Good to see you back Paul, especially as you are now world famous at school. Gorgeous modelling as usual and I loved the Friesian cow riding atop the Western diesel. Ha.. until of course I took a closer look, Silly me!!!
Thanks Martin. I was almost going back to check the video for that cow you were taking about. 😆 Paul
Love the cutting
Hi Paul glad to see ur back stay safe 🚂🚂🚂🚂
Thank you Adam. Paul
Greetings County Antrim and hello Paul 😎 I must say I have been missing the inspirational Wee Wet Finger and the sandpaper 😱😂😂😂 had to “make do” with the Scrap Line while you were away 😉 Incredible that you have added a genuine “Foulston” to your fleet 😍 he loved that unit and it featured prominently in his output on the old layout 🤔 A treasure to be enjoyed on Galgorm Hall for many years 🤞🏻 Very best wishes from County Wicklow ☘️
Hi Paul, there’s no chance of wet finger with Tim, I’ll see what I can do for you in future videos. 😆 Hope you’re keeping well. Paul
Big thumbs up!
Cheers from down under. Wally
Thank you Wally. Paul
very cool that your son's teacher is a model railroader as well... well I would assume anyway.
good to be busy if it is paying the bills.
up date and new products, very nice
Thanks as always Sparky, always nice to know my viewership is there in Canada. 😆 Paul
The scenery is fabulous!
Thank you so much. Paul

Hi Paul great to see you back. Love the updates.
Thank you Stephen. Paul
Good to see you again glad everything is ok the cutting you have been working on and your new purchases look amazing thankyou for the video
Thank you Mark. Paul
Great to see you back Paul. It would be fab if you decide to do another build series. Cheers from a very wet and windy Manchester
Thanks Tony, there are a few builds in planning so watch this space. Paul
Good to see you again Paul!!! Nice update! Cheers Onno.
Thank you Onno. Paul
I put my comments on the wrong video Paul , this being the first for a few months , truly well done
I’d sort of thought that anyhow. 😆 Paul
Really enjoyed that, you'll have to bring some posters to GETs 😊
Oh that’s an idea…Garry!!! Fire up your printer. 😂 Paul
Good to see you back! And that western.. looks the business 😁
Cheers Tim, that Western? Meh 😂 Paul
Great to see you back Paul, brilliant update 😁
Thanks Barra. Paul
One of the best recomendations UA-cam as ever sent me! I don't build or run model railways but I love watching people who do, so decided to take a quick look to see what your's was like and was thrilled to see NIR stock running on your layout. I'm near Lurgan so finding someone from Norn Irn with such talent is wonderful. You have made my day (night? It's 2.30am). Your work is wonderful and had me thinking about Mouldy Raspberrry. Got yourself another sub.
Best Wishes, Brendan.
Hi Brendan thank you so much for the kind comments and the sub. You’re not far from me at all, indeed my brother lives down your neck of the woods in Waringstown. If you’re after more recommendations from a Norn Irn you tuber you won’t go far wrong with Hillside Freight Trains and he’s even closer to you in Lisburn. Paul
Thanks Paul, I will go to Hillside Freight Trains now. Thanks or the recommendation. Brendan.
Great to see you again and enjoyed the update.
Thanks Tony, it’s nice to be back. Paul
Glad you are fine, during your "life gets busy" period, not posted a vid myself for 4 months (medical issues), the Derby looks and sounds great!
Thanks Timbersurf, hope you’re on the mend. Paul
Details are awesome
Thank you Gordon. Paul
Hi Paul just watched this again and found it even more amazing, and the station commission 👌it’s only 6 or 7 mls from maybe I should visit, anyways Paul again all the best fred
I wonder what would happen if you watched it a third time? 😆 thanks again Fred. Paul
Yes, a new video by Paul! I had seen and read rumors on FaceBook, but to see it for real eases my soul. :) Great work on the branch line cut and the other scenics- just aces all around. Your additions to the fleet are also nice to see. I think you called the DMUs you got from Graham were "Darby" (???)- very cool looking and sounding. I really liked your Regional Railways cars a lot, but you want to convert them... that's cool too, but they are sharp. Anyhow, glad to hear all has been well. Glad to see you back! Best wishes!
Hi Anthony, nice to hear from you and thank you for the kind comments. My accent trips people up again 😆 you are correct in it being ‘Darby’ but spelt Derby. 🥴 Paul
@@GalgormHall i was just making sure I heard it right and wasn't being a doofus.
@@ModelTrainOutsider 😂
Enjoyable update m8. I love rail buses. I am about to start a rail car conversion.
Sounds like a nice project coming for you Noob. Paul
Good video Paul stay safe lee
Thanks Lee, much appreciated. Paul
Good to see you back Paul and you are looking very well. I do like the cutting very much. It really does have a feel of a branch line. Also impressed to see the commission work that you have been doing and intrigued about the secret squirrel project that cannot yet be named. You are certainly keeping busy. Stephen
Thank you Stephen, you’re the first to comment on my appearance. 😆 I haven’t felt busy for the last 6 weeks or so, most of this got done in April and May before the summer arrived and as a result I’m finding it hard to get back in to the rhythm of it all. Hopefully this video will be a kick start for me. Paul
Great to know you are ok Paul. Great update and great builds. Take care - Kevin
Thanks so much Kevin. Paul
Nice to see you back Paul, Always enjoy your videos and modelling skills. I want a Derby Lightweight in BR Green one day, Love em (even if I am more of a steam fan)
Hi Michael, nice to hear from you. Green was always going to be my choice too but this was too good an opportunity to turn down. Maybe we will see something from you and your layout soon? Paul
@@GalgormHall Maybe once I can make my mind up on where to set my layout (I love Gwr countryside and buildings but prefer lner and lms locos lol)
@@MichaelHenfrey 😂 that’s a bit of a pickle you’ve got yourself in to. Paul
Hello again Paul, I have kept up to date with you’re Facebook posts so no worries about how you are, just concerned about the lack of you’re great work in my mind. I even had to do another update or two myself on my channel!! Thankfully we have a few others to tide me over but so glad to see you back in the flesh. You’re work is amazing we will always continue to watch. You have been busy and some great additions to the layout. Stay safe and well and hopefully see you again soon, all the best for now, Chris
Hi Chris, good to hear from you too, hopefully I’ll be back at it a little more regularly moving forward. I really must catch up with what’s been going on with you, I just haven’t been watching any UA-cam for the part while. Paul
Great to see an update Paul, some superb new stock there mate. Just had one of my old Heljan Westerns sound chipped and I love it. That cutting is really good now. Take care, cheers Steve
Hey Steve, nice to hear from you and thank you. Hope there’s plenty of building going on with your own layout. Paul
Hello Paul
Great to see you back on the screen and with some really nice additions. Although out my time frame I do love the sprinters as they remind me of my youth when travelling from Newcastle to Sunderland to watch the foozball and I was always mythed to why I would see the local buses passing us whilst the sprinter was at top speed and sounding like it was rattling itself to bits. Obviously as I grew older I realised they weren’t the fastest but they really do occupy a place in my childhood memories.
The privately commissioned building you have built of the Marchwood Station is as always done to the highest quality and detail.
Stay safe, keep sharing and model on.
Regards
Lee@NEAR
Thanks so much Lee, I have no personal experience of the sprinters but they really do have a bit of character to them. Paul
Hello Paul, great to see you once more. I wasn't concerned because you had mentioned the commission work before. Absolutely fabulous work as usual. I love your class 111 and it sounds like the price didn't matter, having it did, so well done on that decision. I'm going to try to contact you through Fred if that is OK with you.
Regards, David.
Hi David, nice to hear from you too. Of course it’s fine to contact me through Fred or drop me a message via email that’s in the video description. Regards. Paul
Hi again Paul, For some unknown reason I only have a partial description with this video and it does not contain an email address. I'll contact Fred.
Regards, David.
Galgorm The Return!!!❤️❤️ Great stuff Paul, glad you and yours are well .... We've missed Ireland's best modeller, but glad you're back Big Fella....bout ye...😎
You’re very kind, thank you. Paul
Welcome, great to see progress on the layout and new stock. All the best David
Thanks for commenting David. Paul
Nice to see you back. Love your BR Blue Diesel additions, and the little cameo scene of the untidy garden man!
Good to hear from you Mail, hope you’re doing well. Paul
@@GalgormHall all tickety boo!😁
Great to see ya back with an update
Thank you Dylan. Paul
Hi Paul, good to see you back, that station looks superb, lot’s of lovely detail. Hopefully more to come, you’re a great inspiration, I’ve recently started my own scratch build because of you and people like yourself, thanks Paul, cheers for now, John
Thanks very kind of you John, I hope it goes well. Paul
A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO/OO scale layout, though I'm still very much in the design phase.
Thanks so much. Good luck with your extension too. Paul
@@GalgormHall You're quite welcome, and thank you for your kind words :).
Glad to see everything is good with you Paul. Great looking scenery and your commissioned build is outstanding, as are your other layout buildings..cheers
Thanks as always Jason. Paul
Nice to see your back on UA-cam again!. You have done a nice job on the scratch built station building. The scenery looks great too.- Nicholas.
Thank you very much Nicholas. Paul
Paul, it is great to see you again after all these months! Some very interesting acquisitions, and those posters are an excellent touch. Looking forward to further updates, best wishes, Alan
Thanks for watching Alan. Paul
Glad to see you back and what you've been up to. Living in the same general weather area I just assumed your loft was too hot for working in - as mine has been! Liking all your fleet purchases - particularly the 111 with it's wee smiley face! ;-) Cheers
Thanks Davie, that 111 is pride of the fleet now. Paul
Hi Paul great to see you back after a few months. I must say that station building looks just perfect on your branch line pity it's going somewhere else. Nice new stock as well atb Andy
Hi Andy, I do wish I’d built two of those stations at the same time, really suits the location but hey Ho. Thanks for commenting. Paul
Nice to see you again doing model railways if you wont you can put sum of the photos of my building that I sent you up so others can have a look as well Anthony
Thank you Anthony. I must put a gallery together of others, including yourself, work. Paul
Really enjoyed your layout update! Really like your layout with great flowing scenery. The new cutting with all those trees looks great now tempted to give a cutting on my layout a similar treatment! Even though I’m an N Gauge modeller I enjoyed seeing your new locos. Looking forward to your future updates 😊 cheers Gary
Thanks so much Gary, I’m glad you like it. Paul
Hi Paul. has it really been 5 months, its great to see you again. just picking out some of your details, the swing looks fab. the commissioned station looks also spot on. sand paper trick always works for getting the right texture. seems we are cut from the same cloth lol. stay safe my friend. look forward to seeing more. Tony
Thanks Tony, nice to be online again and hopefully not so long next time. Are you for GETS in October? Paul
@@GalgormHall yep I am going. hope to see you there if your going. Tony
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN in there both days Tony. 😬 Paul
me to....but i will probably leave early Sunday after a quick look around. Tony
The sandpaper trick is one to commit to memory. I always seem to learn something from your videos Paul. Congrats on 8113. Your layout wouldn't really be complete without a 111 ;-)
Thanks so much Philip. Paul
WOW, Paul is back! You have been missed my friend! By your comments I take it that climate change is also affecting Ireland? layout looks great, lot of work in those trees, new stock is looking good. Looking forward to your upcoming builds. Your friend across the pond. Interested in your build-boards.
Thank you Andre, yea lots of high temperatures for much of the summer chasing me away from the loft and if reports are to be believed it’s something we are all sadly going to have to get used to. I’ll do something on baseboard construction for you in a future video. 😉 Paul
Great to see you back on Utube, can we expect a transition over to mainly NIR CIE railway now that more RTR stock becoming available. Can we see an overview of your layout sometime, interested to see where the branch line disappeared to via the new treed cut. Cheers
Hi Eamonn, I think it will remain a combo of Irish and UK stock as I do like them both however the local stuff is proving much more appealing at the minute. I’ll certainly put together something of a layout tour towards the end of the year perhaps to help you envisage the layout. Paul
Accurascale/IRM coaches for Northern Ireland just great , now spending the money?, had been looking at the Lima job you done but was a bit apprehensive and other jobs come first . Ps posters good idea
Thanks Nigel. My Lima stock feels a bit redundant now with the announcement however I suppose they still do have their charm. Paul
Hi Paul anther great video mate I really injoy it every interesting I thought you would be interested in the Accurasale BR/NIR MK2B COACHES I AM hope that Accurasale make the latter mk2c coaches I am every interested in the mk2c coaches as they were used on the wcml in the 1970/ 80s I am glad you get a NIR GM 111 CLASS LOCO I now have six heljan class86/0 electric locos on my layout working on my freightliner trains I have also finished my 80class demu to ho what a job that was paul stay safe and well mate goodbye for how clive
Hi Clive. If you look closely at the NIR ones there's a solitary mk2c lurking in there. It's inconceivable that mk2c BR stock won't be released at some stage (and IR/IE ones as well) given the tooling exists or will do soon.
Thanks Clive, I hope you have a few of the Mk2bs in order in the meantime. Paul
The cutting looks great - got similar ideas for a section on my layout. Is the little train snippet at 23min filmed at Benone Strand?
Thank you, it’s getting there and yes, that’s Benone a couple of years ago. Paul
Omg first comment
And your prize is…😆 Paul
@@GalgormHall a nice DMU depot would do me
Ahh, ok. 😬
I'm just building my first oo layout after 20 plus years in N and wondered what you use for you ground cover? As I've always only used flock powder, but with oo my grass needs to be longer
Hi Dave, I’ve been using the Greenscenes static grass products, mostly the 4mm stuff but also some 2mm and 6mm to create some variation. Hope that helps a little. Paul
@@GalgormHall oh wow just static grass not mats. Thanks for the info
Base later is just the static grass Dave. Further enhancements are made using fine and coarse turfs from Woodland Scenics. Paul
