    The Redbull was the second best car at best this weekend likely 3rd.
    Max was the difference this weekend. He is a generational driver not seen since the likes of Schumacher and Senna.
    Max is the only driver that can consistently win races when he doesn't have the best package.

    Catching is one thing , passing Max is another

      I actually want to see Max in a spec race or driving an inferior platform. He's a dominating driver in a dominating car, it dilutes the skill that he's bringing to the table and makes his winning the default setting

    Red Bull is no longer the strongest car imo. Max said that his tires were completely gone, along with the black flag. Max made the difference. I think that redbull is already close to the ceiling of development, and then it makes sense that other teams comes closer. Redbull/Max has won a lot, and now that McLaren and Ferrari are joining, we have a nice fight in 24 and 25. My money is still on Redbull/Max. It's quite special that Max on the circuit where Senna ( RIP)died 😔 30 years ago, Max tied the score with 8 poles in a row. That's special imo. Great vid✌🏼

      I ever but not so sure.... I think it's not that people caught up rather that they took a development direction that's having a negative effect on the tires which was a strength and the balance which affects set-up.

    Let's just face it.
    I think the Current order is.
    Max
    McLaren
    Ferrari

    Absolutely agree with you on Yuki! His driving this season has been impressive to say the least, and he absolutely ought to be considered by many teams!

    What we see is that if Redbull have an off weekend like the last 2, it's anyone's race.

    Max masterfully nursed his tires over the last dozen laps. He was under pressure not only from Norris but to avoid another track limits infringement. He definitely deserved "Driver of the Day" honours.
    Actually, it was Norris who made a few little mistakes during that pursuit, not Verstappen.

    Outdated track. A lap is to short, with just 1 semi long (straight)..Ps there was no track limits for Norris, he went over like 15 times when gained so much on Max.. Take a look, it was extreme.

    I think overtaking has become too easy in F1, so overall I’m OK with Imola for racing. My one issue is the only place to overtake is into turn one, and even then you need a big tire advantage out of the last corner /an error/a huge straight line speed disparity. So I kind of like difficult overtaking, but the specifics of Imola are a bit boring, though there’s something to be said for not knowing if someone can pass when they catch. It’s intriguing. Mixed feelings.

    I understand some folk saying that Redbull has maxed out its development and that now teams are closing in...I do understand the idea that they are reaching the ceiling, BUT given they took a new direction this season with new scope for development this csnt be the case. While it's true that they have lesser gains than opposition going forward, I think there is something gone wrong with the direction they've taken with their new upgrades that is having a negative effect on balance and tire usage. Once that is cured i believe they can drive that car on the edge and exploit its potential more. This is why we seeing such a performance drop off.

    The Friday and Saturday morning Max had problems with the balance of the RB 20.
    They had no data from the hard tyre and therefore did not know how the hard tyre would perform.

    2 things.
    1) yuki will ho where honda goes, and redbull knlw that, hell be at aston in 26.
    2) redbull need to sacrifice checo now.
    If he has a bad qualy, go agressive get in the way of other teams basically....

    Lando gets no respect. He has consistently managed his tires better than Oscar and has better race pace as a result. Oscar has beaten Lando in one GP this year. He beat Lando in four GPs last year. Lando has over double the points of Oscar in their time as teammates. It’s not that close, frankly. Oscar has potential, but Lando is the much better driver, and I thought it’d be a bit tighter this season.

    • @tyredf1pod
      @tyredf1pod  Місяць тому

      How much tighter? He was faster in quali at Imola and faster across the weekend (correcting for upgrades) in Miami.
      Just highlighting that Lando gets the big results but Oscar has the performances that don’t get the spotlight

  • @stevenst6337
    @stevenst6337 Місяць тому

    Absolutely nobody on the grid has ever had a win while their teammate is P8 on pure pace lol. Checo was slower then the Mercedes, who are the 4th-5th best team depending on track. Just look at how close all teammates are in quali and the race, very very little to separate their pace, then there is Max, consistently 3-6 tenths faster then Checo in every session, all year long.

    Max made a mistake and lost time in the last corner on his pole lap so the tow didn’t make as much as a difference as you are are making it out to be. You guys especially you AMMAR Sound sore and bitter

    This is Yuki's fourth season in F1 and the guy still exudes rookie, he doesn't have that Piastri aura in him. I will never forget that atrocity he committed last year at Mexico City GP, the guy was stuck behind Piastri that race and Lando was stuck behind them two, Yuki was in a McLaren sandwich. He could've just held the position and AT at that time would've scored so much points but nope he sends it on Piastri and ruined his race and threw his usual tantrum. But not only that, he costed Daniel a position as well cause Lando was then unleashed, McLaren switched their drivers position and Lando then overtook Daniel. Like this guy Yuki has been given 4 seasons to showcase his talent and I've not seen anything except that one dive bomb that he did on Bottas at AD2021 but then again it's Bottas the guy will open the door for you everyday of the week. But he's doing good this season yh I can't take away from him. And don't forget this guy Yuki lost his mind at Bahrain and he legit lost it when RB asked him to concede the position to Daniel. Imagine at the main team RBR, they will ask him to do his No.2 driver duty and he loses his mind and goes into a chihuahua tantrum...

      Otherwise, yeh I take your point but he’s doing a better job than the dude that was meant to blow him into the weeds
