Wow, Ali. I enjoyed every single story in this album. What wonderful gifts from your mom - her love for writing, telling stories, birds, gardens etc., all of which she gave to you. You have always inspired me to try to capture the stories - I have been following you since Simon was 2. And now your mom has given me inspiration through her album. After crying along with you from the beginning of this book, I immediately took a picture of a small Christmas tree my husband made for me and will write the full story about it - it has special meaning from the research he did on this type of tree to the products he used. If your mom can write about her favorite holiday quilt, I should be writing about this adorable Christmas tree my husband (of almost 47 years) made me. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you do for this community and keeping us on track to document those stories! 😘 Please tell your mom thank you for sharing her album with us.

I am your mother's age and I really enjoyed seeing her December Daily. I have watched videos of many December Dailies as I prepare to make my first album and her's is the first I have seen that included her faith. I love that. After all, what are we celebrating? I am only a few years behind your parents, and I have never done a DD, but after seeing your mom's albums from the last two years I am going to do it so that my kids and grandkids can see and read my words about what is important to me too. Wow! This is so awesome. Thank you for sharing. I love seeing her perspective of December and Christmas. This is truly a gift! Last month I took my mom on vacation for Christmas and I put together a small travel journal talking about what we did each day and some small stories. When we returned home, I printed some photos and mailed it to her! She loved it. Thank you for your December Daily inspiration! I hope 2023 is your best year yet. :)

As someone who doesn’t have kids and doesn’t necessarily have all the holiday events to document like others, I am making a note to rewatch this next holiday season as a reminder that documenting the everyday life is important and just as much fun! I did not think I could weep more than I wept when you walked through your mom’s album from 2020. Seeing your dad’s story about razor clams made me choke up. But that Loving List made me ugly cry.

This is such a wonderful album. Doing my first December Daily this year and I really do want to have the focus on the journaling. Great inspiration.
Your mom created the most beautiful and heartwarming album. I have never spent a lot of time writing my stories but I will now. At 68, I see that what I think, feel and experience are important to share, both for me and those I will leave behind. Her album moved me in ways I can’t fully explain. I am so grateful she was willing to share her album. I feel blessed.
I am wrapping up my 2022 album and so thankful to have this treasure to remember this lovely season in our lives. This project does matter, it brings so much joy! Thank you for sharing your Mom’s album, it made me cry and smile and nod my head. Pure joy of life and the season captured so beautifully. Bravo! ❤❤
Your mom’s 2020 album was so inspiring to me & now once again I’m honored that she allowed you to share it with us. Not only has she inspired me to tell certain stories in my DD album (especially about ornaments and decor) but she has inspired me to tell the stories about my bird feeders or the texts or gifts I receive from family members that aren’t nearby. I love her albums. Thank you to both of you.

Ali and Ali’s momma just touched me to the point I tested up too. Thank you for sharing this peace of love , history, ❤️, life. Actually anyone seeing this I hope it makes me think heat let’s help mom and dad do some decor for the holiday that they cannot do and take it down too. Life is so busy and our kids have kids and very busy lives. I have had a horrible year and couldn’t decorate much got the tree up though. I started wanting to do December daily and didn’t because I found little love or joy this year. But I should have because I do have stories. I have been helping my husbands parents and maybe my kids won’t care about my story but just maybe they will care about there’s. So I will work on it because you shared something that wasn’t about all that glitters of a flurry of activity we all have when we are young parents. Wow I am chocked up really thank you again

I loved seeing your Mom’s album last year, so looked forward to this! I really loved how she incorporated Christmas cards received to tell a story about the sender! Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t look like she numbered the pages - just told the stories - love that! She tells great stories - the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, huh?!
