Lucas Wilhan is a BJJ Black Belt competitor from Montreal, Canada. He currently resides in Vancouver BC, where he operates his BJJ academy Lapel Arts. Lucas is someone who I find myself competing against regularly in the Pacific Northwest, but we both have tremendous respect for each other as competitors and fellow gym owners. We discuss opening and operating a martial arts academy, class and curriculum structure, managing training intensity, cross-training, and mental training.
