Runo, The 2016 ION B2 Harness has yellow straps, the video is showing 2015 Ion B2 (same harness). The 2017 ION B2 Harness is Black and Maroon colorway and also the same. I would tend to go a size up, because you can always tighten it down with the straps. Email or call us if you have more questions: info@nykitecenter 631-691-0793

Hi!...just made a 15m jump with a 15m kite using a short-harnes Ion ...but I'm wondering about the new Dakine Fusion that has a rigid shell (maybe the only seat harness with a rigid shell?....!...)
The dynabar idea looks great....but for Big Air it's not better to have a fixed point for a better air-balance?
    Sorry for my English...!
    Cheers.

surfa0 15m jump on a 15m kite WOW that's big! What board did you use? The Dakine fusion is a great seat harness but it is a bit bulkier. The Dynabar take a little getting used to but works fine for big air I like to use the metal pro surf bar instead of the rope. My highest jump is 16.5m with the Ion B2 and Dynabar and Core XR5 9m. Let us know if you want to purchase a Dakine Fusion or Dynabar! Thanks for commenting! -John 631.691.0793

Hi there , In the video the part where you show the harness shorts the first one is with yellow straps and the second one isnt ( ur fav one ) , my question is ..arent they both ION b2 ? Or are they different year models or different brand all together ? And should I get a size up or a size down ( I always wear a neoprene 3/2 or 4/3 ) I am having same problem with a fractured rib that I had in the past and so I ride seat harness but they feel very uncomfortable and want to get some shorts . Thank you very much

Hey man! Cool video!! Thanks for sharing! I have a question the last harness you show. How does it feel for jumping I have been using waist harness all my life but I’m fucking tire that after a while the harness climbs up and the harder I strap it the hardest it become to push it down later so I rather have a little bit loose so after I jump I put ride with the kite low and push it down. But I’m tired of doing this and also I’m not planning on doing unhook tricks any more just freeride

Gustavo Torres Van jumping will feel different , but it won’t prevent you from boosting big air! I ride the Ion B2 harness and my highest recorded jump is 59 feet. It just takes a little getting used to because your center of gravity changes. All waist harness ride up including the newer hard shells. The leg straps on a seat harness prevent it from riding up so it’s something you would probably prefer. I recommend trying one because that’s the best way to find out. Give us a call to discuss further if you would like! 631-691-0793

Hi John, just one last quick question. I am being told that with a short-harness the bar would be in a different position than usual, much lower. Is this so? from your video i can't see the difference... thanks again!

Hi John, i also wrote to NY Kite Center to seek your advise. Similar to others, i broke to lower ribs. Now if i crash hard with strong upward traction the spreader bar gets under my ribs and the result is: session over + strong pain for approx. 2 weeks.
I was looking into ride engine-like harness thinking that it would help, but i having second thoughts and it is possible that they would just make the pain worse. In your video you praise the dakine solution, would that go well with big air and kiteloops? i assume once unhooked it is not relevant, but are there short-harnesses with freestyle leash attachment? Thanks a lot! and happy to get in touch via email as well.. thumbs up for the video!

Giorgio, The Ride Engine harness does stay in position better than many other waist harnesses but it will still ride up. I use the Ion B2 harness and have had several jumps in the 50 foot range. I also use the same harness for kite loops and some handle pass manuevers. I did add a line across the back of my harness for my leash to slide over when passing. Feel free to give us a call to discuss how to do that if you have questions! Thanks for watching!

@Khashon Haselrig wrong landing from a high jump and kite powered (most probably did something very stupid such as no leaving the bar in good time)

Diana that is the 11" Dynabar . The 13" is quite large and I rarely recommend that size. Few free to call to discuss the right set up for you! 631-691-0793
