I didn't know you could restore the mind of the dark knight with an elixir of mind. Granted the reward for helping Buckman's party is pretty underwhelming where you get better rewards for helping Trotur.
He says it best, "do you think this is a place where gold holds value?" Buckman is a royal, he is used to gold getting him out of any situation. In the world he is used to, it is a sufficient reward. Trortur lives in the dungeons of fear and hunger. Blood is more valuable than gold. It would only make sense that he gives you the better option of rewards. Keep your conscience or gain useful items. It is not if the dungeon will affect you, but when and how.
Yeah, the games always testing the players idea of morality. It's why the talk feature is such a genius addition. Maybe your enemy can be talked down and reasoned with, or maybe you'll just lose a turn and pay a brutal price for it!
I always felt like this should be a possible ending for Cahara. Guy went in just to get cash so he and his wife may leave their old lives behind. A favour with the crown prince could accomplish that easily.
@@ebygz4755 Nah, Cahara wants to come home to his wife and kid. He wouldn’t step into a walking torture armor, nor did he expect to fight an ascended God.
That journal from Trortur is the first time I've ever heard any mention of a character named High Priestess Selene. I wonder who she is and what significance she has to the story.
@@mercedesriveroscolman2997 that's kind of raises more big questions though, if Nilvan is acting as the high priestess in the dungeon, does that mean the people running the dungeon are in contact with any of the other new gods as well, and do they know that they're new gods?
Additionally you can send Seymor to slay Trortur after if you let Buckman be captured to Trortur's chambers, ending up Sir Seymor killing Trortur but being late to save Buckman
Personally I think Tortor is someone elevated by the god of the depths and I bet he lived and is more powerful when the god of fear and hunger is born.
I don't think Ragnvaldr would be against helping Buckman. If you kill Le'garde in his cell as Ragnvaldr he displays a form regret for killing the broken man, eventhough he's the target of his revenge. Playing as any of the other characters Ragnvaldr displays merciful, reasonable and even noble behaviours when encountered. If a helpless man like Buckman or a wounded warrior like Jeanne asked Ragnvaldr for help, I believe he'd hear them out. His real enemy is the darkness after all, and I think Ragnvaldr just doesn't want to see the grim fate of his people repeated.
I love your videos! Clearly much effort went into such in-depth analysis of f&h lore. Keep it up! I had no idea that Buckman was a prince of Rondon or that black knight in mahabre has such rich story. Blew my mind
So I believe that the cannonical ending is Buckman Seymour and Jeanne escaping bc cannonically Ragnavaldr is the first to enter and his ending is murdering all of the monsters so I could see him helping them out except for the Gaunt knight since he is mad I think Ragnvaldr kills the Gaunt knight
16:35 holy sh-, this theory of Trortur's appearance in the 2nd game sounds rad and cool to imagine. I am as a dude who enjoys this character and crazy theories, I would love to illustrate it. I'll hope on the new video
"Does this look like a place where gold still holds value...?" Chilling line

Wearing the Penance Armor, then jumping into the Toilet. that....that is the worst way to go out lol
Are you implying that you’d wank yourself to death?

truuuuuuuu
Honestly a lot more compelling than him randomly finding a crown
I like to think he helped the group in addition to getting the treasure. So he has more insurance.
He had to fight the god of fear and hunger, sadly, this makes it more likely that he sold them to get the penance armor so he would have a chance

She's Nilvan.

@@sadgreent5138 Yep
What happens to the others you sell out?
How dare you, we respect Enki in this household. Have you seen his dance moves??
The lore of F&H is so interesting.
Great videos covering it!

I love the way you narrate! Obsessed with your videos right now 🥰
You truly are the VaatiVidya of the fear and hunger community. Brilliant video

amazing vid man . and the vc plz dont stop
love to see somethings a played come to live in a way
How the hell did the Buckman Squad get into Mahabre if they do not have the cube of the depths? It is one of the biggest plot holes of this game
Buckman just bought a spare Cube of the Depths from the dungeons gift shop duh

The voice acting is great!
wait. Now I need to find out what happens if you throw a potion of mind on the Crow Mauler
Interesting idea but I think theres no option for that.
The Crow Mauler is too far gone for that.
amazing content! you should definitely make more fear and hunger content
You’re voice is so nice oml
Great video
Thanks!
“He looks like this 28:51” leave my son alone?? He is in a phase 🥺
Jokes aside, amazing video
