I make a template of each wall… make sure it fits correctly. Then I trace that onto card stock or poster board. Make sure it fits. Then I glue the wallpaper to that and then install it on the wall once dry. I can still over lap corners too. Thanks for such great videos.

I do have 2 tips: I use thick cardboard or wood against all walls, ceiling and floor so I can work on my desk and place them in later on. Tip 2: I would make strips of wallpaper in scale like the real ones, cause the seams will look very realistic as in real life you will see them too.

@@recoveringsoul755 The cardboard I use is about 2mm so that's 4 mm you miss and yes when you sand a slot or drill a hole in the wall you can easily hide the cords for the electricity.

I’m doing the same only using 100# card stock. It’s much thinner than cardboard but just as easy to work with.
I hadn’t thought about it but leaving an overhang on the sides of my back wall may make the corners less visible. In my kitchen I’m using 1/8” x 1/8 sticks to trim the corners.

Lol you are so cute. "Some people think that latex is better, and...I've done acrylic and, it's fine". I take those Fisher Price big dollhouses that I find for free or cheap around town for sale, I prime them, and paint them for my kids. It's so fun. I scored a giant mansion for free, and since I have a son who doesn't play with dolls, he wants me to decorate this mansion for his Marvel Legends toys and make it his "Avengers Compound" lol. I print my own on photo paper so it's easy to scale using Microsoft Word. I print on the non shiny back of the photo paper so I still have the thickness but not glossy. Dry-fit. Then I use spray adhesive on the paper, not the wall so it doesn't get where I don't want it. I use a gift card to slowly smooth from bottom to top allowing the paper to lay over my free hand.

For cutting the wallpaper, it's easy to just put the wallpaper with the pattern face-down and then you don't have to worry about tape as much, or pencil marks being visible later on. Just make sure to "mirror" your measurements so when you flip it over, it won't be backwards. :)

    • @WhitneyLaBrie
