    Hey Bill, had to follow up on my previous post. I finally got to go out and walk 9 holes after work today (was at the Wells Fargo Championship all weekend). As reference, I usually play bogey golf at best, with a few pars here and there and a rare birdie every once in awhile (nothing consistent). Well yesterday was a different story, with this new swing I shot only one over par. I had 3 birdie putts lip out with a bunch of tap in pars. The hole that I bogeyed was due to me flushing a shot straight over the pin and over the green (hit that club 15 yards further than my normal distance!). Just want to say thank you so much!! I have never played consistent good golf like yesterday!! What a reliable, repeatable swing it is!! Cannot wait to get back on the golf course!!

      Well thanks Phil, it certainly was
      The most effortless 4 motions I’ve made
      In a while. For me I don’t need anything else to play this game at a high level for an amateur. Doing vids to help others sometimes creep into my game which my son pointed out to me hampers how I play. Yep, he’s right. In all fairness though anyone can do as I showed and improve their game 10 fold, it’s that simple as I explained to you yesterday on or phone call. Repeat what I’ve shown and start having a good time while playing it doesn’t get any easier than what I’ve shown. For those wanting more, well this isn’t the place to find that information. Sorry !!!

    Awesome video Bill!! I saw this last evening. I thought, it can't be this easy. I've been watching all sorts of videos trying to improve my swing over the last 3 years. I have a bad back (previous surgery) and every thing I was doing and trying hurt to some extent. Not enough to make me give up golf though. Just been searching for something that was least painful that worked. After this video, I had just enough daylight to hit a few balls in my backyard. I grabbed my 9 iron and hit some shots. I was amazed!! I hit every one of those shots flush and straight and they all went 150 yards (I usually hit a 7 iron 150 yards if I hit it good)!! And best of all, I had no back pain with this swing!! With the corner video and this one, I think you may have changed my whole outlook on golf!! Can't wait to get out to the course!! Thanks so much!!

      It’s impossible to teach Doc, all we can do is explain and it’s up to them to find. No we can’t focus on which muscle group does what in the motion but the awareness to what we feel can be identified if you just pay attention. The problem is we ask them to pay attention to mechanics and positions which we both know can’t be repeated at any level on a consistent bases. What’s left? Feeling our body which is moving as a whole rather than separate parts.. that’s what great players do they feel their shots they don’t manufacture the shot. Make sense?

    Yes i believe you're right, bobby Jones set up with this cupped lead hand but at impact it's not cupped anymore. Now that's Bobby's swing, are you at impact cupped or are you like Bobby flat lead at impact. It is a powerful way to move the ball and it does set you up at the top of swing. Good video because you said the truth there is nothing NEW in golf. Ty sir

    • @ag358
      @ag358 8 місяців тому

      Just subbed because what you're doing is correct and nothing is new in golf and you're telling the truth about it. Folks this is a very good way to swing, it puts you in perfect position at the top and just let it happen.

    • @Wooduck
      @Wooduck  8 місяців тому

      When the flip occurred, and you know now what I’m talking about, so does original grip. Your trail hand now is cupped and the lead wrist is flat to bowed. Right after or even during impact the process switches back to the original setup and the finish is definitely the same as setup. I will tell you why it happens and it should be there each and every time if you performed it correctly.
      Most people will do as they have been taught which is pull the handle through the ball to get the hands ahead of the ball. Then it all goes to hell, just the top athletes can do that and we are not top players. You were doing something that made it right and you didn’t even notice what it was that’s how automatic this swing is. I will explain in my next vid the Why it happens just understand and not have to make it happen. Your at that point of understanding and when that has been born the golf game becomes fun because if you screw up on one shot you will know exactly what happened because you will feel it and it
      Can be fixed the next swing instead of the range. More knowledge to follow and that’s great news .

      @@Wooduck I use the cupped lead wrist at address and yes it definitely flips the cupped wrist is now the trail wrist but I just assume the cupped wrist remains until after impact. Yes I've been playing great golf for years thanks to Bobby Jones. Nobody has ever explained this before. All I know for sure is I can move the ball anywhere I want and I'm pretty long unfortunately I can't do a full back swing more like a three quarter but now that I've seen rahm it really doesn't matter cause I can move it out there. Henry cotton has a three quarter and he was good with long irons. Although there's nothing new in golf you have come upon an excellent explanation of what occurs. I have a neutral grip with the blade a little open just a touch and I bent iron two degrees flat but could go flatter. Ty for reply

      @@ag358 Bingo AG, when we start to manipulate our minds that’s when we get into trouble. It’s hard to accept that it works so we go down rabbit holes trying to justify what we may think and actually its opposite as Ben Hogan once suggested. It’s time to use your feelings don’t worry about the mechanics because in reality the feelings you have that you know work produce the mechanics that no one can explain anyway. Just enjoy!!

Had them bent to my swing and I swear I can’t hit them anything but straight just like I did in 2004. Didn’t even know what the weather was doing around me because I was so locked into what my intentions were to hit that little white ball the way I wanted. I was good but the time and effort it took to get to that level really wasn’t worth the effort. Now, I just do little thinking about the mechanics and more intention is spent on the shot. When you can do that it becomes fun because the results you’re seeking just happen and that’s about as much satisfaction I can expect anymore these days.
