My first concert at 15, Monday October 17th 1983 at the Fabulous Forum. Paid $13.50 to see AC/DC. My Virgin ears rang for a week! Still have my ticket stub. 👍✌️❤️🙏🙏🙏
I watched these guys in concert, Los Angeles Sports Arena, in 1981. Easily the LOUDEST concert ever. My head almost exploded from the volume. Wall to wall pot smoking in every single aisle. Back then, security ignored it. Lots of fun. AC/DC: still, the greatest rock band of all time.
+Robert Jensen Yeah i can agree ..saw them in 85' at cleveland colosum, my ears rang for a day after the show , one of the loudest bands ever in concert. Iron maiden second loudest
Saw them here in San Diego at the SD sports arena. WORST sound on Earth. Not even an ocean of beer could wash it away. They partly blew out a stack but still kept using it. Oddly enough, one of the funnest concerts I've been to.
Love this! You can hear Brian is struggling with the high notes early before he has warmed up properly, but the finale shows his ability. This is a rehearsal after all, where the fuck ups are ironed out. Brilliant footage!
This is raw footage that will be edited for the official Flick of the Switch music video. (On of many takes) .. Also if you know the words to the song, them you know what Brian is singing. This is a great true fan clip. Thank you!
It was on this tour that Brian destroyed his voice and he NEVER recovered. There is a DRAMATIC change in how he sounded from 1980 to 1984 (end of the tour) and then how he sounded after (recording of Fly on the Wall and beyond). The depth, the power and the range (chest voice) was fully intact until 1984 and then it just wasn't anymore (he began using a high pitched head voice nasally and more shallow falsetto scream).
Brian on the other hand is a 75 year old man !!... you Try singing hells bells and back in black flat out for 30 years see how your voice sounds afterwards
I've seen ac/dc more then anyone else. the first was for those about to rock. When the cannons went off. it was unreal. there was paint fallen from the ceiling at knoxvill colisum. Love this band. I was on pcp the first seen then. the kings of rock.n roll
Gordie that isn't shit...I saw AC/DC open for KISS in 1977. in case the pcp has burned your brain, that's Bon fuckIN SCOTT ..you saw cannons and paint falling,I saw the Night Prowler, the Live Wire, the Riff Raff himself....beat that, lol
@AngryNintendoSegaFan In my opinion, a TRUE RARITY, INDEED! Back then, I've ALWAYS wondered what AC/DC, let alone another favorite band of mine, did to prepare for a tour or a new album! Thanks to UA-cam, I, FINALLY, have the opportunity!
Don't worry about it; no one can. On the other hand, when you get to a video of an extremely popular band with only a few views, keep in mind that you're officially in fanboy territory at that point. When it comes to songs like these, only DEVOTED fans seek them out and you'll get flamed if you say anything that remotely resembles negativity.
Yeah he got a bit pissed at 2:10 - 2:11 actually he he said "fuck it" sounds like his monitors were a bit too low or he missed the pitch...still Brian's vocals are a lot more sophisticated than Bon's, I love Bon but Brian took ACDC into the 21st century...Hands down these guys stepped it up a notch after his passing!
Those here saying Brian couldn't hit the highs because he was just not capable are wrong. When he was in Geordie*spelling?* He hit those notes fine. Through this whole song he sounded like he had a frog stuck in his throat. Hungover maybe? lol Or just plain ole tired of rehearsing for the day.
I love Brian Johnson but you are wrong. He sounds like that all the time now. They kick ass live but he sounds like this every time they play. You can't sing the way he does every night and not destroy your vocal folds. Period. Any vocal coach or instructor that knows anything about good vocal technique will tell you the same thing. I love the guy, but his voice is totally fried. Sad but true.
I'll never understand why Brian didn't get technique lessons. He can sing that there is no argument with, but his high range is completely forced. Breathing & exercise would have helped massively. Typical of a untrained singer. Great fuckin band though.
More than having a bad day... he's doing vocal parts on their records that are clearly out of his range and it sets him up for disaster on live performances. No wonder his voice sounds like Donald Duck these days (before anyone starts a flame war... I LOVE ACDC AND BRIAN JOHNSON).

And Brian Johnson is deaf to show for it.
Brian Johnson sounds a litte frustrated.

BY FAR the loudest concert I've ever seen as well!
Very underrated album. One of my personal favorites. Brain numbing, ass kicking rock n roll from start to finish.
Powerage #1
Fick of the Switch #2
By any band.

Happens to everyone from time to time. The singing voice is a delicate thing. Brian Johnson is still a badass.
I really love the style of Simon on the drums, he has that charateristic swing on the hi-hat like Phil, and the same punch on the kit
Jaden Yuki. Those.are nice paistes
brian still kicks ass live. thats why they call it rehearsal
Angus is a monster guitar whiz!!!
Love the flick of the Switch album and will always be one of my favorites! It rocks!
The best thing about this video is Angus headbanging during rehearsals! : )
The way Brian glanced over to Mal right after the song says it all :)
Brian was 100% done with rehearsals.
Malcomb was on his right...he looked to his left.
Killer riff.
I love this song...although I'm not so sure about my neighbors.
Those beautiful JMP's in the background... Love seeing rehearsal videos! Get well soon Malcolm!
+DeadRepublicOfficial I think there are Marshall JMP 2204 or 2203 and Marshall Super Lead and Super Bass.
They are rehearsing you can see 3 or 4 takes on youtube alone. this is a real band not a band want to be.
sssjenkins exactly ! He’s probably not going all out so he doesn’t blow his voice out especially the way he sings
Can just imagine all the RAW Footage AC/DC has 😁👍
This is raw footage that will be edited for the official Flick of the Switch music video. (On of many takes) .. Also if you know the words to the song, them you know what Brian is singing. This is a great true fan clip. Thank you!
These guys, rocked, and so modest, rare to see such, respect due.
A friend bought me this album for my birthday back when it came out. A true friend, I wonder where he is today?
Angus still headbanging even in rehearsal! Hehe monster angus
I am always amazed that Brain doesn't shit himself when he sings.
hahah he's saving his voice tho, giving it 80%
Thanks for sharing I was at this concert Many moons ago so awesome to see the rehearsal downstairs in the forum
Absolutely most UNDERATED Album by any band.

@José Duarte lol. what nonsense? only if it's the only live show you've seen))
Brian on the other hand is a 75 year old man !!... you Try singing hells bells and back in black flat out for 30 years see how your voice sounds afterwards

1:22 : Beginning :-)
Vocally, that was a struggle for Brian.
far too high.. how could he stay in the band? im wondering
Did you want them to kick him? :(
ToneTest
he's holding back
@@ludocrious7898 No he isn't. It's out of his vocal range.
looks to me like its for the music video, it didn't matter how brian sang it as long as his mouth was moving which is why hes throwing it away

2:11 Brian says fuck this shit. Lmao
Haha, the wee "fuck it " coment at 2.12, funny as fuck :-), normality :-D
Brian looks pissed.
Phil Rudd left AC/DC actually in 19 May 1980
He was still in the band in 1980
Yeah he got a bit pissed at 2:10 - 2:11 actually he he said "fuck it" sounds like his monitors were a bit too low or he missed the pitch...still Brian's vocals are a lot more sophisticated than Bon's, I love Bon but Brian took ACDC into the 21st century...Hands down these guys stepped it up a notch after his passing!
@Bomenpulp yeah, he seems frustrated here, like he's struggling with his voice.
Man, Brian is really straining. Need to tune the guitars down a step.
Then it would sound like shit. Look at KISS and Ozzy after they tuned low.
Neat
Malcolm Young and Brian tlaking in mic
Brians voice is going..he's flat on the high notes.
They did this right after a show I believe, so no kidding Brian's vocals aren't there
@TheFooFighter161 sorry didnt mean to be rude but i cant understand what he is singing

Где родной ударник?
Ясон Феникс был выкинут на мороз из группы после превращения в агрессивного и неадекватного наркомана
Poor Brian, he had a hard time here.
tunaXonXtoast why?,didn't he write the lyrics?
Just listen to him though, he was really struggling
Havin a bad day....?
More than having a bad day... he's doing vocal parts on their records that are clearly out of his range and it sets him up for disaster on live performances. No wonder his voice sounds like Donald Duck these days (before anyone starts a flame war... I LOVE ACDC AND BRIAN JOHNSON).
no one understands that he holds back, saving his voice and not giving all in a rehearse
