I've decided to skip on Fear and Hunger one due to the brutal gameplay and slightly over-the-top edginess, but I'm going to start Termina with all this awesome lore in mind. i know he's big special, and the only member of the Fellowship who turns down the trap of new godhood, but my big question is: don't the Dungeons have like a supernatural effect that saps sanity and morality? Isn't one of the biggest points about them is that *everyone* who comes here, to a *man*, if they stay here, it *will* consume them and turn them into some nightmare or another, if said person doesn't just get eaten BY some nightmare or another. SO why can Nosramus just live in Hell here and it's fine? to be clear: it makes SENSE that he's special and immune to it or whatever; i don't think it's a plot hole. but i would really like it explained (and maybe i missed it) why it is he can just tank the corrupting effect of the dungeons forever with no problem
Good question, their is no clear cut answer really, I think the answer lies in his approach to it. He's the only character who talks about the darkness - D man - as though it's a natural phenomenon and not something to be resisted or fought. Plus I don't think Nosramus has any obvious exploit for it to take advantage of, unlike Rudimer and the wider dungeon.

It's totally natural." and i WAS wondering if like, maybe achieving enlightenment leaves you exploit-less, as you say, meaning you can just chill. i wonder if Le'Garde's ability to wield Miasma without going batshit is also an element of that. He meditated on the cube and achieved enlightenment, so evil outside influences aren't a problem for him. Of course, save for those he already had with him before he started his journey.
