    Still waiting for the video for crypto and how to use it with in Cyprus and also how to look for a job in Cyprus (like sites where Cyprus jobs ads are placed).

    Thanks for producing more useful Cyprus content, it's great! :) Would love to hear how people in Cyprus feel about current political conflict? What are the economical consequences going to be for Cyprus as I understand Russians bring the most money to the tourism there?

    Hey Rico, im planning on moving to Cyprus in July from Canada. I have a 2016 Mustang GT, and i really dont want to let it go. I wanted to bring it with me, ship it over etc. But it is a left hand drive car. Any suggestions on if its possible and how to do it? Knowing the cars there are right hand drive. Any tips and advice is greatly appreciated.

      Hey there! Insane to see how people from all over the world move to Cyprus. Even from lovely Canada! Maybe the weather, haha!
      Honestly, I understand and respect your decision, however, I personally recommend you to sell it. Even though it's emotional, you will not like driving on the other side for long. We do have many Mustangs here as well, that you could buy. BUT, if you 100% want to stay with your car, you can bring it to Greece, or Germany Hamburg, and from there you can ship it to Cyprus. I can give you the contacts for the shipping companies, if you reach out to me via my website. Just google my name Ricardo Gorski. Have a nice day, and all the best to you!

    If I'm an Eu citizen with cypress yellow slip meu1 can I register a car in cyprus and then transport it to the mainland to travel around the EU? or maybe register a car in cyprus that I buy outside of cyprus. I'm curious in van life as a digital nomad. Do I have to stay in cyprus for a certain number of days in a year to keep my meu1 residency?

    i am thinking of semi retiring in cyprus.as my landrover defender is a right hand drive from Ireland and is quite popular in Cyprus i was toying with the idea of driving it over and making a holiday of it on the way down to Athens.the ferry service to Cyprus seems to be seasonal and not very regular.Maybe you could do a bit of research on that and make another topic on this on your youtube channel

    Hi Rico, great content, and not just with this video, but all of them! Do you have any idea if I can drive my own car ( registered outside Cyprus, but still from EU ) in Cyprus, and for how long? ( legally ). So basically, is it mandatory to register it in Cyprus or I can drive it like that as well, if I move for a long term? Thank you.

    • @Rico
      @Rico  2 роки тому +1

      Hey there! First, I'd ask why would you import a car? It makes most sense to just buy a normal car here in Cyprus. But if you have a strong reason to still do it, then yes, I have seen some cars with other EU license plates, but I don't see many. And I'm not sure how the regulation is. :) Hope it helps.

    • @cinthyastudios
      @cinthyastudios 2 роки тому

      @@Rico thanks Rico. Meanwhile I did some more research and found out that you are allowed to drive it for 6 months as long as the residence is still outside Cyprus. Since I want to move there completely and for a longer term it does not make sense. I will sell it and buy one there I guess. I will definitely message you once I am there so we can chat while having a coffee. By the way, George here :). Take care!

      @@cinthyastudios Ah hey George, just saw your other message. Alright, that sounds like a plan! :)

    • @gabesz666
      @gabesz666 2 роки тому

      @@Rico There is a good reason to import a car: you are aware of your current car's condition. As you described in the video and experienced yourself, it is easy to run into a seller who hides a few important details about the car away from you. I mean, yeah, if you want a cheap car, then it's okay, cause the cost of repair won't be that much. But if you own a relatively good car (> 20000 euros) at home and you sell it and want to buy something from the same category, it can be quite risky if there is a serious issue with the car. And even if you hire a car mechanic to inspect the desired vehicle, he does not have all the necessary tools at disposal to identify all the possible problems.

    • @Rico
      @Rico  2 роки тому

      @@gabesz666 Legit point. However, most cars in Central Europe have the steering wheel on the left side. This will be very uncomfortable in CY driving on the left side. I'd say importing from the UK is actually fine, but in the case of EU, I would personally sell it.

  • @louddude

    how is your experience after 1 year?
    I had car like this for 5 years (bought for 2800). Repairs over those years costed me I think 3 times the car price I've paid. Then when it broke severely I've waisted another 3k for the rental cars while I was waiting for repairs. In the end I ended up spending price of a decent car. I was not able to buy better car back then though but if you can - go for newer car. Those old cars are not "economy" version.
    Also you pay with stress - I was always stressed about it will break any time (which it did constantly).

    • @Rico
      @Rico  2 роки тому

      @@evgenidanailov210 No, I don't think so. My personal opinion is to sell the car in the Netherlands and buy a new one here. Shipping is also very expensive. BUT, if you have an emotional connection to the car, and you don't care about the extra costs, you can do it. It's just something I don't recommend.
