MACK, called me a racist when I couldn't understand their English as a second language consultant. IDK about you, but when I'm spending my American dollars I need to know what is being communicated. Long story short, CANCELLED their service.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them, but I'm glad you ultimately cancelled! Sometimes we might have a negative exchange with a company and keep giving them a pass in case things get better. Does anyone know what the policy is for customers that do not like the meals? Do you know if they offer full refunds?
This is basically the same thing with every plate and I had a fresh they want you to give your address your email and your payment information before you can choose your meals. Also the first delivery date is always 4/5 days after you register.

Yeah same. I didn't like that I had to give my card information before seeing the meals. Also they only delivered on certain days right? It's weird lol but I considered it still until I saw cookunity because it was cheaper

They sometimes use independent carriers that I find harder to deal with than UPS and FedEx, which was another turn off for me personally. Tons of people do love Factor though. It just wasn't for me. I have ordered my keto meals thru factor for 8 months now...
I think the food is pretty good...
But I can't deny the fact THEY WAY OVERCHARGE FOR WHAT YOU GET!!!!!
The only other complaint I have about them is THEIR DELIVERY SUCKS.... I see they have Fed Ex deliver mine when it reaches my local area... AND THERE IT SITS FOR AN ENTIRE TWO DAYS AND I FINALLY GET IT TOWARDS THE EVENING ON THE THIRD DAY!!!!
THATS IF I GET IT WHEN I AM SOPPOSED TOO AND FED EX DON'T FK IT UP!!!
Because almost half of my 8 months with them.... FED EX FKD IT UP!!!
They either send it on somewhere else a couple hundred miles away on past my house!
Or they tell me all day long on that third day that its out for delivery ... But I dont get it until the next morning sometime!
I just buy factor meals...instead of grocery store... So I'm never sure which day I WILL GET TO EAT!!! 🙄
Ugh, that sounds like a nightmare. I'm glad the food is good, especially if you follow a specific diet. But delivery issues can defeat the purpose as far as meal planning goes. Not to mention food safety concerns. Thanks for commenting!
I had my fourth box delivered yesterday or should I say kind of. I got a text message from them that my box was delivered with a picture of my front door. I messaged them back and said that is not my house. Then they proceeded to give me an address where my box had been delivered and asked me could I go pick it up myself. I was working from home so I told them no. I also told them I do not feel comfortable going to take a box from in front of somebody’s door because I don’t want to be labeled as a pirate on someone’s video. Anyway they proceeded to text me a couple more times to try to get me to go get it and said they are trying to resolve the issue. A little while later there’s a knock at my door and it’s a nice lady bringing me my delivery that she got by mistake, from a different address than the one they gave me! So I texted them back to tell them I did get my food and told them if I had gone to the address they gave me I would’ve been knocking at a strangers door who would have no clue to what I was talking about. the best they could do was tell me that the address they gave me came from the GPS logged with the order delivery! I told them it was obviously wrong and they had no answer. they didn’t seem to care who brought me my food and that it wasn’t their person who screwed it up to begin with. The food is mostly good but I’m getting kind of bored of it already. It was a little eye-opening to read your post and find out that my food isn’t prepared local. For some reason I thought they were prepared locally and then shipped out to the houses. now I’m wondering how many days ago these things were cooked because I always think it’s like I’m eating leftovers every day.
I just got my first 8 days of meals about 3 days ago. I just ate my third meal which was chicken and mashed potatoes with green beans. I chose a mix of chicken, pork, and steak. I don’t yet trust fish meals. Fish I only cook myself same day as fresh purchased.
So I had no problems with the meals. All meals arrived with a still frozen block of ice on top of a very well insulated box and meals were VERY cold. I loved the taste of the food, everything was delicious. I even called customer service and had no problems. I wanted to ask if I could freeze meals I don’t eat by the expiry date and they said no.
Delivery was on time and food was delicious . I was shocked that although the meals are not huge, they are very filling . Some i couldn’t even finish and threw out. I would definitely stay with Factor IF I didn’t just lose my long term job due to business shutting down. So maybe if I can afford it in future I’ll go back. I honestly loved the food. The steak was so tender, even I can’t cook tender steak like that, mine is always tough and chewy, and chicken,pork, and everything was delicious. Actually 8 meals was too much. I only needed 7 so hubby will eat one for lunch. I don’t eat lunch. I have a small bowl of oat bran for breakfast and nothing til dinner. I must admit that when I saw my first meal and how small it looked, I was worried i would still be hungry after I was done. But not once was I hungry, the meal is perfectly portioned . It really is enough food. Well for me it was. Anyway this is just my honest opinion. I wanted to share it since I see she bashed this company and I didn’t think it was fair.
Thanks so much for posting! I'm glad you loved Factor. A lot of people do and it's incredibly popular. I'm sorry to hear about your job. Cost is so important when it comes to everything, but especially food since we have to eat lol So it's always a shame when we find meals or services we like, but can't afford.

They just had another recall and, after going round and round with them, refused to tell me the reason behind the recall. I have been using them since 2020 in the quality has gone downhill and now there has been multiple recalls from glass in the meals to plastic in the cauliflower to concerns with the safety of the chicken. This is not a safe food company. After 3 years of being with them I am officially canceling and will never use them or recommend them for anybody. The customer service is a joke on top of everything.
Oh no! I don't keep up with them so I wasn't aware that they had another recall. I just googled it and it looks like there was one in December for chicken related meals that some people got a list for but maybe others didn't. Thanks for mentioning it and I'm sorry that the company doesn't work for you. If you find something you like better, feel free to let other folks here know about the experience!

I can totally see that. Portion size is a huge deal, especially if we're going to pay extra for it.
I started getting unsolicited emails from them recently, and I haven't even done any internet searches for these meal delivery things. Just out of nowhere, spam, spam, spam. That's enough of a bad sign for me to steer very clear.

same experience except i didnt realize that i had to cancel the box too, and so i received 8 meals i didnt want
I'm sorry to hear that! It wasn't until I went through the process that I realized why I saw a number of people mention getting a box after they cancelled. It's annoying the way cancellation works with them. Hopefully you found another service that worked out!
