    This is possibly some of THE best advice for 20ish year old men. I cut off my first (and probably best) relationship of 4 years with a girl I dated through some of high school into college, SOLELY because of the Fear of Missing out of “experiencing women.” Fast forward 4 years later and I’m single with an STD, which effectively terminates the ability to go out and “”experience women””

    Counseling young lads to seriously reevaluate their long-term desires in life and to consider trading self-interest and hedonism for commitment and synergy with another person is seriously great. This is one of Ricky de la Sticky’s best videos. It’s a mindset too, same as everything else. Glad for you Rick and thanks for this video. I'm 32 and I can't agree more, I just kind of muddled through my early 20s just doing whatever felt good, ya kno, girls and booze, and when I finally found someone I truly cared for it motivated me to become a stable, successful, and gave me more drive than I ever had for myself. It kept me going through the tough parts and kept me responsible. Everything I have today is because of the motivation I gained from wanting to be better for my significant other. Unfortunately she never came through to the same degree and after a 7yr long relationship she became a toxic, abusive, cheat. Now I've been single for a few years and I can't help but feel like with age I have the clarity to know what I want and give myself drive and motivation, but I agree in that I really don't know how to find a connection again after all these years, and it will never be the same as if I had made that connection when I was younger, I wouldn't wish a failed long term relationship on anyone, things are very different when you come out single after almost a decade, like waking up from a coma.

    Young people need to hear more of this point of view. I've been in a happy relationship for 17 years. I completely disagree with how relationships and marriage are presented to society. We have people who can't even hold a relationship, giving advice. Sure, you have the right to be selfish, set unrealistic standards, and assume the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. You may find some instant gratification hear and there, but most likely you'll end up alone, without even the self awareness to know it is your own fault.

    I was lucky in a sense as I met my wife 2 weeks into college and we married 1 week after graduation. Best thing that ever happened to me. She became my best friend EVER. Sure we had disagreements, and I found myself sleeping in the spare bedroom. But it was the best 8 1/2 years of my life. So many guys think partying and living crazy is the best life. But stability and responsibility grows you up so fast and can make your relationship so much more valuable to you & your significant other.

    A lot of men don’t have a reason to succeed so they don’t even try. Good times make weak men.... the direction of a marriage is forever so you have a better reason to move forward if you’re feeling responsible for the success of the family forever.

    • @saintx100
      @saintx100 3 роки тому

      they don't have a reason because of fucked up childhood or very bad genetics. never getting anyone interested in you makes it very hard to care about life. what the fuck am I gonna do with all the money if I'm not gonna share it with someone?

    • @Xplora213
      @Xplora213 3 роки тому +2

      @@saintx100 If you never try to get someone interested, how will she know you are interested?? Get the money, pay for the wedding and the house.
      You have the order of this around the wrong way. You must show that you are a good choice for the woman, and you do that by showing you have your life in order. Get a car. Get a job. Your genetics and childhood can’t be changed. But you can lift weights, practice wrestling, get good at guitar, and create a life that a woman wants to be part of. You build the nest, the birds will Come.
      If you are too young for this (16-21) you can still work hard at school and get ready for the victory of the future You. Men don’t peak until their 40s and 50s. Careers take time to build up.
      There are very few nihilistic men with a wife and kids. There is a reason for that. Hang in there. Takes months to turn it around. BUT that’s the rest of man. Women can sense your sense of purpose. Mrs Bugez is not with Ricky Del Sticky because he is a muscle alpha, but because he is driven and focused, and that inner drive and focus doesn’t disappear because he’s having a bad day or a bad week or a bad year. If he can’t lift weights he will still find a way to make sure his family has a good life. 💡 be like that and things will happen.

    I really agree with your message here. I was such a dumbass in college. Always drinking and sleeping around and doing fuck all other than working on my goals. locking down a good girl with a head on her shoulders was really life changing for me. House together now, have a partner for problems. Its like having a good buddy that doesnt encourage you to do dumb things

    I know this is 2 years late, but I started dating someone roughly a little before this horse cock video dropped. Long story short, I went through the same experience of just lifting and partying to focusing on academics and making real gains after falling into an unexpected relationship. It really puts it into perspective what’s important to you when you find a certain person to guide you into the right direction. I’m now going into my graduate program and making striated, consistent gains. Granted, my gf and I recently broke up for certain reasons, but a relationship when it’s not full of toxicity will guide you into a better path.
