Ive kind of regret not pulling for any of these sustains on my main account where I got Gepard and Bailu vs. the Luocha + Clara account I've lent to my sibling (coz it's autoplay friendly)
Bailu can solo sustain, but
Gepard is lacking in long drawn out fights (esp in the recent 1.6 content) as a solo sustain I have to pair him with Lynx. His 5* LC only increases aggro by 200%, same with the 4* Landau LC.
In comparison, March Skill, Clara Skill and Ult increases aggro by 500%
I think I'd get a Clara again on my main account coz it's crazy she's the only tank, SUB-DPS, DPS that didn't fall off hard in the tier lists. She's still in the same tier as Argenti and I like Clara's style the most.

Most of players will pick Bronya but Welt is a good pick as well. If well built, you can run a sustainless squad especially if you got Ruan Mei.
same, I would go for e2 welt and equipped him with ERR and wait for Dr. Ratio and see what happens

Welt is really good i prefer him over bronya in gold and gear if I have to pick the swarm boss (if i got argenti boss it's bronya)
My team with a welt and ruan mei just doesn't give the enemy a turn lmao. Once the enemy have their toughness bar broken, its over for them
Bronya is the obvious pick. Gepard second best, imo. His massive shields will also make any Simulated Universe content a breeze.
Yeah Gepard with Preservation Path in SU is probably more interesting than the Yanqing Remembrance that Mtashed is suggesting.
i dont have both but i picked clara cause of her follow up attack which i liked and the game gave me a clara signature lc. the game gave me another clara in the next 10 pulls 🙃🙃 i should have gone for bronya.. but worry not my all physical team can cook it enough along with silverwolf when needed.
I do have Geppie, and he's certainly served me well in SU. But running a Kafka DoT team with Ruan Mei just trivializes regular SU so much. Slap Black Swan into that team and it'll be even more of a breeze.
Gepard does excel in tanking those hard hitting AOEs in Diff V of Swarm and Gears though. Especially with the right blessings.

@@reubenprasanth271Niiice, Clara is extremely good. Got her early on and recently bought her Light Cone from the shop. She deals tons of consistent damage while keeping pressure focused on herself. Very fun to use too, hope you're happy with your Clara
If you have Topaz, I HIGHLY suggest Clara. The synergy is just insane

Dr Ratio, if actually built correctly unlike his trial version, is the most strongest single target DPS. An actual hunt character.
Dr. Ratio, Topaz, your debuffer, and sustainer is the most optimal build. Even a 4* debuffer would be good enough. Clara would be useless here
At this point for topaz mains go for welt for the pairing with dr.ratio.
As the HI3 veteran player, main portion of hype for HSR in my case, was Himeko and because I still dont have her, she is the "must pick". ❤
True they really did her dirty by making her kit and break effect requirement w/cooldown. She feels like a 4.5 star 😵💫😔

Gepard is really good if you have team with extra skill point points his skill freezes enemies and cc’s them forever with enough ehr lol. And that builds his shield ult over and over. Obviously Bronya is the best
I don't even skill unless I need to energy to keep 100% uptime on shields. Just run Landau's Choice or Moment of Victory and you're done.
Gepard is ideal against cryo enemies, esp with Ruan Mei and Jingliu+Pela, it's just endless freeze.
@@chironthecuddley6144 His skill is pretty usefull if you can afford it. I don't even build DEF mainstay anymore because MoV gives enough, focusing on EHR makes it so that he just NEVER misses, the absolute legend. The enemies are constantly freezing and receiving extra DoTs when in the Kafka team
@adv78 I have him at E1S1, so he does land the freeze when I need it, I just prefer having him build points for someone else to use, since he can usually keep shield up time near 100% without skill most of the time.

He always freezes, yeah. But I do agree that, if you're gonna Q with someone, he'll be your best shot most of the time. So I do Q a lot with him too. SP generation is way to important and sustain chars usually have to do it. But when i have enough, his skill helps tons

i have an E2 Clara and shes definitely been a late bloomer. 40k counters are delicious. she also carried me through the 1.0 story campaign. 2 piece ashblaze was a massive buff to her
brother what is the recommended team for her? i have argenti E1 with LC, fu xuan no sig LC, Clara E1 with LC & Pela E6 with event LC.
seems good especially when i run as a semi tank & sub dps in one combo, i have 2 piece physical + 2 piece follow-up, 2 piece energy regen & 10% same element dmg boosting ornament.
i could use clara and march but who else do i put with her and what would be the nice combo to win swarm disaster IV & V. Any tip is welcome

@@reubenprasanth271lynx is better than march for clara since she also aggros enemies to clara but can reliably heal + cleanse the team. Tingyun allows clara to ult spam and topaz is insane for fua vulnerability debuff and constant fua
@@ionisur i dont use tingyun and dont have the pig lady. so clara lynx march and silverwolf should do fine.
Get Bronya until she’s E6, mine’s already E3, already used the guaranteed on her after 300 standard pulls. Other than Bronya, it’s gonna be either Welt or Clara, Welt allows you to not run any healer or shielder cause enemies are slow & in infinite Imprisonment state, Clara/Svarog is tank DPS, Unlimited Counter Follow-up ATK as long as enemies keeps hitting you

i wish i got bronya when i lose my 50-50 but i got bailu, yanqing and gepard yet. would prefer bronya e2 instead

@@shwix6534 if you already got to the 300 wishes you're not a new player, if you don't have characters at lvl 80 it's beacouse you have a bad account management.
Unless the enemy has a 2 stage attack like the monkey, running Welt as a sustainer is suicidal. He doesnt generate enough energy to keep his ult uptime unless u use his skills a lot more time which is not ideal for a sustainer. He can only do this when he is at E2. So pls dont overrate welt’s capabilitiy to sustain, he’s cope at best.

Thanks for the informative video, Mtashed. And I'm glad you spoke favorably of Clara. I almost forgot that she was one of your first 5-stars. She's really underrated, and has cleared the MoC for me several times. I have her at E2 with her LC, so she's a little monster, but even at E0 she should not be overlooked. Bronya is clearly priority. I was finally able to grab her the other week from the standard selector. Happy to have her on my account!

Follow-up mechanic is going to get better and better thanks to new relics and supporting characters. So Clara is solid pick. Unless you have Argenti, there are not many options in physical element. She also shines with her lightcone. If you have one lying around, better consider getting Clara. Otherwise, Bronya is autopick.
I've had Clara's lightcone S2 for a while now. Yesterday I finally got her from the standard banner at 80 pity :)
Thanks Mtash, I started in December, as such I don't have half the characters available but what I do have is a little bit of luck. With that luck I have gotten Gepard from the discount warp, Welt and Tingyun through standard warp, my Lynx being the free unit. Cleared so far all the way up to Big Destruction Momma and now I'm just farming resources at Rank 50 for when I do the EQ mission. Gepard is the unit that saved me more times than I can count, don't discount him. For Welt, I just started to build him in preparation for my Ruan Mei Welt team. I don't have a decent DPS unit yet so thats really the only thing holding back other team. I am making Xueyi work and she can clear the content so far for me but I really rather not rely on Follow up attacks in the story content when it works so much better in SU.
A little addition about Clara. I am Clara main, currently farming the better relics for her, so my current ones arent the best, but really solid. Has E2 and using her signature.
I want to say, that she is extremely underrated. Yes, she is kinda rng, but like who cares? You can restart any battle all over again. Speaking about her potential. Small disclaimer, all of this numbers were achieved with right build TingYuan.
Well, how to say it. 125k+ damage in 5 targets with skill is ez for her. Hitting bosses in her ult for around 100k is easy too. Funny fact, all of this numbers were made in MoC 10-12. She has a lot of sustainability herself along with the damage. She is extremely fun to play thx to her counterattacks mechanic and the fact, that she is, along with Blade, are the only characters who can pass the hardest lvls of any Simulated Universe.
But, there is a HUGE misconception about her. Dont built her as SP positive character, like never. Dont use SPD boots, go for Atc% one. Also she doesn't really want to be used as secondary DPS seems she is not a fast character, so cabt generate SP well. Go full damage build for busted Clara
If you can battery her and stay on ulti most of the time the rng goes away
thanks for this breakdown, this has been on my mind! i have bronya, welt, clara, bailu, and yanqing and was debating between bronya E1 and welt E1. i'm leaning towards broyna E1 at this point since i have welt's lightcone at S2 already from standard banner pulls. still got about 30 pulls left or so tho, i went to hard pity in the beginner banner. meanwhile, still saving up for bronya's lightcone in the shop but i'm over halfway there :3
Bronya for the OP, Himeko for the material/relic speed farm, Welt or Clara for really unique interactions/teams, Gepard if you want to push swarm/gold and gears and dont have fu xuan, Bailu or Yanqing if youre a masochist.
Also disappointed he didnt go for the E2 welt memes. Get that 2 turn ult.

Gepard is pretty insane for Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears, Fu Xuan will get one shot from AOE, Gepard blocks the whole team. Put that into consideration guys.
How weak is your Fu Xuan? Have you considered building Def, HP and dmg reduction on her?
@@Marvinzum All of that is still not enough for Fu Xuan to survive even with 9k-10k+ hp and 2k defense against diff V plane 3 bosses in Conundrum 6+, they nuke way too damn hard. Gepard can have like a 20k hp shield with preservation if you get lucky with buffs, it's insane survivability.
@@Marvinzum Swarm boss AOEs aren't a joke. No matter how high your HP is, the damage taken by the 3 other characters are all going to Fu Xuan

@@speedrunner3312 Use Guard of Wuthering Snow 2pc and get some dmg reduction blessings and she becomes immortal even in the new mode with 6+. The destruction 3* Destruction Blessings are all great.

I got my Welt on the beginner banner and he has been sooooo good for me. Being an imaginary character that debufs and can swing wide was exactly what i needed early on ...him and dan hung have usually been a part of every party build iv been using.
Bronya's e1 was the right choice even if Welt's e2 and Clara's e1 (if you have Topaz) come very close. It has saved my MoC and Herta's universe clears countless of times. I got myself Bronya e3 since the game keeps giving me her on the standard banner along with her light cone (two of them already.) I'm missing Gepard, Clara, Himeko, Yanqing but it hardly matters if I can "soon" have Bronya e4.

I got Yanqing( 20 pity) and Bronya(guaranteed 50) from the beginner's banner! You can definitely get two 5* from the banner! Also got Welt's 5* lightcone from the standard banner at 78 pity. I think I'll pull Geppie after I reach 300. I lost 50-50 on SW and got him on my 2nd account. He was so crucial for my account.
I'm three pulls away and will get it with the simulated universe reset next Monday. Soooo excited to get Bronya at long last!
VERY GOOD TAKES! I FOT 19 pulls left to 300. I've built E1 Himeko, E0 Welt and E1 Bronya. I don't own other standard characters and don't need any. The ONLY standard character I MAY build is Clara. E2 Bronya is coming home!
A new character over an E1 is always my choice
Also Geopard is something else in swarm 5, if you have him you know, if you don't, no one comes close to him

as someone who has had bailu since basically the start, she has fallen off since better abundance characters like huohuo and luocha are out and the two are basically dominating sustain, but bailu is the only character that had a built in revive for any character, her healing is crazy but characters like lynx, can do better so of course bailu would be a bit worse then she is, but she still is amazing the revive comes in clutch at swarm disaster and goldngears

Clara! Been playing the game a while now and realized that follow up attacking teams in simulated universe are insane, if you Want to get though that kind of end game much easier get a Clara and pair her with your Dr. Ratio then run elation trees then come thank me❤ oh and spread the tip
Honestly depends on who you already have, cause the general rule of thumb is getting a new character is better than getting a copy of one.
I only have Gepard so far (I did 120 pulls worth on standard and got Yanqing's and Bailu's LC) so whoever I don't get that I wanted, I'll be grabbin (will probably still wait though cause I would like to have a shot at getting any of the new 4 stars. Plus there's the off chance I lose a 50/50 on a limited banner)
Id choose Bronya first but if you have Bronya then get Gepard. Harmony and sustain characters will always add value to any account. If you have both then choose whoever you like most tbh.

The thing, your right, but your wrong, by the time someone is able to pick their free 5 star, they’re not new to the game no more, like mtashed said, it’s almost a year into making for this video. Imagine someone who spent their 30-40 wishes on the beginning warp banner, they would be months behind, at that point, your playing the game for more than a year. You’re not new. Yiu prob already have a bunch of insane 5 stars on your account. So once again, your right about harmony and sustain adding value to any new player account, but solely based on picking from the free 5 star, your not new anymore and have better chars

I'd love it if you made build videos for all these characters, including some of the notable 4 star characters like Lynx and Tingyun
Both have different relic combos they can use, but I put speed set 2p and hp% set 2p on both, for speed and survivability.
For planar ornaments, you usually wanna go Keel, or Fleet.
For Lynx, you want ER rope, healing bonus cp, speed boots and an hp orb. Get Effect Resistance (for keel, but it's useful in general), speed, hp% and def% substats. As for lightcones, post-op, shared feeling and the ghost event lc work well (not the only options).
For Tingyun, ER rope, speed boots, and then mix and match main and substats until you get around 2200 to 2500 attack with around 3k hp, 1k defense, some effect res (keel) and a crap ton of speed. You can't go wrong with the LC Dance x3 here.
But if you don't trust a random yt comment, Guoba has some good builds for these, you should check them out.

I had E1 Clara in the beta and it is a huge difference in damage if you play her like a normal carry. I would definitely recommend it as the best choice if you already have E1 Bronya.
I have E1 Clara, and while it's good, I would never recommend taking that instead of another character that will provide extra value or your account. Welt, Gepard and Himeko (if you have Topaz) are much better picks than Clara's E1 in most cases.

Clara is the best imo just because of her playstyle as a revenge tank dps. I got her e2 missing some 50/50s and her light cone and I can easily clear any content. Bronya is great but Imo there's enough 4 stars supports plus sparkle coming up where she not needed as much and Ruan Mei is here too. Choose who you like the most because any one of the choices can clear all content in the game and there's a very good chance of getting any of them from a loss 50/50s.
Yesterday I actually had to go to 80 pity on the standard banner for a 5-star, I got my first Clara though and I really wanted to get her. I'm trying to get some decent relics for her now but it's gonna be a lengthy process...

I have Bronya E1, Clara E1, Bailu E0, Gepard E0 and Welt E0. I also have Jingliu, so I don't need Yanqing. I will choose between E2 Clara, E1 Welt and... E0 Himeko. Now that we have Ruan Mei, Himeko's value also increased, especially considering the new game mode, as you mentioned.
Clara with her own LC, which you can buy from a shop, is insane. Also, she's so precious I'm really glad I have her.
My Bailu is insane with high ERR%. I rarely use her skill and still manage to keep my team alive.
IMO you made a good choice, Bronya's E1 is really good and enables some possibilities.
I agree with your opinion on Clara she is still a solid pick if someone needs a phys dps. I built her and have no regrets, if anything she only keeps getting stronger with Topaz and Ruan mei.
I ended up getting Welt because I have his lightcone plus and he was the only standard character I was missing (we don't talk about Yanqing). I already have E1 Bronya and I believe she's more valuable enough to have on your account, I wasn't that particularly interested in getting her E2.
Imo e2 better than e1. You can make your bronya 163 speed with your carry at 134 speed. And both of them speed through everything

I have Welt E2 and I can confirm it is crazy. I also have Himeko E2 and I do enjoy her especially for sim universe 6. I already have Bronya so I decided on Clara, because I think she will be a good unit to use against Gepard and Kafka in sim universe
If you've ever played fgo, it's basically the waver ticket but for bronya. If you don't have bronya, get her, if you already have her, get e1

Just got my E2 Bronya from 300th wish. My pity was also close and I got Bronya's LC AND got E2 Clara early while trying to hit 300. Like the year started way too good for me.

Yeah I'll likely use it to get E1 for Bronya, though I really would benefit from Welt or Himeko as options, my main reason is that I do believe there will be a 5 Star Fire character in future that will clap cheeks and I'll try to pull for them, and with Dr. Ratio being a free Imaginary character too, it just makes more sense to grab Bronya's E1
Now with the new Pure Fiction mode, Himeko's value skyrocketed along with Herta's
Great insight. Generally this is the consensus:
1) Bronya - very strong and incredibly good in the game right now and provides a whole lot of value regardless of team with crit dmg and atk buffs
2) Welt - nihility is quite strong right now and his kit and effective especially when combined with other units. If you have Bronya and don’t want her E1 then he’s a good choice
3) Gepard - great character due to his preservation aspect, the shield is great for sustaining and keeps the team alive when abundance doesn’t, though he’s probably not priority
4) Bailu/Yanqing/Himeko/Clara - niche and powercrept for the most part. Definitely provide some value however depending on who else you might have and how far into the game you are they are not as worth it as the others

I agree with most of these except Clara, she is still a highly valued unit who I personally want despite having literally every other destruction unit in the game atm apart from her.
Definitely undermining Clara's value by calling her niche/powercrept. Clara only comes across as niche due to the start of the game, player's lack of understanding of the game, and unbuilt characters resulting in Clara's requirement of getting hit coming off as niche and hard to play.
Nowadays, needing Clara to get hit is rather easy due to AOE/blast attacks being quite frequent with strong enemies, her path, ult, and if you have her, Lynx's skill. And due to her needing only to get hit to do her thing and peddling off of enemies' speed, she is also one of the few DPS in the game that can fully commit to zero speed in favor of more offensive stats. Her low energy cost and high energy gain make her very consistent as well. The easiest showcase of how strong Clara currently is with Argenti boss, who Clara can easily beat within 2 turns with a decently built team. Another being Kafka, who's constant FUA causes her to get mauled by Clara.
Honestly, I'd place Clara at or above Welt simply because she is easy to built, have a lot of diverse team composition, is competitively viable against other limited 5* star dps, and at certain cases, even outshine them.
I was thinking about Bailu, because she revives, is a 5* and is a healer and I need a second healer. Tho I didn't really consider Lynx or Natasha... Both I have 💀
I have Geppie, Bronya, Welt and Yaqing E1. But after watching this vid, I think I will spend on my Welt, because I use him far more. Thank you for the vid :)

Himeko has new sets to buff dot or follow up. Ruan Mei makes Himeko really good too. She seems to be getting indirectly buffed more lately.

Imo, the goal for bronya is e4 for that automatic follow up attack for consistent breaking. Otherwise, welt is good because imaginary as an element is simply hard to get, especially when theres only 1 imaginary 4 star.

I’m gonna reach 300 soon and I’ve been debating. I’ve got E1 Welt, Clara, and Bailu. I’m thinking of getting Gerpard because my usuals sustain units are Lynx and Fu Xuan. However, I’m thinking that I could get an E1 Bronya and just wait for a Penacony preservation character. I’d use Bailu but none of the team comps I’m running can make use of her and she doesn’t have a cleanse
Bailu's invigoration buff alone is almost as strong as Gepard's ultimate.
Assuming Gepard has 3500 defense, maxed traces, and 20% shield bonus, his ultimate gives 2610 shield HP.
Assuming Bailu has 5k HP, maxed traces, and 71.5% heal bonus (note how much more sources of healing bonus there is in the game compared to shield bonus), her invigoration heals for 710 hp and can trigger up to 3 times for a total of 2130 hp.
Keep in mind that "1-shots" in this game are actually 2 or 3 shots with the opposition hitting the same character back-to-back. Bailu also has 10% max HP buff and 10% damage reduction to help deal with these situations.
Lets say you have a character with 3000 health and they get hit three times in a row for 2000 damage each hit. That character with Gepard's ultimate up will die. But that character with Bailu's invigoration, damage reduction, and max HP buff will live with 30 hp left.
On top of all of the above, Bailu is faster, has more effect res, can auto-resurrect other party members, and her ultimate also instantly heals.

As a person who has e2 of Clara with her light cone she is a crazy non-investment all round monster she takes hits and dishes the damage and helps sustain other units without sacrifices to the team. She is just that good that I don't get mad when I lose 50/50 to her

From standard banner pulls and lost 50/50s I got all of them except Bailu and Bronya... and I already have Lynx and Luocha for healing, so I'm definitely getting Bronya. Plus her light cone is already waiting on Tingyun too...
I only just started playing this game this week, and my character level cap just got increased to 30 lol, but after testing out all the characters on the banner, I immediately fell in love with Himeko. I still don't fully understand follow-up mechanics, but with her and Herta, it's like double auto battle. They're just instantly sweep new waves of enemies, and it's so satisfying to watch. But since I already have her, everyone is saying Bronya, so honestly I think I might whenever that opportunity comes.
I'm mostly trying to choose between E1 Bronya, Geppie, and Clara. I mostly want Geppie because although I have HuoHuo, Fu Xuan, and the other free defensive supports, but I feel like especially in MoC, whatever side that doesnt have FuXuan at least is gonna have trouble with survivability. I want Clara because I do have Topaz to go well with her but I haven't built my March yet. So thoughts?
for bailu if u end up getting her she is still good unit to use compare to other healers on non debuff stage that hits really hard. she provides 1 shot protection with that ult invigoration healing while attacked + 10% damage reduction + 5% hp when allied hp is full when healed, that a lone is alrd better than 4 stars seeing the difficulty of the current moc 12. but yeah not as a 300 selector pick ofc

For me the only use case if you pick Bailu would be in the higher stages of Simulated universe content where you would need two sustains to get through it, Dmg% reduction with a reactive heal and a revive is very slept upon in that type of content, and for the people who would complain that she doesn't have a cleanse, that's what your other sustain can do since most other sustains have it or some form of it e.i. Fu Xuan CC mitigation
I wanted Welt for a long time so I picked him. Also, I got bored of just using Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae as my only Imaginary damage dealer. I got lucky with him when I just wanted to pull for Lynx. Lol
Look up break effect Welt builds. So fun. Enemies can't move.

I think it does really depends on everyone’s account. For me, I already have Bronya and she’s working perfectly fine. I’m never low on Skill Points nor have Dan Heng IL. I’m mainly hurting for more type coverage, particularly Imaginary (my only character is Yukong, who was free, and hopefully soon, Dr. Ratio). So I think it will be Welt for me.
I pulled on the starter summons and got clara pretty happy for her to be my first 5 star :)
Bronya should ALWAYS be the priority if you don't have her, but if you already got her E2-E3, I would go for Gepard or Welt

E1 Bronya is a choice that I can understand. I'm considering getting her E2 myself. Welt has been gaining a fair bit of clout lately tho and I don't have him.
If you don't have Bronya, get her. Other than that it's about what your account needs. If you don't have Fu Xuan and Luocha (or god forbid you have neither), Gepard is still quite a gigachad. I chose him over Fu Xuan this time on Floor 12, because his shield could actually handle the wind shear damage where Fu Xuan gets eaten alive. He definitely still has a niche unlike Bailu.
If you don't have Argenti, Clara is a pretty darn good substitute. She carried my first half of Floor 12 against Kafka. The more cringe the enemy is, the stronger she gets. Like how Kafka just gets so many actions against you. Clara claps back. every. single. time. When her regular counters deal upwards of 20k and enhanced around 60k, it really adds up quick. Her synergy with Lynx who is free is amazing too.
I think I would put Himeko as the second best DPS to get on standard. Her potential for dual dps comps and synergy with break teams puts her head and shoulders above Yanqing in my book. She takes a lot of investment to get off the ground, but buffed against a full field of enemies her ultimate can be one of the most beautiful sights in the game.
Gepard is the best anywhere except in a blade team
Praying that I get Bronya and her E1 in my Standard Wishes so that once I get my selected 5-Star, I can get E1 Clara or vice versa.

I feel like no UA-camrs discuss Bailu's ability to apply healing after you are hit when she casts her ultimate. This alone has got me out of some fights where I don't need a preservation character because she is like a healer and a preservation character. I feel like UA-camrs just don't buck the community's vibes just because they want to focus on limited banner characters more.
because alot trash talk bailu cuz they feel she doesnt cleans debuff so shes isnt as good as lynx like he said, but she doesnt have to her auto heal for 3 attacks is basically if you fully build her on relics she makes you immortal for 3 attacks...

It's not that they want to focus on limited banner characters or any of that bs. Her rng healing is what makes her unusable. Lynx can not just provide insane single target healing but also cleanse. Cleanse is something, extremely important, right now in the game and a healer not having, that drops her value by a lot.
Bailu was really great in fights, where cleanses are not that much needed, her Dmg reduction trace (which Mtashed has not even unlocked) is really valuable, as well as on hit heals. Even the revive can be handy to cleanse debuffs. I have Bailu and Gepard and I would never use Gepard over Bailu in MoC, as his shield runs out so quickly with speedy chars. Bailu is usually SP positive, as your ult and on hit healing is very strong. Nevertheless, in the current MoC I was kinda forced to use Lynx instead of Bailu on second side against the swarm.
@@stenborm3680 Bruh Gepard is several times more valuable than Bailu, if you build him right that is. I got him and his sig light cone so I have 3.5 K defense with a lot of energy regen and I have full uptime on my shield and he doesnt let my team take damage at all
I’m torn between welt and bronya. I’ve wanted welt since day 1. Also seem like he’ll fit in well with ratio and topaz, Luocha. But bronya has so much value and getting a dupe later on is a good surprise

Objectively, choose Bronya since she's really good for every DPS, even with Dr Ratio, if you have enough debuff tho. But it's your choice to who you like, just remember that you can beat the game with just 4 stars so just choose who's the most fun for you.

I was unlucky and didn't get my Starter Banner until the 5th 10-pull, and I got Welt. Was fitting story-wise too, since I didn't pull from it until after the Belobog story line.
From the current state of my account, I have A LOT of Nihility characters (Welt, Pela, Gui, SW). What I'm currently lacking right now is mainly Wind characters (only have OG Dan Heng) & Hunt (also OG DH).
Part of me wants to get Himeko since, story wise, it sounds like she'll be tagging along when we finally enter Penacony. However, I'm tempted to go with Clara for my ultimate-pity pick, since I can move a lot of Physical MC stuff to her and keep MC as Fire. But I might be tempted to go with Bronya. Time will tell
I want to share my thoughts abt what u said on bailu, I’m currently TB65 and I still struggle with quite a bit of stuff because I only have Lynx and Gerard as my main sustainer’s and obviously for team 2 would be like Natasha she’s not terrible but I find her healing just very annoying and I don’t really like her so for people that have these nutty DPS I would say someone that can sustain said team would be more valuable then getting another dps unit or Gerard who only really provides a shield half the fight lol
Gepard is really underrated with his shields however players should always go for Bronya. Your most likely going to lose 50/50 and get the other standards characters and not bronya.
btw what 4 star light cone is better for gepard that the preservation 3 star star light cone which gives 64% defense

Ofc, go for Bronya if you don't have her. After that, totally varies on what your account has/needs. Welt has always been a tricky one for me, he doesn't slot in many of my teams well and has always been an awkward fit. One time I used him was early days of Swarm to get thru Nihility path clear with Asta/Kafka/Welt/Bailu. After that I just simply never think to use him, not that he's bad, just awkward (and incredibly hard to build because he needs a good balance of EVERYTHING).
Despite all the comments here saying Gepard over Bailu.. it more depends on what your preference is, and all the stats show Bailu is used more in end game content. My biggest issue with Gepard is he can't team up with Tingyun... not even an 80 Gepard with a sig LC can pull aggro from her, which means she dies and he never gets energy from being hit, which he needs to keep uptime on his shield. Neither Gepard or Bailu can cleanse so that's their one drawback, but Bailu can brute force heal through it much better, provide HP increase, a one encounter rez and damage reduction, and if you play her correctly, 100% skill point positive. I don't' like shielders so Bailu is a clear preference for me but if you do prefer shielders, then go for Gepard. But one is NOT inherently better than the other.
Edit: neither of them are better than Fu Xuan/Huohuo/Loucha
I think Welt is more valuable now with Ruan Mei, and he will still get better with Dr. Ratio.
I don't have Gepard to test what you are saying, but in my experience, Tingyun is not THAT squishy once you have a decent build. Mine has 4100HP, nearly 1000DEF, 2450ATK and 153SPD. But maybe I have a biased view of her survivability because Lynx and Nat heal her when her turn comes up, which is quite often. I might be very mistaken, or maybe I'm failing to see exactly why you say they don't work well together.
I agree with many of things, which you said, but I will just say this. Gepard is better than Bailu and I will say easily why. Bailu can be swapped out even with 4* Lynx, she is just far better than Bailu. Gepard works pretty well and if you need two strong preservation characters for MoC 2 teams, you have only Fu Xuan and him right now. On top of that, some bosses in SU cannot be defeated even with Fu Xuan... Sward disaster and new SU are prove of it... Fu Xuan is pretty strong but she has one main weakness, she tanks dmg of all your characters... It sounds pretty great on paper (taking dmg of all characters and after it getting healed by herself). In reality, you will get one shotted by bosses like deer's special attack or Swarm boss AOE (taking 10k dmg at once is kind of impossible for her, only if you ger really lucky on good blessings or your build is SO GREAT, but it is pretty inconsistent). On the other hand, Gepard can block it with his shields and pretty consistently. With preservation path he can BLOCK SO MUCH... it is broken. So yea, for casual players, you are indeed right with your way of thinking. In reality and for more SU and MoC oriented people, Gepard has a huge value and even Luocha or Fu Xuan can be in some cases worse than him. So it all depends on, which content you play and how much deep into it you are... against bosses and normal world quests, obviously, Fu Xuan and Luocha are superior to him or Clara and so on...
For context I'm a pretty end game player, but Gepard has never impressed me much with the exception of Sim Universe on Preservation path and I still need to take a healer with him because things hit so dang hard it shreds his shield on bosses. I do have him well built too, well above the average stats compared to MoC 12 clear players. And my supports are built tanky too, I don't bring ANY character to any end game content with less than 4k HP and 1k DEF. Lynx is not better simply because of cleanse, sure she works out of end game content or if you are so over tuned with E6 dps they can kill enemies before they hit you, but I've tested her extensively in Swarm 5 and I've yet to clear a run with her as a solo sustainer (and again, she's better geared than the average MoC 12 clearer). Only run she managed to sustain was Remberance with March 7th, so another sustainer with everything frozen 90% of the time. She's still a 4 star with 4 star multipliers and her cleanse is tied to her ult, which is also her strongest heal (which barley puts a dent in my high HP teams' health bars). So you either have to play her really skill point negative or never have a cleanse when you need it. Yes this is all anecdotal experience, and I base my info mostly off of Swarm and now Cogs experience (I can easily clear MoC 12 in 3 cycles, so other than the weekly clear, I don't go there often). From what I've seen people simply just don't play Bailu right and therefore think she's bad, but she solo sustained all paths (but 2, and I had to take her with Gepard cuz he couldn't hack it) of Swarm 5 before Fu Xuan came out. And yes, situationally, all of the sustainers have their strengths and weaknesses. And I'm not really arguing that Bailu is BETTER than Gepard, just not worse. And I'm not alone in thinking that either, since again, statistically, she is still used more in end game content than Gepard.
I just hit this banner a few days ago; I went with Clara rather than Bronya (the only two I didn't have). I'd just picked Bailu for my 299th, and a couple picks after Clara wound up with Bronya. So I now only lack Jing Yuan, Kafka, Blade, Luocha, and DHIL.
As someone who has all the characters except Welt and Clara I picked Clara she just seems really fun to use from the game play I’ve seen. I also have E6 March and a few Eidolons for Lynx so I can easily build a team for her. I’m thinking Clara, Lynx, Ruan Mei and Blade as a team.
i already tried this team, my clara is ALMOST maxed (has lvl 8 traces) and i completed moc 11 and 12 with them. the damage numbers are kinda iffy but it works.
I got Himeko. All I'm missing from Standard was Himeko, Clara, and Bailu. and I KNOW Clara's good, I have her on a smurf. I already have E1 Bronya. I know the smart plays are anything but Himeko, but I was looking forward to Himeko since the games announcement, I couldn't have expected that she'd be this bad, she's like a top 5 favorite of mine. So out of respect and since I ain't have her yet, I had to get her. Plus, for MAIN story trailblaze missions, I love using canon teams, makes the simple story fights harder and feels right, and I know Himeko is coming with us to Penacony, so it all made sense. (:
Honestly, even though Bronya cons are REALLY good, I think you should get a different character you don’t have already. It just opens more compositions for you and even if they’re not as strong as other characters, they can be fun to play with.
But the issue is always, what's on your account (not yours but anyone's). Lots of people run into the issue of building too many units and then struggling with end game content. I know, I was one of those who built every new units cause of the shiny factor. Now I'm picky af and have a core group of around 12 to 14 units. All traced up to 8 and with usable gear (for me personally) and I can clear anything I want. So for me getting my Bronya to E1 gives my account a lot more flexibility than getting Himeko which is the last SB character I'm missing. I know i'll get her at some point but till then Bronya will do a lot of heavy lifting and that proc will help.

@@Airitzu Another factor is, like if you have Topaz, which I don't (damn you Welt... wait nvm he's awesome) and you picked Himeko up, then you are 100% right and you'll be cooking good against fire weak enemies. And yes the pun was intended hehe. What matters in the end tho is you have fun. Never let someone else dictate how to play, how to have fun or anything else.

My goal for the free pick (I'm 20 standard pulls away) has been in order: Bronya, Welt, Clara day 1. And I recently got Clara, then got her LC on Standard banner.
My 100% pick with therefore be Bronya and I have enough star glitters that by the time I earn her, I'll be able to get her LC from the starglitter shop thing.
Just pick the character you like the most. You really dont need an optimal team to get through the game, just pick the one you like most.

Got my E2 Bronya from my 300 pulls and I couldn't be happier!
I picked Himiko personally. From pulls already since starting the game i had an E3 Bailu, E1 Bronya, E1 Clara, and Welt. I already have Luocha, Fu Xuan, and Huo Huo as sustain units. I already have Jing Liu for an Ice DPS. So i decided just to get Himiko for fun, as none of the other standard units i don't already have are needed, and eidolons aren't really needed much either. Better to have a new character to play around with new teams in my opinion, even if she isn't very good
Trust me, I have an E2 Himeko built and she's so bad at dealing damage. As an f2p the relic grind is too brutal not to take advantage of Bronya

@saberxsaber_ I'm not a whale, but I do buy the 20 dollar pack every update and the 5 dollar daily jade pack every month. I've lost almost every 50/50 since starting for every character I pulled on. I got E1 Seele in 4 10 pulls and then after my luck plummeted on every following banner I went for. The Welt and E1 Clara I just got from Ruan Mei and Blade pulls, with the Welt actually in the same multi as Blade, so luck maybe finally is getting better.

I got Bailu in the beginners banner and the following 4 times in the standard banner. So, she was the only standard unit I had when choosing my 5 star. Welt and Gepard are my favorite units in the game so I chose between them and got Gepard and I haven't regretted it since. I always use him in SU since the Preservation path is so busted with him.
Now I have E5 Bailu, E0 Bronya, E0 Himiko, E1 Yangping, E1 Gepard and E1 Clara but still no Welt :( And yes I loose 50/50 a lot :D

I agree about Gepard, about the most of you've said actually. But regarding Gepard: I got him E1 from losing 50/50, I built him to some extent that he can sustain, but only used him in Simulated Universe just for test. Simply don't need him because of other great options that I have. He is kind of unexpendable for Yanqing, but I don't use Yanqing either. So Gepard can be great but in the most of the scenarious you just can get by without him and don't lose anything.
Have E2 Bronya already...probably still getting more Bronya. Just one more step closer to that E6 Bronya dream.
Imo, Bronya should be the 1st priority, followed by Welt. Then, Clara if you don't have Argenti. Once you have those 2-3, focus on getting E2 Bronya. Welt was the one who helped me clear full MoC12 on auto. He's a sustain and debuffer which you can add alongside your main sustain.
Clara is really, really powerfull. I was lucky enough or kind of, to have her E2 and S2 (i did lost the weapon banner 3 times), but she can easily reach over 5k attack mid game, and with counters reaching 40-60k (the 4 pieces physical relic set, is still the best for her as she scales soo much with attack). Now she can be a really amazing second DPS, like against argenti in the current MoC, having clara and Jingliu, you do nothing with clara and she nukes Argenti and his turrets. Clara is also a really freandly skill points unit, you can have her as second DPS with pretty much any other one. And there are some really good 4 stars weapons options, Secret Vow, nowhere to run, Rye Under the Sun.
So, if you do have bronya, and you lack a physical damage dealer, i think clara is second best option
