Why can’t more instructional BJJ videos be this concise and useful? So much packed in. Thank you. Instead of one technique in one 13min video with talking talking talking talking…
Thank you very much Professor Ellis; I am learning so much from your videos which are direct, inclusive, and straight to the point without ego or bullshit! I am going to work through this video with my brown-belt friend. Thank you again and greetings from Australia.🙏
I've been coming back and watching to knock the rust off for a couple years now and I just wanna say this is one of, if not the most well made, well organized, starter jiu-jitsu tutorial seminar videos I've ever seen I'm my many years exploring UA-cam. 💯🥋✊️🙏
This was such an extensive technique demonstration video! Thanks a lot for this, I'm especially excited to drill these ones: Trap and Roll Sweep from Full Mount - 0:07 Log Splitter Pass - 7:17 Flower Sweep from Full Guard - 8:29 Lasso Sweep from Open Guard - 11:06 Mounted Triangle - 19:26 Straight Armbar, Reverse Armbar, Telephone Armbar - 19:48-20:21 All the Armlocks from Mount - 22:00 Triangle from Back Mount - 24:56
Fantastic video, great camera work, detailed and easy to understand instructions, more like this please, so helpful to all bjj practitioner on getting to blue belt or as a refresher
Great video thanks. Can anyone suggest how best to put this into a drilling routine? Should I work on all techniques from each position i.e have a mount escape drill round where I work all 6 techniques and. Do that for each position or just choose one or two techniques at a time from each position or focus on all techniques from one position only or 1-2 techniques from one position only at a time. It’s very confusing trying to figure out how to structure what I should be doing outside class time. Thank you for the help in advance
Tai Otoshi, Seo Nage, Harai Goshi are definitely not blue-belt techniques, but good to know. There are easy Judo takedowns for blue-belt. Also, Knee bars, toe holds, and heel hooks are banned in competition for lower belts
AHH that back escape gave me bad vibes. if you use your other hand on the knee, you can almost always escape the back into side control, instead of just guard, or rolling away from them in such a way as to give up your back again.

Back again 🔥
@@MegaAwsometurtle I’m back too… 35 years old. Third time doing bjj. I’m seeing it through this time. Let’s re-advance together!
I keep watching this before class over and over try to make sure I've got a full bag of tricks remembered and can do all of these
This was such an extensive technique demonstration video! Thanks a lot for this, I'm especially excited to drill these ones:

I agreed; well said!

love your way of teaching nice video. Cheers from Quebec , Canada.
Fantastic video, great camera work, detailed and easy to understand instructions, more like this please, so helpful to all bjj practitioner on getting to blue belt or as a refresher
Thanks I’m a baby blue age 44 😂. The terminology helps my scatter brain. Funny I got told to just roll because I was naming off techniques.
I actually learned so much from this
This is golden , no doubt. Thank you for sharing. Your a great teacher.
Love this! I’d like to watch this at least 100 times. Subscribed! 💪💪💪
my training partner and I are using this now to help get our blue belt much faster ty.
Holy shit, great video! That's very similar to our blue belt curriculum at our school and it's a breeze to watch, thank you!
I’m going to work on these techniques as a minimum requirement for blue belt.. thanks a million
Merci pour ce magnifique programme OOS.
This video is actual gold! It’s so underrated.

This old men is very good.many youngs are not like him.
Very cool. Love the Kesa to Kimura.
Wow, thank you very much for posting this video and techniques!
I needed this after 4 months of lock down. I might be still worthy of my blue belt when gyms open
This is absolutely great! Earned a sub, thank you for sharing these wonderful techniques in such a well organized manner!
Great, no bs breakdown! Thank you.
Thanks Rick! Great video.
Thank you for this absolutely useful quick reference guide
Great stuff. Take downs need some love but solid all the way around. I'd roll with ya.
Thank you! Thank you! Your videos have been exactly what helps me for studying. Hope you'll do a workshop/seminar sometime.
Awesome channel I’d love to see a no gi version
Golden content, thank you
Excellent video
Excellent breakdown
That's awesome. Thanks for the knowledge.
Awesome!!! Great Job.
Awesome review. Now gotta go train snd hit these on the regular.
I’m currently graduating from high school and about three years I might be going to Wyoming U. I can’t wait to be apart of the family
Really great, thanks for taking the time to put it together!
I you can perform all 78 of those moves in their proper situations , then you are a black belt and a very good one at that.
61 moves to blue and an additional 120 for purple belt
Disagree.This is just foundational stuff.
Beautiful video :)
Fantastic video! Thank you.
Thank you for this awesome video!! it's gold!!
This is great, thank you for taking the time!
Brilliant video
Priceless
Very handy during covid-19 to stay sharp
solid demo
valid,well taught.
Excellent and very useful reference! Thank you! Will you do one on self-defense techniques (punch, kick, lapel grab etc)?
Great video thanks. Can anyone suggest how best to put this into a drilling routine? Very good recap, is there a video of attacks specific to blue belts?
Great video. The belt variation pass should be reserved for drilling and competition IMO. I wouldn’t use it while rolling. Too dangerous
Terrific
25:57 it's my special submission on my all blue belt competitions 😎🤠 I don't know why judge always dq me... ;/
Comb what hair?
AHH that back escape gave me bad vibes. if you use your other hand on the knee, you can almost always escape the back into side control, instead of just guard, or rolling away from them in such a way as to give up your back again.
A blue belt would never be able to do all these! I'd be impressed if they could do all the escapes to be honest.
Nice
Heel hook for bluebelts? In the Gi?!
Useful when you enter a grappling tournament

i setting myself up for my blue belt in record time
I was a white belt 4 years
2:43 . 3:19 ( timestamps for myself 😉)
This is a bit more extensive than blue belt level, but excellent tutorial though. Thank you
It’s better to change the color of gi.
Both gi and wall are all black.
Thank you
Time to drill🙏🙏
You need to find an Okinawan Jujitsu class & learn what 'ma-tay' means.
hey, question is this your standard blue belt curriculum ? or is this typical for just training under you?
I would hope not. If you have 78 moves down to all the details and to muscle memory, you are far more advanced than blue belt.
@@Seegie16 I don't know about that. My blue belts have around 93.
@@dragonballjiujitsu So they can pull 93 techniques of live, like its no problem? Props to them if so.
@@Seegie16 That said it does take longer to get blue at my place than some others I've seen. So they have longer to work those techniques.
@@dragonballjiujitsu nothing wrong with having a high standard!
I'm a blue belt and some of these techniques don't come as crisp. this guy is a very high level brown belt
Top
78 blue belt techniques!!.. im a brown belt and have like 8 techniques 🤦♂️
78? i got 101
