    We’ve been so close for so long, Bill. Arguably, it MIGHT just have started with The Tn Triangle; how can you forget “the center of you”? And, who frick’n knows? There might have never have been a Tn Triangle without a CL. 🤷🏽‍♂️ It’s been a blessed journey. Regardless.
    Vertical balanced golf. And the 4 foundations. Level. Vertical. Balanced. Stillness.
    I can’t remember. Probably didn’t get them all perfect. But, heck, if you’re balanced, you got them all. 😂
    Automatic is fun, right? What’s better! I like automatic. Perfect set up. Perfect start. No manipulation. No stressing swing thoughts. Just let the club take over and we’re just hanging on. Easy on the body.
    Great results.
    If you think about it a minute, as I said earlier, we’ve been so close for so long. Not that much has changed …. EXCEPT … our understanding. And with increased understanding has come increased TRUST AND CONFIDENCE. And we all know that is just gold.
    You can’t really fight nature and physics so just go with it. And enjoy your round! ⛳️🙏🏼
    Thanks for presenting, as always, in a way most can understand.

      You’re right Craig, it was all there years ago and the Tennessee triangle is definitely part of what I’m showing right now so it was a blessing with the CL days. Best thing that happened with that is simple, the people and friendships that were formed especially during Maylocks.
      I say I but I me we just kept plugging away because deep down we knew it had to be more simple than what was being taught. Well we finally did it and now we can actually enjoy the game and realize it’s really as simple as what I’ve shown, hell anyone can do this because there isn’t much to do. It’s been a journey I will never forget and it’s all documented with the exception of my really older vids being absent. Automatic is stress free and being kind to the body helps also. Thanks for hanging around I hope I’ve given you a new shot of energy to play this game
      Like we knew was there all along. I’ve also learned from you. What you taught me is patients I must have with others. Believe me you brought that out as one of my weaknesses and in doing so I’ve improved.
      Have a great time with the game now Craig we all found it together!

    Bill does this sound right? i started hitting the ball well following your instructructions on this video. all of a sudden I started hitting really fat. i felt as though i was to bent over from the waist and the club was going steep behind me. so I stood a little more up right and got my left arm across the chest. that seem to do it. does that mean anything to you?

    • @Wooduck

      @@abs828 you can be bent over too much Lanny. When you are you have to make a move to get away from the ground or you will fat the shot. Yep sounds like you corrected the fault.

    the problem with most amateurs is we brake between our hands at setup and the lag foot or worse. the key is to learn to brake between the hands at setup and the lead foot and the closer to the lead foot the better. the key is figuring out how to move the body to facilitate that desired outcome. most will find that the longer they drag the club from the top the more likely of this happening. it becomes a blend of pull and cast. I pull until hands feel like they are waist level and then throw on the gas and cast as hard as I want to, thus the woosh after the ball instead of waist level in the downswing of most amateurs. trial and error will allow oneself to find the sweet spot.
    the secret is, it all starts at the top, slam that rear shoulder straight into the lead foot. NOT around to the lead foot but straight into it. If I were to give one lesson it would be where and how to move that rear shoulder. the lead shoulder responds the same way in the take away. It is not around folks. think straight line or an \. this is the line the shoulders follow back and thru. this \ lead should in the back swing. \ with the lag shoulder n the downswing. they work down and NOT around.
    Glad to see you are still getting after it and the tornadoes avoided your area. know they were close and I was thinking of you and Tammy.
    another great thought to ponder from Mr. Tinker.

    Great Video!!! This is the first time I’ve heard of the braking concept although I believe I have noticed it in my swing at times. Quick question related to putting. Does braking apply at all? Thanks.

    • @Wooduck
      @Wooduck  6 місяців тому

      Good question that honestly I can’t answer PPGolfer. My belief now is one who has a descending attack angle are much better putters than those who keep it low to the ground. I also believe the trail elbow is crucial to consistency in the putting stroke. More to come on that subject in future videos.

    I was shown this in the late 90’s to 2004 ish or so. My irons were superb. And if even helped doing this with putting and chipping. I never did video or even know what it looked like. But it felt like a punch shot feel. Anything off for ground or a short tee was very solid
    Now the driver :(. Never could master it. I was maybe 1 good strike out of 8 or 9. I even experimented stopping the driver a foot before the strike
    But irons were spot on. It’s a great feeling when things go awry. And use when all things fall apart.

    • @Wooduck
      @Wooduck  6 місяців тому +1

      You’re just like my son Rock. He is a great iron player and he never could hit his driver as well as myself. I couldn’t hit my irons even close to how you or him either smash them. You both have a steeper attack angle which makes you guys superb iron players. You can’t do that with the driver it’s a different animal. I’ll tell you like I told him, widen your stance and drop your trail leg back more than usual. This will shallow your swing with the big boy and the break is automatically built in by keeping the trail hip locked and restricting the lead shoulder from opening up too fast. Now he smokes his driver, I should have just kept my mouth shut.🤫 thanks and have a great Mother’s Day!!

      Learning something, never thought of it that way but as you said some things we think make sense are really the opposite from what we are thinking. One more thing on the driver, pressure back not forward as your coming back to the ball. Go away from your target with the lower body. You will figure it out because you’re such a good athlete anyway.

    Is hitting the break stopping with your back foot or stopping with the lead shoulder?

    • @Wooduck
      @Wooduck  6 місяців тому +2

      With the trail hip back which is a result of the trail foot being back the lead shoulder will stay parallel to the target line long enough for the club head to catch up with the hands for impact. Right hip back left shoulder forward that’s your brake. Hope that helps.

Then guess what the blow up, get out of control. Sound like golf. Bill is going back to what works none of the gadget stuff that causes the blow ups or tree line.
